Thanks for the Video. So you don't think the Jig helped very much? That's a relief, I really didn't want to have to try to build one. I sure wish someone knew a source for the spline material.
Sorry that I’ve missed some of the questions over the last couple of years. I purchase the rolls of vinyl from PGT. I used to buy direct but they have moved me to a local distributor. You should be able to go on the PGTindustries.com website and get rolls of vinyl and the hard u-spline. The rolls come in 100’ rolls so you have to buy quite a bit. They do have 4 colors of vinyl available. There is clear and 3 different variants of tinting.
Been searching for some instructions on replacing the broken thumb latches and slide bolt assemblies - have you any experience doing this type of repair?
Is there a video for replacing the locks I have some broken from Hurricane Florence Seem the company that installed my room doesn't want to fix them for me. They never call me back.
Hey bro great video I'm getting ready to redo the panels in my three Season room I'm having trouble finding the square spline I'd like to have some on hand just in case can you send me in the right direction Amazon has been no help and thanks in advance
Steven G Steger I used to order it directly from PGT. If you go on their site pgtindustries.com you may be able to find a local distributor that will sell you the spline. They do mention DIY on their site so I don’t know of any reason the local distributor wouldn’t sell it. I don’t know of an online source to get it.
My question is, where can you find that spline? I’ve been looking everywhere and I can’t find it. I have the vinyl to replace the windows but I can’t find where to buy that kind of spline. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ROBERT DENNIS we buy our vinyl from PGT Industries, the maker of ezebreeze windows and they have 4 colors of vinyl. They have clear, Smokey gray, bronze and then a darker one that I can’t remember what they call it.
@@Mr._Chievous Round rubber might work and I might have to use it too. I found 1/4" that looks like it can fit snug and if I pull and stretch it I think it will go in tight. I just ordered some 10mil clear vinyl for a few windows and going to see how it works. I just bought the vinyl from marinevinylfabric compamy. I haven't found the U shape spline that I took out of the old frames. I sanded and repainted the frames and they look new now. I just need to reinstall the new vinyl I have coming :) The U shape spline might be easy to use if I can find some??????
Kevin & The Man Productions the only place I know to buy the spline is from PGT. I haven’t located it anywhere else. That doesn’t mean it’s not out there, I just haven’t needed to look. I do not have the specifications for the spline since I haven’t needed them I haven’t researched what they are. Sorry.
Butch Rambish Thanks for quick response. On PGT all I get is to locate local dealers and not any actual parts for sale thru them direct. There is a pro sign in that may get folks further but don't know. By the way, great demonstration video.

Im as well. I'm using regular round spline that fits pretty good but it shifts and moves the vinyl so the wrinkles are near impossible to prevent
Great video...
Is there tinted or dark poly available? I see many windows like mine that are dark poly but cannot find it anywhere.
