You are a life saver! There are several other tutorials that do not harness such existing features of the sketch to achieve this... Well done and very well explained. Lastly, the last step can also be achieved by really selecting any part of the tooth profile, which I needed to do since the pitch dia sketch wasn’t showing up (on my end).

how you calculate 2.5 mm distance between each gear ?

Is you are using off the shelf gears, the distance between gear axis will = (PD1 + PD2) / 2
Where PD is the Pitch Diameter for gear 1 and 2.
The pitch diameter should be listed in the specifications for the gear. If not, you can calculate it given other know values of the gear (module, number of teeth, etc.). Does that help?

In your experience, without having to draw up every gear under the sun, is there a reliable source of files for gears etc that would have a reliable gear models?I am surprised McMaster Carr models are so far out of spec. Liked and Subscribed🤙👍

Hey thank a lot! Just went live and intend to talk about this on there. I will have a video out on it later next week, but hopefully my ramblings will help you out until then.

@forgeproductdevelopment thanks for the prompt reply, I'm at work and can't really watch your stream at the moment, but if you could post a recording of it, I'll be sure to tune in later and your future videos. What you are doing is worth its weight in gold to any upcoming professional designer/sw user, so don't hold back
