Where is your power steering reservoir? On my 2002 T&C and in other videos it is mounted right above the coil pack. I'm assuming the answer is not "manual steering".
If you're car is misfiring it's the coil pack or packs and if your carbis older the distributor you can put mew wires and plugs in and it will probably run for a few days or more then it will start misfiring again if you beat on your car it could be internal or vacuum leak but for most normal drivers it's the coil pack going bad
Thanks. I had a cylinder misfire which moved after I changed the plug. The Ignition Coil Pack resolved the issue and I changed the plugs and wire when I got back from vacation. ruclips.net/video/YOsO-TxEmrs/видео.html
me out , I changed the spark plugs and wires on my 01 Carvana and after doing that my van has a ruff vibration at ideal or coming to a stop on red. I got a mechanic to clean out the threading where the spark plugs go and it keeps doing it maybe it’s the coils ? I also need an oxygen sensor maybe that will do the trick? If anyone has been in this situation help me out thanks !
Thanks! Very helpful. Did swapping the coil pack solve the issue or did you have to replace the wires and plugs? Also, if you replaced the wires and plugs did THAT solve the misfires? Thanks
Since I was out of town when the misfire started, I tried to do the minimum to resolve the issue. First I changed plug 4 which was what code P0304 pointed to. After that the code changed to P0301 which is cylinder 1. I guessed that it was the coil pack at this point, since it moved and replacing the coil pack resolved the misfire. After I was back got home I did replace the plugs and wires a week or so later. Here is a video ruclips.net/video/YOsO-TxEmrs/видео.html
My 2006 is idling and running too bad to drive. Strong smell of gas in the cabin as well. Replaced all plugs and 02 sensor, no luck. Could it be my coil pack?
Roland Henry, I'm currently having the exact same problem. it runs bad almost bogs and smells strong gas inside cabin if vehicle. did you figure out what was wrong?
@@snowstorm8867 Not yet unfortunately. It's been too hot outside lately to troubleshoot. Others have suggested a few things to try but I haven't had a chance: Belt tensioner, intake manifold gaskets (upper and lower), warped head from overheating (worst case scenario I guess). I personally would really like to take a peak above the gas tank to make sure all hoses are attached and intact and maybe even the fuel pump but gotta get all 4 tires up on something to lower the gas tank. I suppose it could also maybe be our Catalytic Converters. Sucks there's so many possibilities with these symptoms.
I have had coil pack failures where the engine would not start at all or where it would start and cause 1 or more cylinders to misfire and run rough. I have been working on my cars all my life and learned that each car has some weakness in some area , this dodge/Chrysler type( i have one),for example the #2 on coil pack goes more then others, look at yours looks rusty, even the wire should be change, but your code reader said 4 and 1 .
This vehicle started to hesitate and so we pulled the code at Autozone, which was P0304, cylinder 4 misfire. Since we were on vacation, I tried to quickly resolve the issue without doing a full plug, wire and coil pack replacement, so I replaced the spark plug in cylinder 4. After that it started throwing code P0301, cylinder 1 misfire, so I guessed it was the coil pack and went ahead and replaced the coil pack, which resolved all of the misfiring issues. But then you take all the wires off the back all at once did you notice that and you didn't put them back in the correct order watch your video again ...... and you pulled number two plug wire off and the boot the copper boot was left on the coil pack and you're using Snap-on tools ... you are A PROFESSIONAL in the field of amateurs I don't even have Snap-on tools .... Thanks for your help. Very different setup than my Dodge Journey. 👍👍🇺🇸😁
I'm glad the video was helpful.
What is the part under the coil pack that the radiator hose connects to?
the ignition coil is most likely numbered that way because that is the firing order of the cylinders
Would you happen to know where the direct ignition coils are on this vehicle

This is a newer vehicle so the power steering reservoir is off towards the other side of the engine bay that you can't see in this video.

I would try the coil pack and cables, if you haven't changed them already. The gas smell could be a failed catalytic converter or an exhaust leak.

I can't figure out why number 6 is not firing
So does this vehicle not have individual coil packs on each spark plug?
No it does not, just a single coil pack for all 6.
