Hey Brad….I dug your reaction to Mr Bungle, California. I’m 50 so I’ve seen most of these bands like Bungle, live. Two requests for your reaction. Morphine - Cure for Pain and Faith No More - Angel Dust. Morphine is one of the most unique bands to come out of the 90’s. You seem to have good taste in music so I think you would like both requests. Thanks man
We should appreciate the band’s abilities, they did try to faithfully recreate the song in a different style, but…. Yuck mgk ruins it with the bland vocals
If it weren’t for the band, he’d look like a hopeless Ashley Simpson. Flailing on stage, moody and restless. He needs a bath and a rebrand. His team must be lead by Helen Keller cause this… isn’t it.
not a single person could cover a system of a down song, serj has such a unique voice that makes soad’s songs so unique. also mgk is just not good at anything music related
I mean, you can cover a song with a completely different vocal style and do it right. Stone Temple Pilots did a cover of "Dancing Days" by Led Zeppelin, and it's wonderful. Difference is Scott Weiland was a genuinely good singer
I feel insanely bad for people like Doja Cat or Tyler the Creator who are going to be co-headliners with this guy on some massive festivals this summer. Imagine dedicating 20 years of your already young life to becoming an iconic performer and finally climb every barriers put in front of you, just to be lined side-by-side with a talentless joke of a hack whose name itself is had been stolen from an actual gangster from the late 20's (google it, Machine Gun Kelly... he literally just stole that name from a legendary gangster...?!). If Eminem had caught that one up we'd probably not have to put up with him... I mean Interpol made him switch to pop "punk" I bet on the sole basis that they didn't wanted Em to meet him randomly on the same floor of their building. Can't blame 'em. The bitch hit on his underage daughter... I bet it was literally a security concern. MGK and 6ix9ine should collaborate one day, they'll fit well together in the same prison cell! :)
Brad was not kidding at the end there. It's said a lot and many times it isn't the case, but this is an instance where I think *many* people could turn in a better - or at least more passionate/enthusiastic/respectable - performance than MGK did here. Brad could, I could, you watching/reading this could, everyone else in the band performing that night could, hell most of the crowd could. This was 100% the work of someone that is ubiquitous yet mediocre, and full of himself to the point that he isn't trying because he feels he doesn't have to. Awful.
I knew this was gonna be horrible due to the fact of how sirge sings & his vocal range is amazing definitely can't cover him 🤣🤣🤣 I would pay to see Cory taylors reaction to this
No, this isn't real, I refuse to believe this is real..............oh my god I thought you were exaggerating when you said how bad it was, if anything you under sold how bad it truly was.
The instrumentation is fine but GOD, MGK’s vocals are not suited to this track, or ANY SOAD song. Dude is so monotone. He does okay on the lower vocals like “aerials…in the sky….” But those higher, more expressive notes, he just butchers. His low voice can work. It works pretty well on “Concert For Aliens”, but his singing style just does not work at all for this.
i'm gonna have to unsubscribe to you now for introducing me to this misery. i'll never know peace again brad why have you brought this to the people :(
The song is simultaneously too low and too high for his voice . I mean I physically cringed at some parts , it sounds like he's singing it slower then his band is playing . Like his voice isn't matching the instrument. He bombs the low notes and then can't even reach the high notes.
Funny thing about the weed comment, my favourite vocalist of all time Ronnie James Dio literally did just smoke a blunt as a warmup before every performance, and he always did amazing lmao
i love people shitting on mgk, i just read that title and i feel so sad, soad is one of my most favorite bands and it genuinely hurts to see their song get butchered. they make such beautiful music and deserves respect and his voice sounds disrespectful to my ears.
you know those coked out producers who ran shows like Family Matters? This is where they went. MGK's career. "lets get you into punk kid" "i can't sing or play guitar" "that's okay just snort this"
Okay this is absolutely horrific.Yes he sounds like garbage fire. Serj is a powerhouse of a vocalist. This is terribly out of MGK range and vocal abilities. Saying he has no talent because he can’t sing like Serj is far fetched though. He needed to add some originality here and switch it up or pick a better song. Every single musician has done shitty covers. It’s just embarrassing is all.
I feel like not enough people are talking about the band, at _best_ they were mediocre. 1 second in, why is the acoustic guitar out of tune? Why is the acoustic guitarist singing an F when he should be singing a G? Why does the electric guitar have the worst tone I have ever heard? WTF was that acoustic """""solo"""""? Why does the drummer have a shaker instead of a second drumstick? I'm not even going to bother saying anything about MGK since everything that needs to be said has been done already.
As a smoker and a musician I can’t imagine anything dumber than smoking a joint and trying to sing at the same time. He can’t even breathe enough to sing might not be much better.
Honestly, the lack of talent can be forgiven, because I am not a very great singer myself. What I can't stand is the toxic behavior to absolute musical legends. First dissing Eminem, then Corey Taylor? Both Em and Slipknot will always be a thousand times more legendary than this guy, but he thinks the way to go around in his music career is to start stuff with respected and loved musicians. This guy needs to wear some face paint, because he is a clown.
bruh the issue with mgk is he makes absolutely ass covers and music, because of this he stirs up communities and he’s then posted all over social media… therefore gaining more publicity and fans
Tickets to my downfall was bad, but it was a trainwreck, at least it was fun to watch. This was just, like, boring, but also incredibly bad Edit: this as in mainstream sellout

This is for us Millennials what that shitty Puddle Of Mudd cover of About A Girl was to Gen Xers
Thanks man
Oh this one's like sanitizer on a paper cut 😫
We should appreciate the band’s abilities, they did try to faithfully recreate the song in a different style, but…. Yuck mgk ruins it with the bland vocals
If it weren’t for the band, he’d look like a hopeless Ashley Simpson. Flailing on stage, moody and restless. He needs a bath and a rebrand. His team must be lead by Helen Keller cause this… isn’t it.
when he maintained a steady polytonal D for 4 bars of chorus that’s when i knew we were dealing with some real talent
Hopefully he keeps singing like that, cuz sooner than later he's gonna mess up his vocal chords and we won't have to hear him sing again
not a single person could cover a system of a down song, serj has such a unique voice that makes soad’s songs so unique.
also mgk is just not good at anything music related
I mean, you can cover a song with a completely different vocal style and do it right.
Stone Temple Pilots did a cover of "Dancing Days" by Led Zeppelin, and it's wonderful. Difference is Scott Weiland was a genuinely good singer
First Eminem ruined MGKs job, and now MGK is ruining his own life.
As soon as you said the cover was of SOAD’s Aerials... I died inside. God, why
He sounds like some high school student trying to be cool and edgy while singing Wonderwall 😩
Awful.
I knew this was gonna be horrible due to the fact of how sirge sings & his vocal range is amazing definitely can't cover him 🤣🤣🤣 I would pay to see Cory taylors reaction to this
I have never seen a band carry their vocalist as much as MGK's band
I can't believe he even dared to attempt to perform this song LIVE.
He didn’t wing anything they practiced the harmony vocals etc. before hand. No way they magically knew he couldn’t hit the high notes or even try
This feels like a 8th grade talent show performance
I wasn't sure how much I agreed with the 'singing 2 notes' thing, but then it got to the chorus and something was SERIOUSLY up.
No, this isn't real, I refuse to believe this is real..............oh my god I thought you were exaggerating when you said how bad it was, if anything you under sold how bad it truly was.
You crack me up man, I love this stuff
I didn't even listen to anything beyond what you showed here, and I am speechless. What is this and why was it broadcasted?!?!!
The instrumentation is fine but GOD, MGK’s vocals are not suited to this track, or ANY SOAD song. Dude is so monotone. He does okay on the lower vocals like “aerials…in the sky….” But those higher, more expressive notes, he just butchers.
His low voice can work. It works pretty well on “Concert For Aliens”, but his singing style just does not work at all for this.
i'm gonna have to unsubscribe to you now for introducing me to this misery. i'll never know peace again brad why have you brought this to the people :(
48 seconds in, he mentions it’s an SOAD cover of aerials. I’m already done. In the words of the great Tommy Wiseau: “I’m fed up with this world!”
RELEASE THE STREAM!!!! it was so much fun 😂
MGK is the pop-punk Onision
The song is simultaneously too low and too high for his voice . I mean I physically cringed at some parts , it sounds like he's singing it slower then his band is playing . Like his voice isn't matching the instrument. He bombs the low notes and then can't even reach the high notes.
This is like when you're at a karaoke joint and the people in the room next to you are butchering the song and you can hear it through the wall.
What made him think he could pull this off, I'm shook. The arrogance of this man knows no bounds lmao
happy to see that people will dislike a bad cover video even if now they're publicly gone lmao
I’m not a soad fan but after watching the cover then switching over to the original… you really can’t help but be offended.
When are you gonna do some Elliott Smith? I'd start with "Basement", "Figure 8" for musicality, or "XO" for.
Thank you algorithm God for recommending your channel
you know those coked out producers who ran shows like Family Matters? This is where they went.
MGK's career. "lets get you into punk kid" "i can't sing or play guitar" "that's okay just snort this"
Brad, how much can I pay you to go to his concert?
He can’t even breathe enough to sing might not be much better.
wait how does he see the dislikes????
How can you see the Dislike numbers? didnt utube delete that option?
Have you seen the Nirvana cover by Puddle of Mudd?
Bro the Nirvana cover by Puddle of Mudd
I'm scared for this as someone who loves SOAD but hates MGK
I'm 20, can't stand MGK. My sister is 13, LOVES him. I think anyone who has the slightest understanding of music can see how bad this is
How do you see the dislike count
Honestly, the lack of talent can be forgiven, because I am not a very great singer myself. What I can't stand is the toxic behavior to absolute musical legends. First dissing Eminem, then Corey Taylor? Both Em and Slipknot will always be a thousand times more legendary than this guy, but he thinks the way to go around in his music career is to start stuff with respected and loved musicians. This guy needs to wear some face paint, because he is a clown.
bruh the issue with mgk is he makes absolutely ass covers and music, because of this he stirs up communities and he’s then posted all over social media… therefore gaining more publicity and fans
wait how were you able to see the dislikes
You know you know nothing when you attempt to do something like this like THIS.
Tickets to my downfall was bad, but it was a trainwreck, at least it was fun to watch. This was just, like, boring, but also incredibly bad
Edit: this as in mainstream sellout
Why did I read the title as "the worst line of coke I have ever done"?
Disappointed this wasn’t hilariously bad like the About a Girl cover. It’s more just underwhelming and not very noteworthy (other than his ridiculous stage presence with the joint and all that)
Wait, dislike ratio? How?
Somehow worse than his Misery Business cover, and that's hard to do
If you want to see what happened to the world in one song this is it.
System of a down was high as fuck and they have way better performances
wow, this is how my chemistry grade sounds like
Is he channeling Staley from AIC's Unplugged album? I mean with the purple lighting, smoking weed and being high as shit
