Please help me ; this video is perfect, good one. I always have this - how do you check the completeness,consistency and the all data quality dimensions using Excel. Is there a way to even automate it please
Many survey data collection platforms offers features for data quality checks like validations, skip logic, etc. While data quality generally begins from the questionnaire design stage, survey platforms can be maximized to further ensure data quality, consistency & completeness. Excel only uses data you feed it. So if you have not already implemented data quality during data collection, there is little excel can can do. However, there are so many ways you can automate key data quality & consistency checks in excel by setting up preliminary analysis like cross-tabulations of key quality checks variables during data collection. You do this by connecting your data from your survey platform to excel & setup some few preliminary analysis like number of completed responses, gender distribution of responses & quota management without having to visit the survey platform all the time to get the necessary statistics. Additionally, you can automate data cleaning in Power query so that you don't repeat the process as new responses come in. This also helps you fast track analysis if you will be doing that in analysis. I will consider making a video on this in my subsequent content.
