Of all the things I want to do post-COVID, just spending a day at the mall has suddenly found it's way to the top of my list. Like many Edmontonians I've complained about the mall heaps, but to just spend a normal day there taking in some attractions seems like the right taste of regularity without going over the top. Yes I know you can go now, but with the pandemic lingering over our heads it's just not the same.
if it’s a biplane it cannot be but if it’s a triplane it could be Fokker Dr.I the famous plane flown by the Manfred von Richthofen better known as Red Baron
Fellow Edmontonian here coming up on four years in Japan. The last time I was back home was for Christmas 2017, but even then I didn't return to West Ed. I can't believe how much the mall has changed in the time I've been gone. Can anyone clarify what exactly in the mall this new LEGO store is replacing?
All other Edmonton area casinos have been open since June. Starlight at wem and it's sister casino Grand Villa downtown have remained closed since March with no updates at all about reopening. It's the malls largest tenant and that's a lot of space not being used.
so to make up for the fire breathing dragon in the movie theatre, they pay homage to it in the lego store. Interesting
I am so excited to start working here, the shop looks fantastic!
It reminds me of the LEGO house (it’s the LEGO hq)
The things in the trash bag are probably the sea dragon thing that’s at many different LEGO places

I was just standing on the second floor looking at this an hour ago. Sorry I missed the premiere!!
What are YOUR predictions for the two "mystery" statues?
Gonna go with a dragon and wizard
Something to do with Fantasyland or Edmonton’s History
It’s going to be the sea dragon thing
I believe it’s the most “popular” sculptures
I def. think one will be a dragon!
Wonder if it's the bronze whale?
You should do a story about the WEM Petstore history. Closing down for money reasons and more. I got some video and images.
Still hoping to see a video on the Turbo Ride that's under the Mind Bender.
THEY GOT THE LEGO THIS MORNING
Big one might be a moon lander? The rocks looked like the moon
I hope NALUG is able to do something to celebrate the new Lego store in WEM. Maybe make a scale version of the mall?
Another great video. I love this channel!
I love these videos buddy, keep it up
the chopper is actualy air 1 i should have taken a pic of it myself
Nice
I definitely think that the big statue may be a Dragon. And that other one, maybe it's a steampunk man, similar to the ones in the theater above
I went to the lego store in west edmonton mall
They just put in a massive replica of technic car in the store and a pirate next to the dolphin guy.

I hope it's the dragon and king kong 😭😭😭😭
Same here
I was looking at this yesterday and I thought the one statue was going to be a dragon
If the big mystery statue is a dragon, they should have made it red, as a tribute to the movie theater dragon.

The mystery of the starlight casino remains. No one seems to have answers as to what's going on.
