My fave type of vid...Have to say my "want" list from some of these houses is longer than my weekly food shopping list! lol! Fab as always Barry! Thanks for sharing.
I'm just starting my fragrance collection and these videos are invaluable - great information and guidance and Barry's in particular - seems like a real down to earth type of guy I can relate to. Non of the slick false presentation of some of the others and, if I'm not mistaken there's a bit of a Brummie/Black Country accent going on which I can definitely relate to. Keep up the good work and educate me more Barry.
What I really enjoy with these hauls is the anticipation as you open the box to figure out what style of bottle and presentation we will see, you can never second-guess it. All of these seem to hit the mark pretty perfectly other than the black forest which just wasn’t your gateau.
Wasn’t my Gateau🤣 I see what you did there. It was better when I went back to it and even better after 15 mins. Enjoy them all. Thanks the comments 🙏🏻👍🏻
So I'm starting my Bazza-binging afternoon with this one! You've become unstoppable with these hauls! No wonder you're looking for a new place! LOL. Thanks for putting these in our radars, my friend. I should check if these can reach my country. I'm quite intrigued by the Oud Al Fahkhama. Very well done, Barry! Much love to you and the family!!!
I'm also one of those loving your middle eastern hauls 😂 and since living in uae i can get these frags even few pounds cheaper i feel like a lucky winner 🏆 keep up good work Barry!
Amazingly cheap. I wonder if they ship to France. Thanks for making us discover them. I actually bought some I discovered in your other videos. Cheers.
I know that Laurenjayparis make some of their own frags in France, hence the name, so they might do, drop them an email, they are nice people to chat with.🙏🏻👍🏻
barry you need to get some merchandise, a tshirt with an arabic fragrance and in a big bubble the words "THATS REALLY NICE" i would be the first buyer lol, great video
Hey Barry, great review! Think LaurenJayParis got the notes of MUSK AL FAKHAMA and INTENSE MUSK BY ARABIYAT mixed up as I definitely get strong prominent pear note with Jasmine and rose from MUSK AL FAKHAMA.
@@Scentualise Yeah defo mate let men know if you pick up the pear. These are the notes currently listed for INTENSE MUSK BY ARABIYAT(another my perfumes frag) Top notes: Pear, Turkish rose Heart notes: Cloves, gillyflower , Jasmine, Rose, Violet Base notes: Musk, White musk And those are pretty much on point with what I detect in MY PERFUMES MUSK AL FAKHAMA
@@MoistTissues been wearing it for nearly 3 hours and I might get a bit of pear but if it is then it’s a dry pear, I don’t get cloves and they are one of my fave notes and give frags a sour punchiness which I don’t get.
@@Scentualise its weird how frags are different on other people's skin, Musk Al Fakhama on my skin is very fresh, musky and floral with a strong pear note that stays throughout. Oud Al Fakhama in the black bottle, is very soapy on my skin and then subdues to a toffee sweet with a hint of soap. Its crazy! Either way really enjoy both and can't go wrong for the money!
How does Oud Fakhama perform and which other fragrance resembles please? I also have Oud Al Layl and Al Faris, recently got Oud Khashab Gold and is a different style (fresh, a bit spicy and sweet, very easy to wear)
What does it smell like mate? Some people compare it to Drakkar Noir? I'm really confused about that Maahir line. Some say original is fruity frag, others say it is kinda like Tuscan Leather, so where them fruits come from? 😳 And there's even less credible info about Black one.
@@jdaniels4898 I have just bought both, I have a first impressions of the gold one and 3 other frags out today or tomorrow and I will film the black one and get that out later this week.👍🏻🙏🏻
@@Scentualise Yeah sorry Barry ... just watched that video now! I take it back . 😂😂👍 I will definitely buy this fragrance as well for hubby. Have you also tried Jazzab silver bottle ? I blind bought it for hubby and he loved it .
I recently bought "TOBACCO" by "My Perfumes; I can say it's a great Tobacco fragrance, it has some sweetness that holds the tobacco and it's really a very unisex fragrance as you cannot place it to either side (male or female), very long-lasting EDP and a good projection, actually I can say it last more than 10 hours in my skin ............. for the price I paid £36.50 pounds I can say the price is very low compare with the high quality of this fragrance .......... a kind of refine and opulent tobacco+woods+cedar/vanilla scent, that people have noticed on me when I have been wearing it .......... normally I do not look for compliments or being noticed by people as I wear my fragrances because I like them, but this fragrance really has the people's noses caught every time I wear it.
Not all of them are heavy and eastern. Some of them are more to european-nose made. I have Ard Al Zaafaran Dirham Silver, it's bright, citrusy and european. Rasasi Kun Mukhtalifan is also interesting freshie and not your typical heavy arabic scent, it reminds me of something i can't really recognize like that. Azzarro Chrome vibe maybe? Not sure. And Ajmal Blu. And that's just few of original scents i own and try. There are tons of clones of european frags. In fact, i'm going to get a bottle of Al Haramain's Amber Oud Gold this weekend. Thing been said to be Sospiro's - Erba Pura clone. And performance is next to none. I ordered sample on Ebay, and it seemed to me like a fake, too similar to Lattafa Ana Abiyedh (which supposed to be Amber Oud Gold cheaper clone, clone of clone if you want). So when i been in city, i noticed arabic perfume shop open, so i popped in and asked for a blotter with frag. My wife instantly loved that, and accepted we'll buy it, as there was none on stock last week. Fruity, vanilla, musky beastness. That fake i got from ebay last on blotter for about a day, which is not bad actually, and smell is reminiscent, but more synthetic. Al Haramain smell strong from blotter even now, after 4 days. Performance is just nuclear. If you have some arabic shops next to yours, which selling some arabic stuff, like shishas, bukhoor and stuff, they also may be selling arabic perfumes and oils. Just pop in and give it a try. There are plenty of them suitable to european nose.
@@jdaniels4898 thanks a lot for your explanation🙏 I live in California & I can't really like heavy scents due to our warm weather! But sure I will give it a try more! Cheerio🍹😉
@@belairscents there is a great website i usually check when i plan a hunt for some arabic frag, fragrantica.com . Big brands like Lattafa, Rasasi, Al Haramain, Ajmal and few other have quite a few frags in database, so you can look by a notes, and see people reviews. Of course, every person has different nose and feel fragrance individually, so can't take all written as a given, but at least it may serve as some marker. I usually check frags, look up notes, look what people say, on site's comments, then try to validate it with what people on youtube say about this particular frag. So next time i go in that shop, i already know the names, what i'm interested in and can ask staff straightaway, if i can try this and that, if they have it on stock.
imagine, designers & other niche houses charging for a very high price with bad performance & lots of reformulation..while on the other hand middle eastern houses charges less compared to what youre getting
