I had the first session of Root Canal Treatment done yesterday where they cleaned up my canals and filled it with temporary filling. With anesthesia, it was a breezy experience, no pain! (Though at first the dentist wasn't using anaesthesia on me and was asking me to see if it hurt and the drill on the dentin made it feel very sensitive). It was done in like 20 minutes and though yesterday I sometimes felt sensitivity, today I'm not feeling anything! Anyone watching, I got a root canal about 2 weeks ago and I have this to say. DONT BE SCARED, I was actually terrified and it quite literally barely hurt, no joke barely hurt in the slightest (mine was on the fine line if barely salvageable and taking it out💀💀) I was done in about an hour and a half, it literally barely hurt at all during. Not even pain, mild discomfort, like 1.5/10 and then the next day it wasnt hurting. Everyone heals differently, but let me just say. You will seriously be fine. No joke they hype it up like crazy crazy, barely pain, barely discomfort, was out in about an hour and a halfish, and the healing was straight forward with like Tylenol.

Root canals are scared by most people but I actually prefer them to having crowns of implants, the during the process you are completely numb and don't feel anything and unlike extraction there is no weird pressure feeling or anything. Worst part of it is after the first visit where they put a chemical to kill the nerves so they can be extracted the following week and it only lasts roughly a day and you can easily manage it with ibuprofen. The part in this video takes place after the initial visit and you have no active pain receptors alive and they numb you up further so its just a glorified filling visit and you get to keep your teeth (well whats left of it) rather than having a screw jammed into your gums. Root canals are always a win win in my opinion

Great video. I just had a word canal 6 years ago and sometimes it can leak from the feeling feeling my dentist went in and took out the feeling took the crown off. Took out the feeling and dug out all the junk in there and maybe a little bit of decay or something or cavity or something and feel it back in. I'm feeling a lot better now cuz I I would touch the tooth and it will hurt and pressure on it would hurt. So this shows exactly what happened but you didn't look this bad. My gums were inflamed behind it and in front of the two I'm just taking the rest of my antibiotics the CI it goes. Please response. Like I said I had a it was a week going on the x-rated and made sure there wasn't a crack in it. And good thing was it wasn't a crack so he dug out all the stuff filled it back in and when I get finished bleaching my teeth is going to put a crown on it. Let me know what's this. Pretty much the deal. Please respond. Great video! Great work there. My tooth wasn't that bad. It did a great job. Keep up the good content

So, I just got a root canal a few days ago (my first one), and st one point, the dentist used something that was smoking/steaming an incredible amount, and even more so when it was applied to my tooth. It smelled horrible, tasted horrible, and felt like it was choking me out for a couple seconds. Can anyone tell me what this was?

Even with that much decay, the Occlusal access area seemed way too large. It could make for easier breakage of the prep walls.....especially on a molar
But seeing some of the newer filling materials & techniques was cool.

If you are watching in preparation for a root canal. Don’t be scared. It doesn’t hurt. You are numb and won’t feel it. It takes about 30-40 minutes. I was watching HGTV and listening to music in the chair. Lol. Didn’t feel a thing. Afterwards, you might feel a little sore, but it’s nothing. The next day you’ll be fine. Dental procedures have come a long way.

This is the exact procedure I have been told can't be done. Resulting in pulling all but 1 of my back teeth. I've been regularly going to a dentist, flossing, brush religiously after every meal and combat drug mouth with several products as well as always chewing sugar free gum. I developed lesions inside my mouth and best guess specialists have said is Lichen Planus. Since it began my teeth began to decay rapidly. Aggravated beyond measure hearing other dentists say i must floss and brush regularly despite explaining I do... Fanatically. All they do is pull my teeth out and now I can't eat solid foods anymore.

@@youcutham4189 If there's anything to learn, it's not worth letting teeth go. I've taken impeccable care of mine and it's down to poor, lazy dentistry but please don't leave it to chance. My jaw is in constant pain from trying to eat with front teeth (bit of an overbite) and can't manage meat. If you enjoy and have no issue eating meat... Imagine no more summer BBQ steak. Or barely able to use a straw, which was a surprise. My diet will be mostly a liquid diet. I've been proud of not looking anywhere near my 57 years so now my confidence is badly shaken thinking of hollowed out cheeks. I'm angry most all the time because I can't hold any dentist accountable or pay to replace my teeth as would be ethically right. To "repair" old fillings only to have every single one fail in 2 years, ya, I'm furious. Do yourself a favor and don't need fillings in the first place. Flossing is awesome if you wrap it around middle finger and use index fingers as the guide. Many young people say it hurts because no one showed them how to do it right. Invest in a good electric toothbrush, it's so worth it

I've had 5 crowns put on my teeth....all in an effort to avoid a root canal. In other words when the dentist said a filling I got years and years ago is failing I would say crown it. Well eventually the worst happened. The very first crown I had put on a molar tooth back in 2001 failed and I started getting pain in that tooth. I had to get a root canal and a new crown. I was scared because of all the hype I heard over the years but decided to tough it out because I don't want to lose any of my teeth. The root canal was no different than getting a crown. Yeah I felt some grinding going on but no pain. Nothing. It might be different if you have an abscessed tooth I don't know. But a root canal didn't bother me at all. Now I am not scared to get the next one. 😁

I have had 4 root canals and all were very long because I needed a post, then the crown after the root canal was done. Now I have been told I have another root canal but the dentist whom is much younger said it doesn't need a post and crown. It just needs a filling afterwards. I was shocked. She said the other ones were huge crowns because they were big teeth in the back. Seeing this makes me less nervous because I hate dentists visits.
