    Great review! Mine started leaking just a bit! Lucky for me I was draining the gray tank to make more room for soapy water! I think I found my next purchase. Thank you!

    i like the idea, works for this camper because the bumper is very high off the ground. some Rvs the bummer is so low that the added sewer fence post holder would hit the ground and break. lastly, i would have painted the whole thing black. just to blend it in to the bumper.

    New to the channel but not to RV’s. By no means. Lol. I own everything you showed in this video. The side winder the rhino hose 15 and a 5 foot extension. Have owned the 15 foot for 7 years. While I’m not a full time rver I and a weekend warrior. I agree with everything u said 💯 percent. You could not give me a different hose. This is the only one I will ever own. I have suggested this to so many people with RV’s. My buddy thought I was nuts when he bought his camper. And I bragged about this product. He see what I mean 5 years in to owning his rv. Could not camp with out it. I have only used the 5 foot extension once in 7 years I owned the hose. Have owned the camper going on 10 years this may.

      That's awesome Kevin - thanks for sharing your experience with the Rhinoflex products! You get it - it's hard for people to understand how a sewer hose can be life changing, bur any RVer who has tried the el cheapo hose and the Rhinoflex knows there is a HUGE difference and we would never use anything else either. We consider it a CHEAP investment for such a superior product. Funny yoour buddy took 5 years to get one! We don't use our extension often either but it's sure handy when we need it. Merry Christmas!

      Road Gear Reviews thanks. Merry Christmas to you guys as well. My buddy got the rhino hose right away. And has owned it as long as he has owned the camper. Lol. My bad didn’t put that in right. I should also mention their is similar products out their. That mimic the rhino hose. But they are no where as good.

      Great to hear! We agree the Rhinoflex is hard to bear - the standard one NOT the Extreme (which we've heard is not as easy to work with)

    We too use the same setup, for over 3 years now. The RhinoFlex 15' with a 10' extension. It all fits together with the black caps at each end of the connected hoses inside the 4-inch bumper tube of our old 2015 Wildcat Maxx travel trailer and now our new 2017 Jayco 5th wheel. The orange drain end adapter goes in the storage bay along with the 'Sidewinder' support kit.
    I had tried two of the clear replacement elbow ends but couldn't find one that didn't leak and then found and got the short clear adapter that goes from the white elbow to the dump adapter and into the ground. That works great, but when our current RhinoFlex springs a leak from age, storage, and travel, I'll be looking for the built-in clear elbow version like you found!
    I've been at many campgrounds over the years and have seen many brand new RV'ers and all they got with their rig was a cheap plastic, usually blue, sewer hose with the RV connector but no end cap at all!
    A guaranteed mess and not the way anyone would want their early RV experiences to be!
    A highly worthwhile purchase for anybody! And a Great review too! Thanks.

      Thanks for sharing your experience Joseph, it will no doubt be extra validation for other RVers reading this. We always say even if you get a free cheap sewer hose with your RV, do yourself a favor and get rid of it and buy a Rhinflex instead right away - if only they gave one of THESE free with every RV, every newbie RVer would have a much more positive first time (and every time) experience dumping their tanks. But we understand... all the costs add up when buying an RV and it's hard for many to understand the enormous benefits of a quality sewer hose.. until they have had an unpleasant experience. Glad you enjoyed the video review - thanks!

    That’s a great review but I would like to see where you connect it to the rv. I have a difficult time getting the 4 prong thing through the hole on the bottom of rv to connect to black tank drain .

    Great review, thanks. Very thorough. Especially the RV movie portions, hilarious!
    I liked the RhinoFlex except for the one feature you mentioned where the collar on the hose locks and unlocks. I have no idea at all why anyone would want it to unlock.
    Unfortunately it seems to want to unlock on its own ... like when I’m trying to connect it to my trailer. Interestingly enough, the cheapo Camco yellow connector seemed to work as well without the unlock “feature.”

    Great review, thanks.
    One question, I've also heard of laws/rules that forbid laying the hose on the ground but I can't figure out why the rule. Have you ever heard of a logical reason behind it?

    • @RoadGearReviews
      @RoadGearReviews  6 лет назад +1

      HI Gordon, we suspect it's because if there is a leak in the hose, if would leak sewage into the ground but if it's suspended, you'd be more likely to notice...? It's probably just more sanitary wee expect and less likely to get damaged, trodden on or cracked, thus causing a potential leak or unpleasant situation! Often it's a county rule, that has to be enforced by the campground. Not sure if we are 100% correct on this but it's our best guess!

    Nice review. I use Rhino Flex too but ours doesn't have the end caps. Will have to look for them to complete the setup. Also, we had to buy the clear elbow as an extra. It's nice they are now including it.

    • @RoadGearReviews
      @RoadGearReviews  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks David, yes it's good to see the clear elbow is now coming standard. We believe there is still some of the older inventory at Amazon that is being shipped with the translucent elbow until it runs out...These are the little things that make our RV life so much easier - quality sewer hoses!

    I don't need the clear elbow does it always come with it? The reason why I don't need it is because I have a mobile pet grooming trailer that it is just gray water and I want to put it on my lawn it's just soapy water I don't need to see what's coming out. Is there any way not to have an elbow?

    I just bought the 15 ft but mine does not have the lock/unlock as you mentioned. Why? It looks like its preattached. I can't get it off. You mentioned you just coiled yours up in your wet bay. Do you put it in a bag of some sort? I'd like to at least put it in a bag of some kind. Any recommendations?

  • @mikebass3777

    My travel trailer has a separate tank for the kitchen sink. Does RhinoFLEX offer a Y adapter to make it possible to hook up both outlets to the sewage receptacle in a campground or should I simply move the hose to the tank I wish to empty?

    The reviews online say there is no way to remove the elbow and adapter. This must be a more expensive version.
    Edit: It looks as though the product is different now and the fitting are just glued on

      Great! much better than dealer supplied I am sure. That campground is a Thousand Trails park near Medina Lake. It is in the hills near San Antonio Texas. The deer there are amazing.

    • @RoadGearReviews
      @RoadGearReviews  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Gerard! Hmmm, that'd odd. We just checked Amazon's link and you are quite right - the image and text still show it as a translucent fitting, however, we just got off the phone with Camco and they assured us that the translucent elbow was replaced with a clear elbow as part of the most recent product update a few months ago and so all of the kits should now have the clear elbow, not translucent. We have asked them to update the Amazon image and listing description to show and describe the clear elbow. The one in the video we actually picked up at Walmart but we are going order another kit from Amazon now to confirm does come with the CLEAR elbow as shown in the video. As soon as we receive it we will confirm in the comments here and hopefully, Camco's listing (and website) will be updated by then too! We do expect the actual Kit from Amazon will come with the clear elbow. You could order it anyway, assuming it will, as advised by Camco. Thanks for letting us know so we could jump onto this and fix it! Have a great day!

      Not a good product. The ends separate from the hose and near impossible to get back together.
