This was my first ever show at 14 years old. Now I'm 37 and own this exact model drumkit. My studio used to be their old jam space. Just formed a Slayer tribute called Ghosts of War in southern CA. We're gonna pay homage to classic era Slayer. Thanks for posting this. Glad I got to see them back then. Jon Dette killed it on the drums. Better than Paul.

I remember this is how all slayer gigs were , ( for the most part ) 1988,89,90 I saw them and the energy was indescribable , when they fired Dave in 92 I didn't see them again until they were at donnington ozzfest , I wasn't there to see slayer , then the rumours that Dave was drumming for them temporarily went around , then we found out they were going to be in the snickers tent instead of on stage , we managed to get a look at the gear getting set up , as soon as I saw the kit I knew it was Dave's . Jon did fkn good .
I went to this show too. I'm super surprised I don't see myself. I was all over the place that night. In the pit, on top of the crowd, stage diving. I think I was the only one with the balls to do it. I would jump up and the crowd would carry me all the way to the barrier. A few times I actually made it on stage and went for dive or a flip before security could get there. I'm surprised because I don't see anyone doing that? Those parts must have been edited. Also the pit. At first people just stood there then I pushed someone into someone else and it was instantly on. Pure chaos...and pure primal release. I've been going to Slayer shows since the the 80's and they have never disappointed. I think this was an invite only show or something like that. Because by this time Slayer was already established for over a decade and were huge. The Whiskey is small. It was a special show...
Dave Lombardo will always be my number 1 thrash metal drummer and first choice for slayer , however they really should have hired Dette when Paul left after his first stint with slayer , Paul is clinical in his playing , very much a case of him playing the same speed and exact beats live as they are on the album , Dette really does have the frantic ,on the edge powerful style similar to Dave's .
It's missing the actual first part of the show. I wonder if anyone filmed Unsane's set. Chris Spencer would yell SLAYYYER between songs, and start laughing when the crowd went crazy. Great show.

I caught Jeff pick at this show
Hey i am interested in this show do you have the original dvd files
I found my 23 year old self in the pit during the Angel of Death breakdown. I'd love to get a higher rez verison if you have it.
Anyone know where I can find a good quality live video of slayer preforming “I’m gonna be your god” ?
For some reason it seems to me that Slayer played better in those small venues than in those big stadiums
IF YOU DON'T LIKE UNDISPUTED ATTITUDE, YOU DON'T REALLY LIKE SLAYER
A
Did the show start like this or we just starting randomly?
