Your first obstacle is easy to cycle around; I used that route many a time cycling down (up?) the estuary.
You should have stayed on the A2 route to Dover; there's some cracking cycling through quiet lanes all the way.

Best or luck man!! You won’t need it though! Google maps will sort you out up to the Netherlands no problem and just enjoy it. I would also reccomend www.Warmshowers.org - great cycling community. You can take a shower and sleep in other cyclists houses. Let us know how it goes 👍💪

Hi again. Try for a transit visa for azabiajan. Then hope china will let you in. Laos is easy , exept you cant ride your bikes across. The only boarder you can ride ride across is pakse /ubon ratchatani. But you can put yourbikes in a mini bus and cross that way

In 2018 two of us cycled from Ijmuiden to Bruges. Your route in reverse until we left the islands where we continued on the coast route missing out Rotterdam. We had the same head winds as you except going the other way!!

Great video log. Familiar places, having done a chunk of the North Sea route myself. Two things: there´s loads of stealth camping spots along the abandoned railway between Dunnekirke and De Panne, and the RAF and the USAAF bombed Rotterdam as well.

Thanks Tony! We did London to Paris in mid March 2023 for 1 week, and then set out in early June for London to Bangkok, so around 10 weeks difference.
