- Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is an upcoming mobile game set to launch on October 30, 2024, for iOS and Android devices. This game aims to enhance the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) experience by allowing players to collect and interact with digital cards in a more accessible format their phone.
In this video I try a new format where I open packs and yap about a topic interesting to me, that is hopefully interesting to you all as well. I really enjoyed recording this one, despite some technical difficulties in the middle. I know the topic can be a bit touchy but hopefully I did justice on it and was informed enough for an educated assessment.

The reason I don't collect real cards anymore is because they are to expensive and they lose value so easily just because of any small damage or even if the card is not centered correctly. But now with this game I can collect cards for free or a couple of bucks and I can even use them to play. I like collectiong cards just for.. collecting them. I don't really care about the value of the card. So having a cheap way to collect even though the digital cards are worth nothing or a couple of bucks its a more appealing thing for me.
Exactly. The argument about paper card resale assumes the cards pretty much don't get used to play... a card game. Ironic really. Pocket cards mean actually playing and enjoying the rare cards rather than putting them into a case and never using them. Who has the time and the community to play a physical card game anyway?

I think the best example is cs and wow for people who isn’t familiar with games
I play Marvel Snap for collecting, Pokemon will be my best option
I play also others games with cryptos, but its not accessible to everybody
I think it will be cool a way to collect things exclusively for doing challenges and show to the people
i enjoy collecting digital cards more , but mainly i dont collect digitals cards in other games because there is no trade function.. but pokemon pocket really got me into playing the games. i hate people saying other's wasting money on what we spend, but they do waste money on other stuff that we don't know. i don't drink or smoke, i dont hang out that often, my girl likes to chill at my home. So i always have spare cash to spend
Their value is in the utility of playing and/or enjoying the game. Simple as that.
Paper cards are essentially the most like NFTs when they are not used to play a card game but rather to collect. Meaning, their sole utility is to trade. Pocket cards are nothing like NFTs because they have no trade utility and can only be used to play and enjoy a Pokémon game. So paper cards are the NFTs.
This is exactly it, once they do NFTs right it will bring the best of both digital and physical
