- Is it possible to live without a car?
The Leiba Cargo is a big velomobile that is extra long to use for heavy transport and in this case there is place for two children.
This velomobile is equipped with a 250 W electric motor to assist when going uphill. With a velomobile it is possible to commute long distances without using a car.
On our tour we had an extra wagon to bring the children's bikes.
There is realy a big interest in this type of velomobile. When we have both the velomobiles riding in the centre of a town people very often comment on our transportation. The Orca which I use has no motor (it is quite fast without). I have used a velomobile to commute to work since 2006 (over 40000 km = 1 turn around the earth).
WOW! That little 'mobile looks like a BLAST to get around in!

Speaking of safety: the red of the Orca is a lot better visible than the white Cargo. Perhaps consider adding some red or orange stickers for better visibility.

Did you got the back seat for two kids with belts from Leiba? On their homepage I only find only one seat at the back. Or did you built that in by yourself? I'm looking for a velomobil to transport two kids and this gives me hope!

The seat is from Nordic Cab and Elmar at Leiba Cargo made a construction to holding the seat.
If you are interested my son is interested in selling the velomobile as the children now are older..

The best you can do is to first try the Leiba in Svedala. If you then want to buy one you have to contact the producer ìn Germany.

hello! fThe Leiba cargo is built in Germany! I reommend you in stead to look att the Quatrovelo built in the Netherlands. This is also a velomobile that you can use to transport a child if this was the reason for your quistion. Please let me know if you have any other question about velomobiles!

I have 2 kids so the cargo is the best for it , but I contacted the maker of the cargo model and he isn't producing it anymore.
So I think I can buy the classic L. Without the side door and just put a duo seat in it .
I think the duo seat and side door are the only difference between the cargo and classic L. ? How does it drive comparing to a lower velomobiel?
@@chevroletbelair1 Helo!How old are your kids? My son owns the Leiba Cargo which was constructed to have seats for two children. Now the children are too big for velomobile and I think he may sell it to you. It has been resently serviced but not used much since then. The leiba Classic is longer then the ordinary Leiba so you can not build on it. The Leiba Cargo is of cause heavier then an ordinary velomobile. The weight is over 50 kg. I have an Orca that I use and I have tested also the Leiba Cargo. There is of cause a difference but with the e-assist it is easy to drive. The duo seat came oricinally from a bike trailer.
