It's very very simple. Madrid have self belief, confidence and always have been clinical and taken their chances. That's all that matters at the end of the day.

@@Maik04certainly not in the CL. Bayern play in a way that's convoluted, play too many passes, make simple scoring situations complicated. Real are the opposite: they seek the most direct, lethal route to the goal
@@pritapp788 Bayern had complete passes 93%, Real 90%. They dont play too much passes, it was just about 500. Often Bayern plays over 600 or sometimes 700 passes in a match with a 90% accuracy.
That's too much of a simplification, Madrid uses different tactics to most top club.
Exactly that’s the difference between Madrid and the rest of the top teams. A lot of teams would break when you concede two goals that quick just like a lot of teams would’ve have been ran over when city equalized. We saw it in the 21/22 season too. There’s a certain mindset in that squad. You have to destroy them like city did listen season or else there’s always a chance they’ll come back.

I think sometimes they do underestimate Bayern, even though they aren’t Real, they have a similar approach to the games lately and I think it’s an extremely open game in Madrid and in the end both teams will have to be lucky to get through

The draw is a loss for RM. Should have been a walk in the park against this weak Bayern squad, too bad Real suffers from injuries, i said it against the City first leg, Lunin has tried his best, did lots of saves but he’s nowhere near Courtois. Sane’s goal would have never been if it was Courtois, neither 2 of City’s goals

Real Madrid are more like an Italian team under Ancelotti; they soak pressure and defend for lengthy periods, then hit you on counter attack. They are the antithesis of a traditional Spanish team.
But that's only when they need to. When playing against teams who they know by default will try to dominate possession, and play with a really high defensive line, Madrid are happy to sit back, give up the ball and absorb the pressure, because they know they have the concentration, cohesion and discipline to defend and, most of all, they have the quality to capitalize on the space those teams leave at the back and punish them with the chances they get. Against teams like City or Bayern, specially playing away, they know that this is the approach that will give them the better chance to win. They absolutely have the quality to dominate games with the ball and take the initiative (I mean, look at that lineup...), and against most teams, they do exactly that. But that's what makes them great, they aren't married to a system, or a gameplan, or an idea of how the game should be played. City and Barcelona are willing to stick to their principles until the end, while Madrid will do whatever is necessary to win. Their only philosophy is winning, and that's why they always do it.

Not really. They master various styles of play, like Ancelotti's Milan. Maybe Tuchel needs to study Heynckes and Hitzfeld a bit to learn how to beat Madrid. Hint: it's not through the use of possession-heavy football

That is little harsh on Kim. Sure, he made two terrible mistakes, but he had to play out of his normal position since Dier had to play LCB. Kim was man marking Vini by himself, as well as he had to cover both left and right since Dier is slow and always supporting the attack. Don't forget that Kim made a lot of good defensive stops against Vini, such as where he outran Vini from half line. In my opinion, Minjae should be given another chance but this time with De ligt instead of Dier. Minjae looked exhausted after 70min of covering Dier

This was such a tactical battle....Konrad Laimar clearly shows that he can be a great interceptor when trusted. Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane constantly breaking through the greatest defensive line on the planet.
Yes, a 2:1 would have been great....but at this point im happy as long time Bayern München Fan. The boys are trying....sad that Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and Mathys Tel didn't make it for different reasons. Today i for once missed a Lucas Hernandez or Javi Martinez....
I believe in Minjae Kim....his military service, injuries, language issues and NEVER really playing multiple matches with another center back like de Ligt....who also was constantly injured.
We definitely need another world class center back and by the freaking heavens....we need a defensive 6. Especially in these type of games in which the defense wins the game.
Altogether we seen a phenomenal battle of the two greatest Clubs in history....with Bayern München still behind Real Madrid....but we are set to give them a good chase.
I think Bayern München also would do good to look for another Striker type...Kane is definitely the most versatile center forward in Europe....but i strongly believe a classic center forward would definitely level up our offense capabilities....or Mathys Tel needs to get more minutes.

I still don't get jamie saying he doesn't know How madrid manage to get the results which tells a lot about his overall understanding of the game. Madrid is very organized defensively with and without the ball. They may not be devastating at attacking but when they get the ball and give it to Kroos they are able to manage the ball very well and control the tempo and sometimes make very dangerous counterattack. They are a very solid team

In addition, he was at the Asia Cup and therefore had hardly any breaks, so it is unfair to put this stamp on him.
He was not terrible. He did a great game but was unlucky in the most important situations.

Ancelotti became a gambler for Perez. What am I saying? All the media writing lies all the year: Modrić is old, Modrić is finished, Modrić is leaving Madrid... but the truth is just the opposite:
Perez wants to see Real Madrid winning big matches - without Modrić, because he will retire in a year or two. Ancelotti promised to Perez that he will make the team big as they were with Modrić. But he can't. So he is gambling. One more attack, one more try. Minutes passing quick, but Madrid is still losing 2:1. Then finally, in 76th minute, he realises ok, I can't do it without him. His defensive work, agressivness, chasing the ball, intelligence in intercepting the ball (he did it 3 times last night in 15 minutes), calming the ball even in his own box, never losing it, giving passes that nobody would think of, his courage in decicions and then effectivness and correctness is the icing on the cake that, for me, really sets him on a higher level then any midfielder in history of the crazy game
