UPDATE: The anime seashore and the rooftop short have been found, they are from an anime titled "Blue Seed Omake". The Seashore short is from episode 10 and the Rooftop is from episode 2
@@TheCaptainAmelia It was not a pizza hut ad! That ad aired in 2019, and has absolutely nothing in common with how I remembered the ad- I saw the commercial in September 2014. Like the above comment says, I've now just determined that it was a deal a local spot was having. Could still be wrong though, who really knows.
The "Blood and Guts" thing is from a UK Nickelodeon Halloween show called "Ross Lee's Ghoulies". I remember being obsessed with it when it came out. It only ran for, I want to say, all of October in roughly 2005/2006. This is the first time I've seen anyone else remember something from it. 😊 Edit - After a Google search, it started airing late September 2008 until mid December of the same year. The show is featured on the Lost Media Wiki too. 🙃
yes omfg nobody knows this show exists! ive actually written a post on the LMW forum about the show, and had gotten in contact with ross lee himself, although he never did end up uploading the episodes that he still has
Man, Ross Lee was so brilliant as a kids TV presenter. I followed him from the BBC to NickelodeonUK. He turned down a 4 year BBC contract for a short term NickelodeonUK contract that was cancelled after 3 months because his Saturday morning show was too weird for them. It sucks, he's barely done anything.
The Soulcaliber one is confirmed fake. Sophia admitted she lied and made it up in another LMW thread where she was looking for another piece of lost media and it was brought up that she never confirmed if the Soul Caliber thing was real, to which she said she lied about it.
The guy who claimed to see the weird hamster wheel of humans on Nickelodeon may have been real. However there’s a plausible explanation for why he seen this just continuing and lost it the moment he changed channels. If he was viewing this through a satellite there’s a chance that what he witnessed was nothing more than a thunderstorm or heavy wind and rain. Satellites signals can get interrupted during storms which can have different effects on the viewer box and TV. In this case I think he might have pressed the numbers that takes you to the Nick channel, but if the signal was blocked or interrupted during this then the TV may still show the info box telling you what channel you are watching and what is on however the satellite itself didn’t register the signal so it defaulted back to whatever channel was on before OP tried to change it. The interruption can also cause the screen to freeze, drop out or loop the last few seconds before signal got lost, which I think happened in this case. So it could have been an ad or just a scene from another tv show looping. This could have been doing this from the hours before but no one noticed until a tv was turned on to see it, which explains why he couldn’t immediately find it again, the fact that he changed the channel once and it seemed to have fixed the situation further backs up that it was just a signal issue. As for the media he watched, it could literally be anything but it sounds like an ad to me like a bank or insurance ad where people are in line and they are just using the hamster wheel as a weird metaphor for something that ads love to do.
I definitely can very vividly picture the scene in my head I am 100% sure I saw the commercial as a kid on my grandma's TV, which lends credence to it being on Nickelodeon since we only watched Nick and Cartoon Network- but I think you're right that it was probably a bank or insurance ad of some sort. I remember it as being a weird couple seconds and definitely not drawn out, I definitely mentally had it filed away with 'abstract antidepressants commercials'. It only being a couple seconds it is also possible I saw it multiple times back then.... It could also have been an ad played during Nick at Night? I just can picture it so vividly I definitely saw it back then.
@@GirrlyCreepernot to mention commercials were always played at certain times and i think spongebobs was in the middle of the episode! Which would explain why when OP switched back it was the middle of the spongebob episode-
@@GirrlyCreeperi think you're right, i remember seeing it too. it might've been 3d animated but i feel lime it was actually 2d? in a style kinda like an ad for redbull or antidepressants. the characters might've had briefcases and/or ties too
Ngl, I'm less interested by the Spongebob PSP commercial and more interested in the random, off-model clearly stolen fan artwork of Spongebob and Patrick smacking lips being used in a official piece of Spongebob media. How did that even happen? 😭
if you look up the actual "ist spongebob schwul" vid you can see its a comedy central promo trying to make fun of spongebob being a silly kids show where spongebob seems so effeminate and crossdresses so often (also google what schwul means lol)
@@numetalslug LMAO, that makes it even better. I can imagine some dude in Germany typing in 'gay spongebob' on Google images and nabbing the first image he found.

I'm sure that the Cayou/Charlie is a false memory or dream they had. I have a very vivid early childhood memory of watching a Sailor Moon scene in which Usagi is peeling apples in the kitchen with her mother and she is distracted daydreaming about Tuxedo Mask, so her mother scolds her and tells her to not peel apples while being distracted. It is so clear in my mind; it had the 90s Sailor Moon pastel colours aesthetic, which was the most memorable thing about this memory. However I've rewatched Sailor Moon, including all the extras and movies, last year twice and I didn't find any similar scene. I also tried to google the scene's description but I couldn't find anything. So I either dreamt it or it is a scene from another anime and my mind mixed them up.
yeah we've seen so many "vivid memories" that turn out to be hardly similar - if not entirely mixed up with other shows - after the solved media resurfaces, before. While I don't doubt they believe what they saw, it probably isn't how they remember it, and as nobody can truly confirm that it does not exist they'll be unlikely to get any real closure
memory is a really fickle thing and this guy seems so earnest that he really believes and remembers what he remembers. i dont think its bait, i think this dude is just having a weird brain thing that happens to many people. its why witeness testimony in like. literal criminal trials is really shaky sometimes and you cant go off that alone because peoples brains do really really strange things with memories and you can definetely make someone believe something happened that never did. i feel bad for the dude because its really hard to accept sometimes that whatever youre thinking of might not be real or true. and he doesnt want to back down now because then people will think he was lying or whatever and accuse him of making it all up when he really did remember it, it just wasnt real anyway.
I have a super vivid memory of 2D from Gorillaz picking his nose with his tongue in the Dirty Harry music video. I remember it so vividly because I thought it was so gross as a kid. Never happened.
90% the glasses woman is from a comic artist. My mom had a book from a woman in the 1980s who wrote sort of indie/underground comic strips (kind of during the same era as Daniel Clowes, R. Crumb and co.) with a very similar style as the cartoon lady with the glasses but I can't remember her name for the life of me. Edit: Lynda Barry is her name!
Looks familiar to me too and I definitely haven't been exposed to anything like that, so probably isn't it... I'm guessing it's just something related to one of the artists that worked on Courage the Cowardly Dog or something.
Lately I have been motivated to start actively looking for a strange British animated TV pilot that I remember seeing as a teenager. It was a comedy featuring various deceased celebrities that all "lived" in the same town. It followed each of them through various problems. For instance, Kurt Cobain having difficulty writing a Christmas song and William Shakespeare trying to help Elvis lose weight. After so many years of having this vivid recollection I started googling to find the show. This led me to a wiki article where I found out the name of the show, "Deadsville". Only the pilot was ever aired which was broadcast on Channel 4 on the 30th September 2006 (one article said 2005 instead). However, I can't find any footage online and only a tiny amount of information/discussion.
@@valhalladante9859 I don't blame you for initially thinking I was making it up because it was such a weird show that it sounds like a dream. I'm pretty sure it actually aired during the main part of the day and so although crazy and somewhat morbid it was suitable for a young-ish audience. I had a lot of health issues growing up and that meant long periods off school and as my school wasn't good at sending me learning materials I often spent most of my time watching TV on the sofa. Anyway, I've just joined the lost media wiki forums to try and get some more help and advice to find it.
@@robvanriot Searching around online confirms the name of the show was definitely "Deadsville". Are you saying it was a segment within another show, sort of like a compilation of animations or that another show had the same plot?
The lost media I’m most interested in currently is a 2011 iPhone/iPad re-release of a very weird Japanese point-and-click adventure game called Gadget: Past as Future. The re-release apparently didn’t do well in sales since it got taken down a year or two afterwards, and the only remnants of it are a trailer, some screenshots, a review, and an archived promo page. The re-release was mostly a faithful remaster of the old game, but the cutscenes were said to have been redone and the iPad version in particular was said to have an exclusive new movie, which is what I’m most interested in seeing. I believe the game’s creator, Haruhiko Shono, must have these cutscenes because there’s a few high-quality screenshots of them on his company’s website. I’m really crossing my fingers that with the 30th anniversary of Gadget coming up in November, the HD version will get a re-release or we’ll see something new entirely. Otherwise, I think I can only hope that a Japanese person still has the iPad version downloaded and can upload a full video on it, because the only westerner I know who has it has been unable to get his old device working.
This is fascinating! I hope it turns up someday. Japanese collectors do their fair share or preservation but don't tend to share their collections sadly.
The old lady from the wooden art reminds me of Maxine, the snarky old lady from the Hallmark greeting cards. It's not as close a match as my memory led me to believe but there's a resemblance and she is definitely one of those characters everyone's seen but no one can name

The Nickelodeon Hamster Wheel might have been from the 1992 Olympics Opening Ceremony where actors with silver-sprayed skin were forming a giant ball. If OP wasn't lying or making it up intentionally, it might have been that. Either they saw this performance as a kid, got traumatized by it and repressed this memery until a dream brought it back, or they happened upon a rerun of the 1992 Olympics, on a different channel they confused with Nickelodeon or a frequence error of sorts occured.
@@micjimster4845the solution to that problem is to question whether your actually 100% right because if there’s neither physical nor even anecdotal evidence from others and your memory is the only thing to rely on, chances are you’re wrong.
Hi @shaiivalley! I am from India and I remember this short video series called "open the door" which used to air as a filler in Pogo (Might be any other kids tv channel too) Each episode used to be from a different part of the world. (Like Open the door: Canada, Open the door: USA etc. ) It was live action and each episode used to feature a kid. It started with the kid (sometimes included parents ) opening their front door/gate. It used to tell a small story about the kid's day/part of the day and would end with the kid going back home and closing the door/gate. It aired around 2004 or 2005. I looked it up recently and search returns some horror films, stock footage with similar names. :(
I might have an answer to the Filthy Frank one. When I was in 8th grade choir we sang a song called "African Noel". The song we sang sounded nothing like the song from the Filthy Frank video, but the lyrics were strikingly similar to the song I sang, including a baby being born and it taking place at Christmas. Funny enough, I cant find a single video on RUclips of the version I sang in 8th grade choir, and not only that but every single video of the African Noel song sounds completely different. It's possible that the song from Filthy Frank's video was one of the many many varations of this song.
@@michaelbullen3104 I think OP meant "Don't be mad that there are 35 cases of lost media that we still have to find" and not "Don't be mad there's only 35 entries of lost media in this video." I could be wrong though. I think it could go both ways as well.
hey- my grandpa was a developer for woogi world. i am not kidding you. i remember going down to the studio basement where all the devs worked. i loved woogi world.
I was about to post about my own lost media story (a cartoon called Charley that I'd been searching for for literally decades) and wouldn't you know it, when I went ahead and did another quick search just to ensure nothing had popped up since the last time I searched, I not only found out who made it (TVC in 1965) but I found a video of it, too! So, I guess this is my "found" media story, instead. 😊
@@baconatorrodriguez4651 I mean... would you like me to point you to where I've commented on other videos looking for it as far back as three years ago? 🙄
You have a whole list of lost media I’ve never heard of and I’ve watched everything out there on lost media. Brilliant job. Pat yourself on the back for this one.
The thing that gets me about the Charlie/Caillou thing is that it just feels like it would be so pointless from a business standpoint. If you already have an English dub ready to go why waste time and money making such an arbitrary change. Besides, the title character having a unique name gives it a much more recognizable identity than just some show named "Charlie."
@LlMAX true. though, at least in that case, it's servicing different regions, so a kid in the US market is unlikely to see a "Where's Wally" book (unless they Google it nowadays, I guess). In the Charlie/Caillou thing, it's in the same region, which would only serve to confuse people in said region and hurt the brand.
I don't necessarily know if the Charlie/Caillou thing is real but changing the name of a single character actually has been done before! When I Was on a plane to Italy I watched the film Moana and in the version (still in it's original english language) they changed Moana's name to "Vaiana". This was done for a variety of reasons including Moana being a copyrighted business name in Europe. It's a romanian ice cream brand and also funny enough, an Italian pornstar's name. you can look it up!
@@firerinartthat’s not the same thing at all. If anything this is more like if the released Moana and Vaiana as two different films in Italy at the same time, but the only difference is the name and both are otherwise dubbed the same way.
If it hasn't been ruled out, the Man and Mantis short sounds like it could definitely be Space Ghost related. It sounds surreal and comedic in the same way, and it ran on Cartoon Network (Adult Swim.) It's not stop motion, but very stilted and basically looks like a digital version of paper puppets like South Park. Definitely an option to consider.
I was going to say this. Zorak could well be the Mantis character. Space Ghost Coast to Coast was hugely successful and laid the groundwork for what would become Adult Swim. It's entirely possible that this could be a short or insert tied to Space Ghost Coast to Coast, the Brak Show, or other shows in which Zorak might've been a "guest star". They would also frequently have customised or unusual animation on the show, and even some live action/puppetry. Zorak also had a tendency to hit people with objects raised over his head. Definitely a strong candidate.
The mystery cartoon woman with the bun and glasses- she looks a lot like a character I used to see on greeting cards a lot. Not sure if the character has a name or if she got other kinds of merchandise but they look pretty similar.
The closest I can think of, given I never had access to Cartoon Network and other such 'fancy town/city' channels, is the old lady from Recess? Oh, edit, maybe it's Gary Larson? He often gives old ladies those glasses.
I also remember this weird fabric toy from preschool where there were fabric insects and other small animals inside of it. I think it was tied to an old kids book and for some reason this reminds me of it.
@@TheJacksonvillePublicShittercould it be "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly?" It was a children's book and also had a plush toy of the woman with animals inside of her.
I really appreciate that your videos don't have creepy music or creepy narration to make things scary, even when you are talking about spooky lost media
@@ExploringNew1 I may not have realized it's silent hill music but I'm just glad it's not the same stock music or scary game music I hear everywhere. not saying silent hill is obscure but the music alone isn't that creepy imo. ambient 🤷
The alien jumpscare sounds like it used a picture either modified from the "Your not perfect" bit in Courage, or some image of the old Eyeless Jack creepypasta.
The cutout of the woman on the ceiling reminds me a lot of The Library Dragon, especially with the little wing shapes behind her. It was a book our librarian in elementary school read a LOT because our school mascot was a dragon. She even dressed up as her sometimes. The style doesn't match up, and the coloring is different, but idk its pretty similar.
That one about the girl with a new pair of shoes reminds me of this one skit in "Between the Lions" about a king who allowed his feet to get dirty despite having a new pair of shoes made for him because he didn't want to ruin them.
That alien jumpscare video might possibly be from the channel 'couchpotatotheatre' the description of that video is very similar to CPT's videos where there would be a slow zooming of something or a still video and then next thing you know there is a screamer.i remember back in the day when I was 6-7 inwatched a chupacabra video, there was 2 deer in the video, after awhile of that a jumpscare played and I was scared seamless. Definitely couchpotatotheatre.
Always love these lost media compilation videos, I learn about so many new cases from them! Most of these seem legit, but the Nickelodeon Hamster Wheel one just screams “fake” to me, especially with the user suggesting themself that there might be an “out of this world explanation.”
Yeah, I was a betting on a local interference until they go their way out with the "I change channels for a couple seconds, and when I changed back, everything was normal", like, stretch. If you're going to lie at least give room to the mundane explanations.
Same here, I was gonna comment on how it could've been a rerun from Are You Afraid Of The Dark but I highly doubt it is and Goosebumps not having an episode or book with this concept was ruled out. And I don't think The Haunting Hour was a show when the story happened. It was prolly an interference with another tv channel at the time.
It might be although I don't think it was made up entirely. The described Hamster Wheel scene reminds me of a segment from the Opening Ceremony of the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. In this segment, a group of actors with their skins covered in silver bodypaint were forming a giant ball which was representing one of the sea monsters or creatures attacking the galeere. You can see it in the actual Replay video of the 1992 Opening Ceremony from about 45:14.
I agree, I think it's probably fake. What sold it for me was actually the unnecessary details in the beginning, like what they were doing beforehand, how they were a 'huge cartoon fan', etc. That sort of thing is very common in creepypasta storytelling, but from the standpoint of trying to find a piece of media, such details are completely unnecessary, so why include them? Feels like a made-up story to me.
I remember seeing a short animated film on RUclips around 2011 to 2012 about a father who has a machine that allowed him to see his daughters future upbringings, he saw her becoming a ruthless dictator and when he was given the chance to keep or rid the baby he chose to keep his daughter. I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this video
Adding to the Garry's Mod iOS thing: I remember when I still had an iPad 3, someone leaked Portal 1 onto the App Store as well. The game was free to download from there. It had the same wonky layout as GMod, with the blue arrow buttons etc. It ran super laggy obviously. So you're not being goofed on by this Instagram person; I just think someone, somehow ported some of the valve games to the Apple Store for whatever reason.
I’m checking the wayback machine now to see if there’s anything interesting on the website it is still up today but idk if it has anything about the iOS Garry’s mod beta Update: servers had too many requests I will check tomorrow morning
I remember when I was younger and first figured tour that’s what smg4 used to make videos I wanted it and me being a dumb 8 year old checked the iOS store and at the time when I was looking was like 5-10 bucks
an actual version of portal 1 or the crappy remake called wormholes? cause I remember playing wormholes on my iPod touch, it was a remake of portal with no end boss and shitty graphics, I think it ended right before you explore abandoned aperture outside the chambers
@@GunDoom It was an actual version of Portal 1, it looked a little worse than the PC version but it was the same thing. I didn't play through it all, so I sadly can't tell you if you were able to encounter Glados at the end or not.
The only explanation I can come up with about the "Caillou/Charley" thing, would be something about a 3rd-generation overdub/redub situation. Back in the 1990s, before everything was converted to digital, local PBS stations in the middle of the continent -- US and Canada the regions of Saskatchewan, Alberta, Minnesota, the Dakotas, etc - would receive VHS copies of the tv series they were to air on Public television stations. Local stations had the advanced technology of being able to overdub a VHS audio into the local native tribal language. It may not be so common in the countryside of Illinois/Indiana to have foreign-language overdubs on a local public access tv station for a town with a population of 5000, but in large populations such as Chicago, Toronto, Detroit, foreign language local access tv stations are still a thing. What the viewer recalls seeing was probably a version of "Caillou" that had been originally in English, overdubbed to a foreign language where the name "Caillou" did not translate into their language, and so "Charley" had been substituted, but then someone at the tv station tried to overdub it back to the original English and never changed the "Charley" title back to the original "Caillou". Stuff like that does happen in large cities and broadcast areas where there are about 5-20 different public access tv stations for different foreign language cultures and populations, just rare in southern Indiana/Illinois. As for "lost media", I am trying to find some of my own! I am looking for some tv commercials starring, well, my younger brother and my younger sister. These were filmed about 1989-1991 and I know because I was there as the "stage mom" on the film set as their 19-year-old sister and watched them doing the filming. My sister did a tv commercial for Sea World where she is doing a monologue in the studio about her trip to Sea World, and Shamu "....kissed me! Right here!" It would have aired in Orlando, Cleveland, or San Antonio. (YES I HAVE BEEN SKIMMING THROUgH YOUTBE VIDEOS OF 90s COMMERCIALS ALREADY THANK YOU VERY MUCH) My sister also was in a Chrysler/Plymouth commercial about the Town and Country minivan. She is riding in the van with her tv commercial mom and dad and sibling at the coast with a cute little "Cape Cod" town in the background (or a "Cape Cod town replica " in San Pedro, CA that has recently been demolished but was cute back in the day -- ahh the magic of televison) My brother did a Skippy peanut butter commercial involving Skippy peanut butter being spread over a slice of bread that keeps getting longer and longer throughout the commercial. This was about 1989. He also did a Maruchan ramen commercial about 1989 or 1990, I think involving him and a little boy portraying his tv brother and they are playing with robot toys. Those are the ones that are lost to us or never showed in our region so we could record them.
The Abraham Lincoln one sounds like maybe he was burnt into the tv screen. I know old tvs were prone to doing that, so maybe someone was watching a Lincoln documentary and his face ended up burnt into the screen, looking like he was included in the pizza advertisement.
^the OP said they didnt even remember the name of the restaurant. They said they were looking forward to learning the name of the restaurant and wheter it references abaraham Lincoln when the commercial gets found.
Omg thanks for mentioning Kenya dance!!! I’m hoping we can find this despite the few seconds available. Also just to note: people have been asking filthyfrank about the song but nobody involved in the video remembers where it came from. And the song is most likely Ugandan even though it’s in the Kenya part.
Ive got a lost media. Ive tried looking online a few times but Ive never done a deep dive. Canada has lots of lost media, so I honestly expected to come across it eventually. Its a claymation set in a bakery, with a baker and a young boy. I saw it when I was young so around 95-2000 sounds about right. I dont think it had any big plot or anything crazy, it was just a simple little story where the baker was teaching the boy to bake. Iirc, he was making bread and mixing the ingredients in the air to have some fun with clay. I am sure this wasnt a reoccurring show or else it would have been something I would see often, Id have to guess it was something only shown in Ontario a limited amount of times. I watched gumby as a kid so I made sure it wasnt that first as there is an episode about baking pies in a factory.
I used to have a vhs tape of Wallace and Gromit recorded from an airing on YTV in the early 2000s. I vividly recall an ad that featured the Sailor Scouts saying their names followed by Ash Ketchum saying "Sailor Ash!" but I can't find it online. I've thought about making a post on the LMW forums but I'm unsure if this is something anyone but me would be interested in LOL
In my VERY brief stint in working in game production in the early 1990s, I was involved with two games and one piece of gaming-related hardware that never got released (nothing I've ever seen on a Lost Media video though). I know the hardware prototype was featured in some magazine at one point. Anyway, they never got finished because the company dissolved.
i saw something ismiliar to the hamster wheel, very recently. it is used as a background video for a 70-80's music italian channel. my mom said it was a very old contest where people had to complete some challenges while naked. there were alot of these shows with naked people. thats all i can say right now
that Soul DS game feels like something straight out of a creepypasta. weird old bootleg that no one knows about, the blank thumbnail, janky controls and odd design choices, the poorly drawn character creator, it feels so authentic to old creepy stories you'd see as a child. i hope the rom of it gets dumped soon, i'd really like to see it in action and maybe figure out who the devs were. it's so eerie and weird and i really dig it!!
If you believed for a second that trash was real, I have a bridge to sell you as well as several igloos in the South Pole. The "character creator" should of been the deadest of giveaways, its literally the authors DeviantArt submission or some shit, even bootleg placeholder art isn't that dogshit.

Total Drama Island avatar creator looks like that one Total Drama Island online game where you create your own avatar and walk around the island playing mini games and meeting the characters from the first season similar to the Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends online game that did basically the same thing.
I was going to post a comment annoyed how often people seem to lose things so they can't prove their lost media existed, but I've had cases where games completely disappeared, though they were probably stolen like the time my copy of Pokemon Red mysteriously appeared behind my brother's dresser. Still no idea where my copy of Super Mario World for GBA or our copy of StarFox 64 went, though.
Ayo gonna add my own lost media here... In 2019 or 2020, I remember seeing an Undertale ad in Japanese on RUclips. It was around 2 minutes long and had a young woman narrating over it. I think it went over some characters and areas in the game from what remember. I don't know if it was related to what I was watching. What's weird about this is that I live in the UK and since going to different places for me changes the ad for the country (most of the time). I did some quick research but it only shows up with common Undertale ads like the switch and pc. I post this on Reddit but it only got 5 upvotes so if anyone can help me or something that it will be greatly appreciate. :)
@boiled_French_fry back then I didn't have much interest in japan so it's kinda weird if I just stumbled onto a random video that I can barely understand
I love lost media relating to the DS. The Soul Caliber bootleg almost DOES sound like an ARG but I hope it really is just some badly made bootleg that's floating around there somewhere. I would love to see a lost DS game restored even if it's a fake.

I usually don’t have anything to contribute to lost media but I do remember Woogie World. There was a little newsletter that got passed out at my school library and I remember it advertising the game, it may or may not have been like a newsletter specifically for the game, the memories are a little fuzzy cause it was a long time ago. I have some weird memories about either the game or the newsletter talking about dogfighting being bad, because at the time there was a lot of media coverage about an athlete getting in trouble for participating in it, but I have absolutely no way to prove that since it was so long ago. I just remember the nerves I felt as a kid reading about that topic on a paper I got at school.
Ok so I have an actual lost media case here, so let me tell you. Does anyone remember the 12 minutely object show? It was a webseires based off of BFDI and TDOS. There were 8 contestants and the only confirmed footage of the show to have ever existed is the intro (which is on my channel) The show was made somewhere between January to February and the episodes were either privated or deleted in April or may. The creator has said that they won’t bring back the episodes :( so the only chances at finding it are low. There is some more info in the comments of the intro video but anyways that’s it. Also the woman at 48:47 looks like something from a book like the “The woman who ate a (insert thing here)” series.
27:30 I genuinely believe that the image this user speaks of could be a close up of Emperor Palpatine using force lightning. Its possible hos brain embellished some of his features a bit. I searched "Palpatine blue hue" on google and one of the first images was of palpatine looking slightly to the right (his left) with his eyes milky white and bathed in a blue light possibly from his force lightning. The video I am unsure of but I believe its worth looking into the image?
I love your ability to make sentences redundant. "An Australian based store, Target Australia" "A commentor in the comment section" (No hate, I'm just teasing)
I think the seashore and the rooftop anime shorts are from 'Blue Seed Omake'. The seashore short is from Episode 10, and the rooftop short is from Episode 2. The episodes are available online.
Wait wait wait I’ve seen Jerma Vlog - “What do you wanna see?“. It’s just an old video where he’s asking what his subscribers (like all 50 at the time) want to see in his videos. There’s a Jerma archive RUclips account out there with some of his old vlogs and early TF2 streams, I will see if I can find it
Update: I think the agents on the roof saying something was the funniest thing in the world may have been from an anime called "Blue Seed", but not necessarily from the anime itself, but rather as an extra short on the end of the VHS tape.
37:48 The text on that screenshot is obviously fake for 2012. Maybe if you had a Retina Macbook your text would look that nice, but you can see that they are running Windows. Snapshots from 2011 and 2013 for the site just show it was offline even back then. The final nail in the coffin is that the URL is just the front page for the site, while the actual page itself is an article. If you were reading an article in the G-Mod section the URL should reflect that.
I love the way to style your videos and the topics you cover. Stuff like the Gremlins game and the SpongeBob PSP commercial I haven't even heard of before. Thanks for showing these thing to me and keep up the good work
HAHAHA for real lmao the hamster one 😭😭 that almost sounds like a Jimmy Neutron scene. The fact that it like keeps going and then vanishes even though they're so certain what channel it was on. Just silly creepypasta shit
@@Arceus5555yeah the only way that can be real is if it was a weird channel glitch or something but even then why the hell would a channel be showing that?
@@micjimster4845my thought was that it was a creepy ass channel bumper, like the stuff you see on adult swim. I know it sounds too long for that, but everything kinda feels longer as a kid, so they might just be misrembering how long it really was.
So about that Caillou Charlie thing... I was in the lost media sort of rabbit hole months or so ago. I swear I saw a part of an episode of the Charlie thing. It was clearly labeled as either an alternate version or a pilot episode. I thought it was odd but I didn't really think much of it. Now to see this is breathtaking. I do not know it I found it on RUclips or somewhere else. I can not find it again. I don't see it in my browser history and even if I could find it, it is likely that the video title isn't even in English to begin with. If I ever find it and remember this video, I'll be sure to update, but I don't think I'll possibly find it again. And before I get some responses about what I said about the title and labeling, it was either the description or the video itself that labeled it as a pilot or alternate version and not the video title. I do not remember what the title of the video actually was.
Watched this video 7 months in the future and figured I'd make a list of everything that's been found as of now/decent sized updates! UPDATE LIST: -SpongeBob psp commercial: FOUND -filthy frank Kenya song: FOUND, is actually named Katonda Alinawe -Soul Calibur bootleg cartoon: PROVEN HOAX -lost seashore anime film: FOUND, is actually episode 10 of a series named Blue Seed Omake and the agent film was episode 2 from the same series Feel free to comment on this if any other of these items get found!
The Lincoln pizza ad probably was not a Lincoln-themed restaurant. It was probably an ad for a President's Day or Lincoln's birthday sale. All over the US, local commercials feature a talking Lincoln head penny or other Lincoln images, as if to say that Lincoln himself would approve of this sale. Since he's on the penny, his image is often associated with the idea of saving money, so businesses love to do President's Day or Lincoln's Birthday sales that feature Lincoln, with or without the actual penny. It's also common to use Lincoln to advertise ads for sales during the weeks of other patriotic holidays or events (Independence Day, Labor Day, election days, even Memorial Day), so much that at almost any time during the year, you can see Lincoln-themed ads that relate a sale to some sort of patriotic event.
Okay, I know it's been like half a year since this was uploaded, but thank you SO SO MUCH for the hamster wheel section. This is NOT fake. I remember seeing it and another looping short that has been my personal piece of lost media which I even made a mock-up image of this which I am about to explain. It was on Nicktoons Network in the mid-late 2000's. After the Nicktoons Film Festival, there was a looping animation in the Nicktoons aesthetic (y' know, the brown paper and ink and such) where a giant squid/octopus (I don't know as the actual monster was never shown) was in a body of water with it's tentacles out the water grabbing birds and crushing them and eating them on loop. It was NOT a dream as I showed the mock-up drawing to my sister and dad and they both recognized it from Nicktoons Network. I have come to the (rather uneducated) conclusion that these two were placeholders whenever there was a broadcasting error. I can attempt to post this mock-up in the comment section but I don't know if links are filtered. I have the explanation down, I just need an image or recording of this. PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO, I BEG OF YOU TO REPLY! THIS IS NOT A TROLL OR BAIT I SWEAR ON MY MOTHER'S SOUL!
Regarding the Charlie version of Caillou, I think maybe it was a foreign dub? In the Polish version for example, Caillou was renamed to Kajtek. Perhaps some other nation renamed him Charlie?
Funny thing about the Abe Lincoln pizza thing is Pizza Hut did use Lincoln in a Super Bowl ad in 2019 about their 5 dollar line up. So an ad with pizza and Lincoln is real, just not what they were talking about.
the glasses woman looks so familiar! she reminds me of a lot of different things but not one thing in particular. Mrs Bitters from invader zim, Roz from Monsters Inc, Ms Frizzle, etc. I think she’s probably from some kind of Halloween children’s book and she looks like she could be a teacher character
I'm 100% positive the gmod iOS is fake as I can't see the source engine being able to run on consumer phones/tablets in 2012. Someone could probably do it on modern devices here in 2023, but back in 2012? No way. Hell the first official "mobile" port of HL2 came out in 2014 for the NVIDIA Shield. That was on android and was specifically made for the NVIDIA Shield. Also from what I've been able to find, the ADCnews website shown isn't real with the actual website looking nothing like this, even in the 2004-2012 time range. I also couldn't find anything mentioning an iOS version of gmod in the 2012 time range. Not to mention, the pictures, especially the one with the hand, look really fake to me because of the perspective of the image on screen, specifically the new UI elements they added. The perspective even looks off on the image with the article. The images are quite compressed though. Other issues with this include: why would facepunch even want to port gmod to ios? How would something like the steam workshop, one of it's main selling points and where 99% of it's content comes from, work on ios? And, this one's a biggie, how can you port an engine and game to another platform if you don't have it's source code? The source engine isn't something like unity where it's made to be easy to port to and run on other platforms. Facepunch probably wouldn't have even had the resources to port gmod to other platforms and I truthfully think that gmod wasn't/isn't big enough of a game for another company to want to port it to another platform. I can confidently say that you are being bamboozled, tricked even! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in seeing a mobile port of gmod though.
The one at 2:31 is something straight out of a creepypasta. User buys a bootleg game, weird creepy images flashing up, strange music, technical issues, game "kills itself" shortly after playing it. All it's missing is random gore lmao. I'm leaning towards it being fake. It's too on the nose for standard creepypasta stories for it to be real imho. I'm hoping it's NOT an ARG or fake, because I love the idea someone out there is making bootleg creepypasta-esque games, because not many people are actually going to believe it outright

48:04 She does look familiar! If she's from anything, my guess would probably be a book of some kind, though I have no idea. Also, there's a video I've been hoping to see again for a while now. It was a claymation video I saw here on RUclips, sometime around 2010, I'd say. I think it was called "The Problem" or something along those lines. It was a part of a series someone made using very simple humanoid-shaped clay figures (possibly made of Play-Doh). They had no features, just a basic shape. I'm not entirely sure about the series of events, but there was some kind of parasite or some weird infection that would cause the clay figures to fall apart. I think it left some weird white/grey thing behind (if it was a parasite, this was it, and it may have taken a humanoid shape after killing someone?). At the end, I believe some other people came in (two, I think. They may have been the police) who ended up dying as well. I think the set was dimly lit, and may have just been the floor neat a bed, or something. It's been over 10 years since I've seen this thing. I'm also pretty sure someone in the animation said, "Welp, that's a problem" or something similar. I did see a short similar to this many years later where an infection was spread just by the figures touching eachother. This isn't the one.
47:55 I have a feeling that this character may be from the book “the library dragon.” When you look up “Contest” a lady with a big bun, cat winged glasses, and an outfit similar to the drawing pops up. I may be wrong, but just a hunch.
Assuming “Hamster Wheel Video” wasn’t a troll, it was most likely a dream and over the years OP has convinced himself he actually saw it. That’s exactly what happened with “Evil Farming Game,” after years of OP being positive he had vivid memories of playing it he realized it had just been a dream influenced by an old VinesauceJoel livestream he’d fallen asleep to.
listen the whole spongebob thing is all well and good but WHY is the youtube video titled “ist spongebob schwul“?! (that means “is spongebob gay?” in german)
#1. Nickelodeon Hamster Wheel Short: This definitely sounds like a broadcast signal hijacking. Maybe the OP could give out the cable company they had at the time (or where they were living). #2. Bat wing lady: I think the bat wing lady has to be from a Halloween special. Try looking for a Halloween special on some network. Maybe also try looking at UPN or WB Halloween specials, as due to these networks shutting down in 2006, many of the specials they aired would have fallen into obscurity. #3. The scary PSA/PIF: I believe that this PSA/PIF may have been a drug awareness PSA. Interestingly enough, people remember seeing it in both the US and the UK, which seems a little odd but OK, that can happen. Maybe it was something that originated in the US and got licensed in the UK.

Abraham Lincoln is on the 5$ bill - it was likely a 5$ pizza deal they were running, explaining the floating Lincoln heads.

It was a Pizza Hut ad.

Edit - After a Google search, it started airing late September 2008 until mid December of the same year. The show is featured on the Lost Media Wiki too. 🙃
yes omfg nobody knows this show exists! ive actually written a post on the LMW forum about the show, and had gotten in contact with ross lee himself, although he never did end up uploading the episodes that he still has
YES! Finally some context! Thank ya!
Omg I loved the beastenders segment on this!
The Abraham Lincoln ad sounds like a Presidents Day promo for a pizza place, not necessarily the theme of the restaurant, just a seasonal ad campaign
I thought so too, or maybe a fourth of July deal
Or maybe a 5 dollar deal and because of Abraham being on the 5 dollar bill, they spread his face around to get the point across.
That wouldn't make sense, since I was there in September. It's probably the $5 deal theory.
The Soulcaliber one is confirmed fake. Sophia admitted she lied and made it up in another LMW thread where she was looking for another piece of lost media and it was brought up that she never confirmed if the Soul Caliber thing was real, to which she said she lied about it.
I too like to spread misinformation
Yeah that's exactly what they want us to think.
That bootleg is some day one creepypasta shit lmao

It's probably a misremembered thing since Charlie is a real name
No it's real, I also remember it distinctively, not kidding. I think it was on a Canadian channel if i remember it correctly.
memory is a really fickle thing and this guy seems so earnest that he really believes and remembers what he remembers. i dont think its bait, i think this dude is just having a weird brain thing that happens to many people. its why witeness testimony in like. literal criminal trials is really shaky sometimes and you cant go off that alone because peoples brains do really really strange things with memories and you can definetely make someone believe something happened that never did. i feel bad for the dude because its really hard to accept sometimes that whatever youre thinking of might not be real or true. and he doesnt want to back down now because then people will think he was lying or whatever and accuse him of making it all up when he really did remember it, it just wasnt real anyway.

I remember this! I have a feeling that it was part of another show. I want to say Monkey Dust but I know it wasn't that.
After looking this up, you're definitely not BS'ing, but wow, there is barely any talk of this at all.
@@valhalladante9859 I don't blame you for initially thinking I was making it up because it was such a weird show that it sounds like a dream. I had a lot of health issues growing up and that meant long periods off school and as my school wasn't good at sending me learning materials I often spent most of my time watching TV on the sofa.
Anyway, I've just joined the lost media wiki forums to try and get some more help and advice to find it.

I love Gadget! I remember seeing this listed in the Apple store at the time but I didn't buy it 😭
This is fascinating! I hope it turns up someday. Japanese collectors do their fair share or preservation but don't tend to share their collections sadly.

We've been graved with an hour long video on one of my favorite topics! This is a good channel. I am surprised it's not bigger
Pretty sure it’s going to be 60 pieces and there’ll be a second part
I might have an answer to the Filthy Frank one. When I was in 8th grade choir we sang a song called "African Noel". The song we sang sounded nothing like the song from the Filthy Frank video, but the lyrics were strikingly similar to the song I sang, including a baby being born and it taking place at Christmas. Funny enough, I cant find a single video on RUclips of the version I sang in 8th grade choir, and not only that but every single video of the African Noel song sounds completely different. It's possible that the song from Filthy Frank's video was one of the many many varations of this song.

Hey, it's Orlando, it's not far-off to think there would be something like that there!

Honestly that one annoys me because its so obviously just the OP misremembering and refusing to accept that fact
Nah, I rewatch all of Space Ghost Coast to Coast and The Brak Show yearly. It’s not in there.
I think I know who you are referring to, but I'm also not sure if she had a name.
Do you mean "groovy chick" ?
I also remember this weird fabric toy from preschool where there were fabric insects and other small animals inside of it. I think it was tied to an old kids book and for some reason this reminds me of it.
@@TheJacksonvillePublicShittercould it be "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly?" It was a children's book and also had a plush toy of the woman with animals inside of her.

The alien jumpscare sounds like it used a picture either modified from the "Your not perfect" bit in Courage, or some image of the old Eyeless Jack creepypasta.
Emperor Palpatine 😂

How cruel is the world that would deprive us of watching Jerma eat 24 eggs.
Soul calibur one was apparently confirmed fake
Not that I remember
That’s an intriguing topic
I need more details , was it 2D animaton? 3D? were the characters humans, anthro animals? about how long do you think it was?
Adding to the Garry's Mod iOS thing: I remember when I still had an iPad 3, someone leaked Portal 1 onto the App Store as well. The game was free to download from there. It had the same wonky layout as GMod, with the blue arrow buttons etc. It ran super laggy obviously. So you're not being goofed on by this Instagram person; I just think someone, somehow ported some of the valve games to the Apple Store for whatever reason.
I’m checking the wayback machine now to see if there’s anything interesting on the website it is still up today but idk if it has anything about the iOS Garry’s mod beta

(YES I HAVE BEEN SKIMMING THROUgH YOUTBE VIDEOS OF 90s COMMERCIALS ALREADY THANK YOU VERY MUCH)
My sister also was in a Chrysler/Plymouth commercial about the Town and Country minivan. She is riding in the van with her tv commercial mom and dad and sibling at the coast with a cute little "Cape Cod" town in the background (or a "Cape Cod town replica " in San Pedro, CA that has recently been demolished but was cute back in the day -- ahh the magic of televison)
My brother did a Skippy peanut butter commercial involving Skippy peanut butter being spread over a slice of bread that keeps getting longer and longer throughout the commercial. This was about 1989.
He also did a Maruchan ramen commercial about 1989 or 1990, I think involving him and a little boy portraying his tv brother and they are playing with robot toys.
Those are the ones that are lost to us or never showed in our region so we could record them.
22:00 my Dish Network station renamed "Hey Arnold" to "Oye Arnold" occasionally on the TV guide section but it was the same exact show
The Abraham Lincoln one sounds like maybe he was burnt into the tv screen. I know old tvs were prone to doing that, so maybe someone was watching a Lincoln documentary and his face ended up burnt into the screen, looking like he was included in the pizza advertisement.
So the person just imagined the pizza place having a name that references Lincoln? Come on.

Funny thing about the Abe Lincoln pizza thing is Pizza Hut did use Lincoln in a Super Bowl ad in 2019 about their 5 dollar line up. So an ad with pizza and Lincoln is real, just not what they were talking about.

Yeah
There is a source android port now and you can play games like portal anf hl2 but it wasn't here in 2012
I think the gmod iOS port is real it might be a bootleg port what I think is that someone somehow port gmod to iOS.
Also how would you make the GUI and the building system work?
The one at 2:31 is something straight out of a creepypasta. User buys a bootleg game, weird creepy images flashing up, strange music, technical issues, game "kills itself" shortly after playing it. All it's missing is random gore lmao. I'm leaning towards it being fake. It's too on the nose for standard creepypasta stories for it to be real imho.
I'm hoping it's NOT an ARG or fake, because I love the idea someone out there is making bootleg creepypasta-esque games, because not many people are actually going to believe it outright
Theres another unknown song from africa apart from kenya dance that is called "swahili dance"
That wooden woman looks like the art on a lot of those goofy grandma hallmark card things lol.
I just want to say that i'm currently in hard time. Maybe bottom of my my life but thanks for your contents it help me keep myself stand up and continue. i hope you doing well and will achieve huge success in near future
Hey, I hope you're doing alright. Keep on pushing on
Don't worry buddy, keep persevering and keep good spirits, just like lost media happiness will eventually be found
Yeah that's a lot of us
1:00
So are we just gonna ignore SpongeBob and Patrick making out
48:04 She does look familiar!
Were the figures blue? If so it was most likely made by Knox.
Is it Klay World: Disease? It's probably one of the Klay World videos.
@@TwixtheFox No, but it does remind me of it. The video I'm looking for only had about 4-5 characters in it, I think.
47:55 I have a feeling that this character may be from the book “the library dragon.” When you look up “Contest” a lady with a big bun, cat winged glasses, and an outfit similar to the drawing pops up. I may be wrong, but just a hunch.
This feels likely, especially if it's kind of a mixture of her and the dragon
The Gibby Pilot got found today I believe!!! not related to this lost media category but a great win for the LMC !
Because in the video, there's a picture of SpongeBob and Patrick kissing, with a little love heart between them.
@@michaeljfan9720 cool cool thanks lol
i love your work on uncovering this stuff even if its already been done or your just going over other peoples its great!
the hamster wheel _very_ much feels like a nightmare a kid would have.
NEW FIRE CONTENT? HELL YES. Keep it up.
