Little back story.
Hanzo and Genji were part of a clan that was bad and they don't like robots thats why Hanzo shoots the robot but not the humans. Genji never wanted to apart of the bad behavior of the clan. When Hanzo "kills" Genji to remain in power. Mercy another character from Overwatch gave Genji life again but he had to rebuild his body as half robot. So when Hanzo sees Genji and asks what he became, its because Hanzo is against robots. When Genji said he has to pick a side me means to pick between good and bad.
I may be 2 years late, but this was the best reaction to my favorite Overwatch short. :)

For the few people who have not played overwatch hanzo "killed" his brother and genji ended up being saved by mercy but he lost his left arm and both legs then his right arm failed and had to be replaced so he is now around 80 to 90% robotic. No hanzo will fight along side genji but if hanzo ults while on the other team and genji defects it genji will say one of 2 thing one *catch brother or not today hanzo* just thought you guys should know

okay, in basics . hanzo is genjis older brother, they're the shimadas. Genji was very much a playboy and hanzo was to be the leader of the clan , the elders asked hanzo to deal with Genji which resulted hanzo murdering Genji . mercy found Genji and basically fixed him Robocop style. once fixed Genji went on a quest to find himself , he met zenyatta (monk) who taught him how to cope with himself and be at peace. he later joined blackwatch and was basically a hero behind the scenes . hanzo after killing Genji didn't want to be the leader of shimada anymore and went in his own path . But he resents killing Genji all the time .
Long story short:
Hanzo and Genji are brothers. Both from the "yakuza/ninja-like" Shimada Clan. But, Genji, being the younger of them was being unresponsable about the duties of his clan. And then, Hanzo fought him, believing had killed his own brother and living in regret since then. Genji's body was recovered by Dr. Angela Ziegler (Aka.: Mercy) and changed into a cyborg/green-ninja-hitech-dude. And then, this short happens.

Lemme explain the lore behind the dragons cinematic: so genji lived a very different live than his brother when they were young: hanzo only trained and genji lived a playboy live (he spent all day in arcade halls) although genji loved his ninja training he wasn't very interested in the business of the shimada clan (they were a drug dealer clan) then the elders wanted genj to be abandoned or killed. But his father always protected him till he died. Then the clan's elders told hanzo to kill genji which he actually almost did. Hanzo almost killed genji but thought he had killed him. genji was found barely living by mercy aka Dr. Angela Ziegler and was revived and healed when he agrees to smash the shimada clan and his business. After that was complete he started to hate his robotic body and left overwatch to wander through the world till he met the omnic monk zenyatta. Zenyatta invited him to come to the shambali temple in Nepal so he could help genji finding peace with his body. At first genji declined but zenyatta didn't gave up till genji has made peace with his body. After that genji went to hanzo after zenyatta told him hanzo and you must reunite and forgive each other. Basically that's the story behind the cinematic
Little edit: hanzo was a a very good fighter with the sword (he was way better than genji) in their fight they both fought with the sword. (hanzo now uses a bow because he sweared he will never use a sword again in his life because he almost killed his brother with a sword. The swords where hanzo kneels in front of are his)

3 things. one: there names are hanzo (the bow man) and genji (the ninja cyborg) two: hanzo is totally hot. XD three: the story is that hanzo and genji were the last of there clan and hanzo killed genji because he turned good. genji lives as a cyborg now because if his body was not replaced by cybornetic parts, he wouldnt be able to live. you could search up what hanzo and genji looked like when they were younger and you could see what genji looked like too. its kinda hard to understand if you have no idea who the characters are.
