    No one has ever held Ryan accountable for his drug use and actions. Larry, Jen, and Mack overlooked a lot and then allowed him back into their lives without ever holding him accountable for anything. Mack getting a divorce is a big step in the right direction for her and him. That is a consequence hopefully he learns from. Jen and Larry need to stand up to him and tell him he is not allowed back in their lives until he proves himself to staying clean and sober for at least 2-3 years. If they don't all stick to it there will be serious consequences for him or someone else. His drug use has nothing to do with Maci. Period. She was the only one that EVER tried to hold him accountable.

    One of the sad things about carrying narcan around and having to administer it (especially to a loved one) is that you can literally save that persons life it’s because of you that they’re still breathing, but instead of a thank you when they come to they’re angry at you and just get up and leave to go get high again because the narcan forces them into severe withdrawal so you save this persons life and go on that rollercoaster of fear and panic just for them to be MAD like genuinely upset at you for giving them the thing that was going to keep them alive another day. It’s such a devastating experience to save someone’s life and instead of a thank you I’m so sorry you had to experience that you get confronted with an angry and ungrateful person who’s more upset about the fact that you have them a shot than they are about the fact that if you hadn’t they’d likely be dead. It’s crazy to witness someone come out of an overdose and almost dying act so crazy and upset that someone saved them it’s so backwards but addiction doesn’t play by the rules of logic

  • @tiffanystrickland940
    @tiffanystrickland940 Год назад +21

    I think Ryan has a lot of trauma with his own father from younger years. Like never felt enough or something. Even during Maci's pregnancy and once Bentley was born, he was very privileged and loved, but enabled and not taught to handle certain things because they would let him slide all the time, except his dad sometimes. So once he got older and shit got real hard, he started to party and he loved the way it made his problems go away and he kept doing it until it was out of control. It's not Maci's fault or Mackenzie's. It's his own for not recognizing he had a problem getting worse and getting mental health help. I feel addiction is all in a way about the person's mental health. That's just my opinion. It's heartbreaking knowing his kids are going to grow up seeing all this. Narcan does save your life but the addict flips out when it's given to them and they wake up because it completely wipes your brain clean from the opioids and will go straight into withdrawal. I had a friend in rehab and that's what he told me... They said it instantly wipes the opioids off the brain and they don't like it. But it will save the person if given in time.

I have mental illnesses that require psychiatric treatment and therapy, and substance abuse disorder therapy is integrated because I’ve been proactive in my recovery since day one. Triggers are- people, places and things. So Macy and Ryan having a toxic relationship and whatever feelings he’s harboring towards her, that’s how she could be a trigger. You can get narcan at any pharmacy without a prescription and the shot he may end up getting in the treatment facility would be sublocade.

    Even when he claimed he was sober he seemed on drugs.. I hope he gets help but when you are putting others at risk because of drugs or Alcohol and getting behind the wheel of a car, you should go directly to jail and not get a chance to get out unless you go directly to treatment.

    Sadly, no matter what, he won’t get clean until he WANTS TO. When I was an active user/addict and had 3 overdoses (2 of them made my heart stop to where I have lifelong problems now!!), I can finally say as of January 10th 2023, I have 20YRS CLEAN!!!! It was not easy and still isn’t easy. But I fight the DISEASE of ADDICTION daily, so that I can live a MUCH BETTER LIFE than I ever could as an active addict!!!!…Active addict vs. recovering addict. I pray for Ryan, his kids and loved ones, that he gets clean and stays clean 🙏🙏 It won’t be easy, but it’s soo worth it!!! Btw, I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Narcan (and other life saving measures). Some of my OD’s, where my heart stopped, Narcan couldn’t fully help. I needed more drastic measures to be taken. Yet, still with my first OD, after Narcan and everything else they had to do, I was in a coma and on a ventilator for days!!!!
    Sorry this was so long. That’s still not even close to telling y’all how bad things got and all of the invasive measures that had to be taken and the OUTRIGHT HORRIBLE consequences that I faced, and 22yrs later, that I still have to deal with, and will deal with for the rest of my life!!!!! I’m talking consequences that I’ve had to deal with physically, mentally and emotionally. One of them being that I’ve been bedridden for 22yrs due to my first OD!!!!!! IT COMPLETELY F’D MY BODY UP BADDD!!!!!! 😭

    Nowadays, I think that almost every family is dealing with a family member that has let drugs rule and ruin their life. People feel like if they don't enable the addict, that the addict will die. It's a damned mess, the loving family members end up getting brought down with the addict. Unless... you have had enough, and just cut them out of your life, your going on that hell ride with them.

    Sorry for the unwarranted lesson lol EDIT : fentanyl comes in all different colours because the dealers cut it or colour it themselves. I’ve had red, pink, grey, orange, blue, purple, green, yellow and white etc. Also, meth is white/frosted looking glass shards and crack is either white powder or white balls of hard powder. So he definitely had fentanyl on him as well as crack or meth depending on what pipe they found.
    As an ex addict I can tell he’s on way more than just heroin or fentanyl. The glass pipes are only used for meth and crack. The crack pipes are glass tubes and meth pipes have the ball on the end lol 😂 so glad I’m not in that lifestyle anymore. I got pregnant and decided to grow up and change my life not only for my kids but for myself. It’s so sad that even his own kids couldn’t make him change. If your kids don’t make you change then nothing will. And it’s so sad because those kids deserve a good father :(
