My Sons Father and I divorced 45 years ago. Our Son was 2. My X could call anytime for a visit or overnight. He was an equal as a parent. Once our Son learned to use the phone, he would call or Dad would call him. Next thing I knew, was Dad knocking on the door and my Son looking at me and said “oh yeah, my Dads coming.” My Son was free to move between both homes. Dad always made sure our Son was prepared and where he needed to be before school. We were always on the same page about his raising. We all share family events together. We decided very early on, that neither of us would ever want to be excluded. Much respect.
You pick the right man to have a child with, and even when the relationship doesn't work out, your child still has great parents.
I love hearing stories like this. It always amazes me when I see two parents with only their kid's best interests in mind. Setting aside their hurt feelings and focusing on what matters rather than petty grievances to get back at eachother. My parents divorced when I was still an infant and it was not at all amicable. What followed for the next 18 years was my parents playing tug-of-war with me. I can't begin to tell you the effect being the messenger between 2 angry adults had on my life up until now. People don't realize how their actions can profoundly effect their kids, for life. I have a hard time telling people "no" or setting boundaries. This people pleasing had led to being a doormat for men to take advantage of in almost all my romantic relationships. The mere thought of getting married and having children is so terrifying to me that it's never been close to being an option.
Wow. Sorry for that rant. Thank you for being a good parent to your kid.
As the child of divorce who was not able to have a relationship with my father until I was almost 30 due to my mother’s manipulation and interference, I have to say a heartfelt THANK YOU for what you and your ex did for your child. I can’t begin to tell you how much I would have valued that kind of co parenting so much rather than what I experienced. I hope your son appreciates how much his parents obviously love him to have been so willing to work together. It is scary how many people hate their ex more than they love their child. Thank you for making YOUR child the most important factor…not always easy I’m sure, but you clearly did an amazing job!
@@soft_serve_666 5f
That’s how it was for my ex husband and I. The kids was the priority!
It’s Debbie Davis!! She’s the attorney that busted that dude in that viral video court zoom for being at the same house as the victim 🤣🤣 you’re a legend Debbie!!
That’s one of the very first videos I saw that has sent me down the rabbit hole of court proceedings! That was insane!! ❤
She’s a legend!
What video is that?
Oh man, thats her??? She was awesome!
Didn’t know that was her!!!! Loved that video
I want this judge to do an audiobook to help me sleep. He has me so mellow I’m not even that mad at my ex right now. 😂
I just love his demeanor
lol
Yeah so calming
@@lisaward60I find it too calming. I keep zoning out. 😊
This judge is really good at talking without moving his mouth.
I went to comments to see if I was the only one who can't see the judge's mouth moving!😂
I bet his side hustle is ventriloquist 😅
The way she smirks the whole time she talks about not seeing her son seems very psychotic.
That's not what the word psychotic means and misusing the word psychotic harms people who have psychotic disorders, like schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, brief psychotic disorder, postpartum psychosis, or who otherwise experience psychosis or take anti-psychotics.
Happy Disability Pride Month.
@@thirdprince4028 I am not misusing the word. Smirking and smiling like that while saying what she was saying appeared that she was not in the same reality we are. She was saying something that was sad and upsetting but smiling and smirking. So in my opinion she appeared as if she was psychotic. I have a son that has schizophrenia and when he has his episodes he does the same thing. So please don’t speak to me in such a condescending way when you really had no idea what I meant by that. You interpreted it incorrectly.
I agree, her facial expressions, voice and words are all saying different things, it’s very odd. I read that as disguised anger, there certainly something off.
@@nicoleaustin5563 No, you're still using it incorrectly. Nothing about her behavior indicates psychosis. I would know, being someone with schizoaffective disorder and someone who takes the misuse of the word psychotic as a derogatory word pretty seriously because it directly negatively impacts my life and the life of people like me.
@Nicole Austin
Right? Very scary to see her smiling while saying her child is not in danger! If the mother only has 2 hr. supervised visits every other weekend it makes me wonder what’s going on with her.
-After 8 years she still hasn't earned the access to unsupervised visits
-Allegedly Major concerns by the supervisor about her conduct during those visits
-Victim advocate involved
-Lying to the court multiple times (in a way that is easily checked)
-Complaining about time changes that she could have fixed
-Failing to properly communicate
-Asking for unsupervised visit in another state when she currently only have supervised visits
-Allegedly skirting orders with grandma and calling incessantly
-Baseless accusations of coaching and wanting unsupervised access (likely to coach him herself)
She is painting a bad picture against her, and her own actions are the paintbrush.
I'm happy that their son has one parent who seems down to earth and reasonable.
She's likely going to be in for a rude awakening in a few years when the court starts deciding that the child is old enough to provide input into some of the courts decisions and puts more weight onto the child's own words.
👍
One thing about quiet, mild mannered judges... they listen and observe better than anyone. No way he's missing the signs.
@@andrewjvaughan my father allways said : be awear of the silent guy , he will read you like a open book, if you press a issue, he will tell you everything you don’t want to know about yourself, found that to be true 80 % not like a argument you forget in 10 min, but you really revaluate your life...
All amazing points! This case has me sick. I have 8 year old twins and I cannot fathom not doing everything within my power to be with them. It seems like all of this “court stuff” takes up too much of her precious “me” time.
I’d never put myself in this position but if for some absolutely insane reason I ended up here I would be answering every call, email, letter, telegram, and carrier pigeon message as soon as it hit my eyes and I’d do whatever was asked of me. She needs to grow up or just leave her child & his dad alone. In a few short years, her son will have his own say as to whether or not he meets with his mother at all!!! So sad!! 💔
👏 👏 👏 YES! Thank you for this. I helped my brother get custody of his twins, because their mother was a similar 😈.
I really hate people that use their kids, or the courts for this trash. 😒
If she's doing things that are concerning during supervised visits, imagine how concerning her behaviour would be if allowed to visit unsupervised!
This is so sad. My parents divorced after 17yrs in 1978. Up until my dad pasted away 2011, neither parent EVER said anything bad abt the other. They admitted they had their problems but never drew us kids into. They stood together to raise us. All 3 of us kids had a mother and father. We were the lucky ones.❤
Oh man. I’m a former cps/foster care worker from Michigan…and this woman is 100^ using custody motions as means of control over her ex… and her poor son is suffering from it.
cps stole my newborn on a "co-sleeping" concern only to return my son 3 months later as "child taken im error". 3 months bc the state kept asking for more time for discovery and it was during the holidays. Even though it was a mistake on CPS, I still had to pay the state 3 months of child support. The system is broken and tried to traffic my son.
This woman is bat sh!t crazy. The fact that she says "whenever he asks me about the court case I just tell him he's too young" NO KID ASKS YOU ABOUT YOUR COURT CASE UNLESS YOU ARE TALKING TO THEM ABOUT IT. My kids never knew a doggone thing about what was going on EVER. I didn't date a other man until they were almost adults and their needs always came first. This woman is petty as can be.
Cps is just one of those hard type it of situations. Damned if you do damned if you don't. Ive seen a few court cases where cps agents wernt on time, this one case where the case worker was shut out of the house on a supervised visit where the mother went missing and the youngest child was a witness based off what he told the caseworker and investigation team during his Interview or perhaps it was the school teacher. They have instances where they are notifications from family and friends with grudges which they can report unanimously, there's the parents who wernt reported who eventually the kids died from their abuse and bodies hidden, there were kid removed for no apparent reasons that the parent or care giver knows. In the news this week I've seen a mother who left her baby in the tub seat to read a book to her other child, called 911 gave her sister's name and got arrested aswell as a mother and father who clearly have a drug problem left their child in a cage a playpen with zip ties and a gate ontop ,mother saying she has some illness and a bug was going thru the home, so dirty that the kid died from lack of care. There was a case where a mother of two children was scared to death of her ex husband. She told her friends and family he is going to kill her. Do you know that she fled from their country to Sydney to be safe and did you know that he (even though he had a prior record of something) he was able to have CPS order her back to the country and he kept calling he kept violating the orders In place. Do u know what happened? He murdered her. I can't imagine having to live knowing that if you did something she would have been alive. It's a tough job breaking up families but sometimes for the sake of the child it needs to be done.
@@YahuahsChosen my daughter was taken for 6 months from a co sleeping accident.... I went through emotional hell.... Thankfully my daughter was so young she didn't remember.. How ever she's showing signs of abandonment issues. So I'm pretty sure it's effected her. Unbeknownst to her.
Fuck cps and fuck you if you worked for them. Such a broken system, you take kids from good parents and ignore the kids they actually need help! Nothing more than child traffickers
You find this type of thing in family courts all across the country where one parent is trying to raise their child and co-parent while the other parent is only trying to fight and doesn’t seem to care about what’s in the child’s best interest.
I’m in this situation now. 😥
@@avathemis9878 if I could offer some advice I would say “keep doing what’s best for your child”. I know that’s not a new idea but even the best parents can get a little/lot tired of constantly losing to someone who we know isn’t doing what’s best for their child.
@@avathemis9878 sorry you're going through this. This is a racket, and the children usually never win.
Holy cow - she must be a compulsive liar. She lied about so many things they could prove she was lying!! And she kept it going. She only gets 2 hours of supervised visits at a time and she wants to fly him to New Mexico!! Wow. Can't imagine what she is like when she isn't in court - what a horror to deal with. She is toxic - sending people to the kids school, talk about the case, harrass him - I 100% believe she did this.
I’m so glad that this kid’s dad is involved and looking out for his best interest.
Everyone needs one sane parent, at least! 😅
I would definitely be afraid that she was not going to bring my child home. Being in another state that would be a big fight to get him back
The judge is NOT about to let the kid leave the state with her. Supervised visits are required of hed.
She doesn’t want to be a mother for real or she would have done everything she could to get her child back without supervision. She wanted to parade the kid around as if she’s a good mother on the trip . It was more about not wanting dirty looks and questioning for still not having her kid.
It doesn't matter how hard he tries to be reasonable, she'll make sure nothing works.
I think Karen is living her own Legally Blonde moment, if you ask her. Lol
Carol up there is having a great conversation. I hope she's called up her bestie to spill the tea on this great case.
For real! Carol with her fly nails 💅 and her gossip is all of us.
I was laughing at this 🤣🤣🤣
It’s kind of hilarious that the problem mother in this case is named Karen. 😂
Definitely would change my name.
@@pigpink1971 I think the name matches her personality.
If the shoe fits wear it.
"But there's good things in the report, too."
That's like the murderer saying "Yeah, I stabbed the guy 37 times, but it should be noted how well I washed my hands after."
Yes😂
Lol 😆
I ask the court to recognise the excellent work I did removing my fingerprints from the crime scene
I NEVER spoke one negative word about my childrens mother to them or in front of them. I always said "this is your mom, she loves you and you love her. And our divorce had nothing to do with you".
I love that the Ex husband, is staying silent, and letting this Karen dig her own grave, by not interrupting her lmao 😂
I’m impressed that he doesn’t immediately answer questions directed to him, he lets his lawyer answer most everything.
He’s getting his monies worth!
He knows what kind of a nut he’s dealing with and seems in control of himself unlike his ex who could probably laugh at how she can cry on command. Psychotic 😮
He’s silent bc he has his attorney there speaking for him. She doesn’t have an attorney, so she has to be the one speaking.
I love that her actual name is Karen. Parents saw the future.
WOW 😳 this woman is 50 shades of Amber Heard 😂
😂😂😂 snort
Hahaha funny
What a great way for her to prove that she’s an unfit mother without even involving the kids lmao
I love watching this mellow judge. He handles their garbage with such grace.
She is SO used to being able to manipulate people into giving her what she wants, she finally found someone who she can’t control and doesn’t know what to do with herself!!!
This Judge has the calmest temperament.. hearing him say, “What’s false is what you told me,” was hilarious!😂😂😂
The most comical part of this entire case is that this delusional woman GENUINELY believed that she was going to represent herself… and have everything go her way!! She wanted to play attorney and she lost!😂😂😂
Yeah totally. Major MH issues around control, imposed thinking, fantastical thinking, and clearly behavioural issues. THE ONLY way to overcome a situation like this is consistent compliance and cooperative behaviours one would think!
She's not used to being told no, and is very much a "do as I say, not as I do" person
I think she’s also a pathological liar and they usually get away with it quite often. Some can’t believe that others lie so quickly and about things that can be proven wrong if they’re checked into but they do, they gamble and have no shame when they’re caught.
I'm only 26 minutes in but that judge is the most super chill guy I've ever seen.
I was a daycare provider for 18 yrs. I went through this with one of my clients parent and grandparent showing up at the school with a phone . It’s a mirror case . It was awful on the child .
I love the judge's demeanor. I'd love to be that relaxed.
A child should never have a job, especially playing mediator between parents, or mom's spy!!!
I think the reason for the separation and his custody might be due to abusive behavior on her part. The clue is "Emily Victim Advocate" being present during the hearing.
👍
I 👍
And look at Emily’s face through the whole thing. It tells you everything you need to know.
@@ADKEMT her name actually isn't Emily. For some reason all the victim's advocates in this court have that. Maybe a protection/confidentiality thing? I have seen it a few times.
@@daphneorebaugh4015 so “Emily” is working on behalf of the child?
I've watched this one 4 times now. I just keep hearing Debbie say "she's got 16 pieces of EVIDENCE, Mike!" So I have to watch it again! 🤣🤣🤣
😂
Omg my parents put us through this crazy crap for YEARS it was so traumatic!!!
The tone of this judge's voice is so chill that it reminds me of how you talk when you're trying to not wake up a sleeping baby. 😂
Honestly never expect the sentence "the sheep knocked over my machiotto" to ever be spoken in my life time. Scratching it off the bucket list.

Glad to oblige! Speaking of which…time to go grab a Carmel macchiato from Steph’s Flour Shop. They only have a “pop up” shop every once in a while, so I need to take advantage when I can!
I really am enjoying watching these videos. My parents had an 8 year custody battle and it was so toxic and stressful for us kids. These are so fascinating to me.
I wish Judge Ten Eyck could make a million dollars as a sleep therapist by reading War and Peace to patients
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! Karen said the word "supervisor" THAT COUNTS! 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm dying!!!!
How bad does it have to be for a court to give a mother only 2 hours visitation..geez have a happy 4th, Mike ❤️
Supervised on top of that
Pretty bad
I keep thinking maybe drugs and abuse .It has to be very bad .Poor child 😢
Drug use history or currently most likely but even with that I’ve had family that has been proved to be a drug user and still got full custody.
Very bad. The worst.
I feel like I'm watching an epic sequel to the Herd/Depp trial lol
I love how calm the judge is.
And don't accept a ride from a stranger unless they offer you candy😂
So item to ALWAYS remember.... NEVER LIE TO A JUDGE.
Never lie on affidavits either😂😂
I would literally walk over hot coals to abide by the courts visitation!
I would be waiting OUTSIDE the building where I’m seeing my child ahead of time so as to not waste a SINGLE MOMENT with them!
I am so glad that I’ve never ever had to deal with anything like this!
I have said it before: Do you hate your ex more Han you love your children? 🤦♀️
I worked in the child welfare field for many years. Supervising agencies all have different policies regarding how they schedule and confirm visitation appointments. They tend to be even more defined and restricted if there's a history of lack of compliance and/or participation. So the agency requesting a written confirmation of intention to keep the visit, or else the visit is cancelled, is not uncommon - especially if she has a history of no-show. I have seen cases where the supervisor will not even retrieve the child until the visiting parent shows up, to avoid putting the child through the process of going into the agency for the visit, only to be disappointed.
11:01 Total Dad move by the judge. This man had kids that liked to play the “but mom said I could” card one too many times.
The visitation schedule is set, but, each visit she MUST confirm she will be there, that is what she is refusing to accept..
He is the most calming judge. The way he speaks would make me forget I was in court 😮
I don’t know who irritated me more, the Karen lying constantly or this ladies phone cutting out every 5 minutes and Mike having stop and get her to fix the phone.
I was super annoyed by the phone cutting out and her constantly picking it up and putting it down very distracting lol
It amazes me how people think that notarizing a document somehow guarantees the veracity of the content and therefore admissible as irrefutable evidence…WRONG. The only Thant that notarizing does is indicate the identity of the person either central to or submitting the document has been cross-checked, and that the document was signed by that confirmed individual in the presence of the Notary. That’s it. That’s all it does.
Notarizing just verifies the signature, not the contents. An affirmation or affidavit is verifying the contents.
Exactly. I’ve had to get things notarized after my spouse died and they made it very clear every time that they are validating only the signature.
This judge's demeanor is perfect for Family Court. I once worked in child protection/child welfare and this judge's personality is built for this type of court. Now, re: the Karen's case, I'd be interested to know the details of this case...back from initial divorce/custody circumstances. I wonder what her issues are that she has such limited custody. Also, who are these other people who didn't say anything the whole time?
My thoughts exactly. Family court can be very emotionally heated and one method of verbal de-escalation is to soften one's voice and lower your volume, which causes others to mirror your tone. This method is especially effective if you're in a position of authority, such as the judge.
@@MHLegacy As an elementary school teacher, if I noticed lots of energy when the kids returned from recess, I’d start whispering the lesson as they were coming in. It was like magic! And the kids got a huge kick out of it. They all automatically whispered when it was their turn to speak. It’s one of my favourite memories of ‘my kids’. They’re all still in my heart, deeply embedded, forever. I would have done the job for free (but don’t tell anyone). 🤫
This lady, the mom?, She's just making stuff up and thinking the judge is going to fall for it!!hahaha
Debbie Davis, Ultimate Attorney...
Mike, Would you do this voluntarily?
Debbie, Well, for pay, obviously. Lol
These fights are unreal. A guy I used to work with went through a divorce. His ex moved about three hours away so their settlement had an agreed child visitation handoff-they each had to drive 90 mins. She ended up moving back to the same town-but STILL made him drive to that pick up spot out of spite. He worked. She didn't. so it was much harder on him.
That is so petty
Ew that's so gross. People that do that kind of nonsense are also hurting their kids.
In Texas he won’t be ordered to pay her if he has the kid. It’s ridiculous for her to even ask. And I work in family court in Texas
Confirmed. In texas only the NCPs income is considered and ncp will be ordered to pay 20% for one kid, all of insurance, and half of uncovered medical
Why is she smiling all the time? She sees her kid for two supervised visits. She is a complete control freak, trying to bankrupt dad.
This is why the case needs one judge that hears all proceedings until it actually is final or is appealed. Numerous judges hearing everything equals bizarre results.
WOW! This case has been going on for EIGHT years!? She’s trying to bankrupt him in attorney fees or something. Shane is doing a great job keeping his cool…who wouldn’t want to smack her at this point.
And the fact that after eight year, she still only has supervised visits is wild.
Between that and having a victim advocate involved suggests that there was abuse on her part...and that she hasn't improved in any meaningful way.
Shane is the attorney so what does he care? He’s getting money! Cameron is the father
I heard someone say once that the only person who profits from any legal action is the attorney.
@@angelmercy5261 if he’s been the attorney for a while it’s possible he has negative emotions about her at this point. There are lawyers who will help you out depending on the situation. If the lawyer is a father himself that could be enough reason to hate this woman. He might be getting paid but after a while it’s not about the paycheck…it’s about this woman genuinely being a horrible person and putting the father..his client, through hell just because she can. Even the scummiest of lawyers would have an emotional reaction to this. Shane does an amazing job keeping this professional but you can still tell he can’t stand her lol. And he’s totally justified in that
Sadly my divorce/custody stuff has dragged on for 12 YEARS with my ex taking me in and out of court periodically since 2011. Because my kids are now adults that have disabilities, it could drag on literally forever. I’ve done so much to try to keep the peace & mediate out of court. We also went through 7 YEARS of reunification therapy where my ex was finally dismissed from therapy without ever seeing the children once in 7 yrs for noncompliance. I feel for people who have crazy exs!
If someone says "Affidavids", they should automatically lose. My favorite is "Afterdavids", but it's equally irritating.
What about Alpha Davids?
After the fact watcher here and student of law. Love you Mike & love Debbie Davis! The two of you together with this Karen/“Karen” was magic! Keep up the great work!
That's more effort than I put into painting my walls - good gravy. 💅
The fact that she weirdly smi3kes and looks away from the screen everytime she lies is such a give away. And who does she think the judge is going to believe? Her, who's already lied to the judge about another JUDGE and has supervised visits only? Or the father who has custody of the kids, a lawyer and is not smiling weirdly at inappropriate times. Major Amber Heard vibes going on.
That's exactly what I was thinking. 👏
Always love when Debbie provides insight. And, she'd make a very fair family court judge. 👍

This crazy lunatic .. straight up lied to a judge about what another judge ruled on! This woman is insane to think she can get away with HER crap! This father is trying so hard with a woman who is a complete narcissist! As an adult myself, the last thing I would do is try to pull one over on a judge! Definition of a narcissist! This case is just Shameful! I feel so bad for the kid who is in the middle of this. I can't believe a mother would make this situation so difficult. The narcissism is strong with this one. Perhaps even some APD. Especially if child abuse is involved.
Around the 20th minute I'm getting a very strong and repeatedly affirmed feeling that this "trip with grandma" is her actually planning to take the kid and run. I don't even think she's fully aware that's what she's planning. It's like the guy from Falling Down. He didn't know his plan is to find his family, kill them and kill himself, but that was his plan.
Waiting for Dana Carvey to pop out and yell , "Turtle!"

She’s insane! I mean does she even process what is actually going on right now??
It takes A LOT for a mother to lose custody and still 8 years later still stuck with supervised visits. She had to of done something horrible and really put her child in danger 😳
Poor kid. Thank God his dad seems to actually be an adult. I hope their son is able to recover from all their trauma that his mother has put him through…
I think she's depressed and backed into a corner.
Her recent job history isn't stable.
At a guess I'd say she recently crashed her car DUI with the child with her.
I feel for her, actually.
@@xcrockery8080 I wouldn't. She's dragging her child into interviews, evaluations, etc over and over again not considering his feelings. Her current situation may not be ideal but she made her bed and needs to bite her tongue and just go with it, improve her career and mental health and do her scheduled visits, save up for her own lawyer. That will endear the court to her situation and she'd be able to finally get the visitation adjusted to a more reasonable time and unsupervised.
@X Crockery you feel for her but not the child she abused and endangered?
"she crashed her car DUI with her child with her"
"I feel for her"

Is it just me... or did she literally "misinterpret" literally every communication that was discussed in this call?
My imaginary witnesses are on standby in my head and the voices in my head are ready to testify.😏
Mike I am glad you have Debbie Davis on she adds fun to your channel
If the court deems that you committed perjury at the custody trial, can the mother loose custody of the child and only be granted visitation?
Its wild to me that she keeps lying about things she knows they can easily prove. She knows he can ask the other judge, she knows that email chain exists and what they say, she _definitely_ knows the judge remembers what he _just said._ But she keeps doubling down on her lies even after its proven _how_ does she think thats going to work??
Maybe she's just so used to doing that and people giving in to make her shut up, and she can't figure out that that isn't going to work in court on a judge
Yes
That's where narcissism and psychopathy come in. They often genuinely believe that they are smarter than everyone.
Sadly, this is becoming more common with people these days, they see facts and reality conforming to their beliefs and views rather than what they are.
She's a pathological liar
Medicated. She must be with that demeanour. But yes also pathological
"I earn $3,000 a month before tax [and need an Attorney paid for by everyone else]"
I love how Shane Landers just sits back chilling thinking "I just need to stay quiet, and I win". I love his laughter. Legend Lawyer.
David Tros looks like a member of "The Cure" band in a suit :P
MISH!! I miss seeing you in Judge Kim's stream!!!
Hi Mish! I miss seeing you too! Take care and see you around!
@@kimcrawford5247 G'day Kim. Drop me an email :)
Miss Judge Kim’s court crew as well
I'm thinkin' the Karen didn't expect this judge to call her bluff and check the record for himself. Meanwhile, the lawyer knew there was a record that would align with his recollection and expose the Karen's lies.
I feel like she smiled at the end cause she heard "I approve you take take your son to the 90th birthday" vs deny the. She is going to gaslight someone to think the judge approved it.
That judge’s voice though! He’s probably not the life of the party!
Judge Drews calm voice always makes me so relaxed it's like the tingles you get from listening to ASMR
Judge reminds me of the HR guy from The Office.
He should read some books on audible
I love that every Pro Se litigant solidly on the Dunning-Krueger graph starts their argument with "I object." It's really nice, in a way, it tells me they're a moron from the first two words.
Interesting how she alleges that “he canceled all July visits” and then says “I had no idea this weekend was canceled” 🤔
The lady with the phone to her ear the whole time is driving me nuts lol
Same! Who is she talking too???
