Conversation with Jaap Grolleman on the Future of Pimax Super and VR Challenges | SimRacingExpo 2024

At SimRacingExpo 2024, I had a great conversation with Jaap Grolleman at the Pimax booth, where we explored the exciting innovations behind the Pimax Crystal Super. We discussed its key features, including panels, lenses, and the groundbreaking swappable optical engine, which allows users to upgrade both lenses and panels.
Jaap also shared insights into the future of VR, the challenges in achieving higher resolution and FOV, and the balance between performance and wireless technology.

What happened to the statement that he said they're going to keep us informed? Is the Crystal light and they can't even ship that does super doomed maybe the end of next year we probably get it if we want to wait

Is it going to be released this year that's my question I already put my 99 cents on it I just want to know if it's going to be shipping this year like you guys promised. Or is it going to be just like the other ones like the 12K

I hope it comes this year, but if not, a little extra time will only help. The 12k is proving to be a challenge, but Pimax is knocking it out of the park and are doing a great job getting us headsets and perfecting their software.

@@kangjames2492 The Pimax 12K had parts of it's development delayed due to the limitations of displayport 1.4. Now that DP 2.1 is out there, the 12K has accelerated parts of it's development.

@Spinelli__ Cool!! I'll be getting the Crystal Super, and when the 12 releases, hopefully, I can get that also. It may be outdated by then tjiugh.

They do not seem to be talking about the super anymore and it's supposed to be released this year looks like we're going to get another disappointment from this company😢
