great looking box set and only 18.00 bucks...thats a steal! only bad part is the way they stored them..hope they dont scratch when you take them out..great buy buddy.
Jay, that really is Superb value for money at a great pick up price. Totally agree with you on the disc manifolds themselves, they could have at the very least provided paper or card slip covers rather than allowing for potential scuffing or scratching off the card when removing & returning. That book alone though would likely attract the bulk of that bargain price if sold separately. Great deal. Part 3 is Big Fun, lots of snow monster CGI but in keeping with the Fantastical elements & Action.
Class! movies are not the best but it would be nice to own, the book is amazing we should see more of that kind of stuff and atleast the packaging was better than toy story. The game looks like snake and ladders meets monoply.
Awesome Mummy Box Set Jay!..i feel like the dvds could get scratched every time you pull them out, they should of done that differently..hope u had an fantastic weekend!
@Absolutesublime1 Haha thanks! Nice to see someone around my age who gets the reference! Yeah, I've been meaning to get around to putting together my own ranked movie list, might even make a video out of it on one of my other channels one day, who knows? I look forward to seeing your own some day!
I have seen all of them but just watched the trilogy for the first time on bluray (thanks to them being 5 bucks on black Friday)....I really enjoy the first one, 2nd was solid and I like the yetis in the 3rd lol.
@AgentDuckMan Amazon is the best place to get movies from, there is still a possibility to get a damaged item, but out of all the sites I've used over the years it is by far the safest. I got your message, and thank you for the kind words, I appreciate that. The I Am Legend and Wanted sets can normally be found for $20-$30 on Amazon , it's legit.
@miyacemu Ive heard a lot of negative things about the 3rd but I thought the 2nd was a fun popcorn flick. I think the set is a great value for what you get, I am pleased with it overall. Thanks for the support! How is your weekend going? See any good movies lately?
@lastalot I hear you! I did a video review of Green Lantern, which I will post probably tomorrow and I am hoarse in it as well haha. I will have to check out your exploitation review, definitely some great exploitation flicks out there. Did you see Machete? If so what did you think of it?
@Absolutesublime1 I know! Well haven't been able to get out to the movies much, mainly catching up on some that have been out for a while. Just watched Law Abiding Citizen, The House of the Devil, and the new Alice in Wonderland..enjoyed them all! How about you?
1 is great. 2 is fine. 3 is a let down, not surprisingly. But a fun watch nonetheless. You should check out the Coffin Joe series. Boy oh boy are they good.
Great vid good sir. DVD discs scratch rather easy, were your discs scratched? Besides the packaging design choice for the discs, it looks like a great set. Suweet!
@buckaroobanzai You know what movie I really need to see? The Adventures Buckaroo Banzai! The value is great, but I am surprised they cheaped out on the disc storage, especially given the the detail the put into the rest of the set. The book is great and the outside of the box has intricate detailed design on it. Ooh snow monster? I love snowy setting movies, Ive heard mostly negative on it but it sounds like it cool be cheesey fun though.
Jay, I've seen all 3 Moms by now, but really thought that M3 was too much of too much. But... good entertainment and it doesn't pretend to be THE GODFATHER. Michael, from..
@blumagic1000 Yup, guilty! I plan to reupload 5 or 6 more in the future, I do promise lots of new videos soon though. I plan on being more active and updating more frequently as well. How's your weekend going?
I had this one too, it came new in the shrink. If you loke closely under a light: all discs are scratched. Maybe even unwatchable (haven't actually checked all of the discs). That's the worst part of this set: how the discs are packaged..
@HappyBirthdayPaulie I have a notebook full of video ideas, with about 50 top 10 concepts. Any top 10 in particular you would like to see? or just like a top 10 of my favorite movies?
@criticnic I personally don't really care to see Alice In Wonderland, but maybe one day I will check it out. Did you like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? The Tim Burton Johnny Depp one. I picked up Law Abiding Citizen for cheap, have to check it out , have heard mixed reviews but for a blind buy I couldnt pass up the price.
@lastalot Ah, I thought it was amazing, perfection for what kind of movie it was, a grindhouse exploitation style movie with great over the top action. It might not be for everyone but it was right up my alley, great cast as well.
@criticnic See I didn't enjoy Charlie and the Chocolate factory with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, and the Alice in Wonderland trailers and clips always reminded me of it, which is why I avoided it. I like Depp in some movies but not in others, hit or miss for me, I'll always remember him from 21 jump street, his best performance :p jk I do admit I loved the 2nd Pirates of the Caribbean movie,hated the 3rd, havent seen the 4th yet. Thanks for the support, I cant wait to see your new reviews also!
@Absolutesublime1 yeah, I kind of agree about House of the Devil, I loved watching it, but thought the story itself was weak in a lot of areas. I didn't think I would like Alice in Wonderland but thought it was a lot of fun, and Depp is always great. I did see the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, from what I remember I liked it. Law Abiding Citizen was awesome man, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it! Looking forward to your new reviews!
@mikediamond100 The first one was a fun popcorn movie, and I remember thinking the 2nd one was goofy but still fun, I haven't seen the 3rd one yet but Ive heard negative reviews for it.
@michaeldonnelly92 Oh yeah I forgot she wasn't in it, big flaw right there. I assume she just had another movie she was doing or either passed altogether on the script, maybe a smart move on her part. That stinks, I'm going to give it a watch anyways, hopefully I will enjoy it a little more than you, if not the set is still awesome and I enjoyed the other 2 in the series, they aren't perfect movies but the first 2 are fun popcorn flicks.
@Absolutesublime1 If you haven't seen The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai Across The Eigth Dimension you most definitely need to Jay. It's one of lifes must see movies. Feel Good Factor 10. The Mummy 3 does miss the original cast prescence of Rachel Weisz but the Expansive framework of the picture is as big & Fun as the first two. The abominal snow beasts sequence is very Cool. It's grade A Hollywood 'B' feature goodness with a large budget, heck dive right on in and enjoy a slice :)
I don't think that was available at the time, I uploaded this video in June 2011, and it was a reupload from my old channel from a year prior. I do plan to pick up the Mummy trilogy on blu-ray though, I'm sure it would look visually stunning.
BlackNinja847 It's all good, I only reuploaded a couple videos from my old channel, this was one of them. Crazy to think this video is so old ha. I actually really like the first two Mummy movies, cheesy action fun with some horror elements, I know I saw the 2nd in theaters with friends but I can't recall if I saw the first one in theaters or not. I do plan to pick up the blu-ray set for the Mummy trilogy. Thanks for reminding about it.
2 was an absolute disaster on so many levels. I still can't get over how bad it was. I'll never watch it again. I never even bothered with the other ones.
@Absolutesublime1 Not really to be honest, I mean you could say the action scenes are good but even thats pushing it, what annoyed me was the cast change of rachel weisz to some really bad actress!! also now that the son is grown up, brendan fraiser seems to be trying to speak deeper, like he is in competition with the son!! Overall just a bad film, that ruins the series :(
These older unboxings are great.
Smoooth audio.
Thanks I appreciate it :) cheers!
niiiiice. I love those movies. Seen each one like a thousand times
great looking box set and only 18.00 bucks...thats a steal! only bad part is the way they stored them..hope they dont scratch when you take them out..great buy buddy.

Back in sixth grade my history teacher made us write an essay about the differences between the original and 1999 film.
@AgentDuckMan
You're welcome, and both of those sets are a great value for the price.
Class! movies are not the best but it would be nice to own, the book is amazing we should see more of that kind of stuff and atleast the packaging was better than toy story. The game looks like snake and ladders meets monoply.

cool unboxing Jay! have a great weekend buddy!
wow I got to get the DVDs I only have the first film on VHS
I have seen all of them but just watched the trilogy for the first time on bluray (thanks to them being 5 bucks on black Friday)....I really enjoy the first one, 2nd was solid and I like the yetis in the 3rd lol.
That's awesome! Glad to hear it and wow that was a great deal!
great edition , - ) !!
Cool dvd update.

Ive heard a lot of negative things about the 3rd but I thought the 2nd was a fun popcorn flick.
I think the set is a great value for what you get, I am pleased with it overall.

@ChillPilgrim1138
Thanks, how have you been? Any fun plans for the weekend?
what did you think about the third movie?
Yeah I hate the way the discs are set up but love everything else about the set
Sweet set!!!!!
@lastalot
I hear you! I did a video review of Green Lantern, which I will post probably tomorrow and I am hoarse in it as well haha. I will have to check out your exploitation review, definitely some great exploitation flicks out there.
Did you see Machete? If so what did you think of it?
@Mmaretti666
According to bluray.com it is region free, makes it even better!
@Absolutesublime1 I know! Well haven't been able to get out to the movies much, mainly catching up on some that have been out for a while. Just watched Law Abiding Citizen, The House of the Devil, and the new Alice in Wonderland..enjoyed them all! How about you?

You should check out the Coffin Joe series. Boy oh boy are they good.
I have this set, very nice collectors piece but the disc card sleeve housing is a little disappointing. It hasn't scratched my discs though.
Great vid good sir. DVD discs scratch rather easy, were your discs scratched? Besides the packaging design choice for the discs, it looks like a great set. Suweet!
Great set! 1&2 are great! 3 is a complete waste of time!!!
@buckaroobanzai

im just beginning to wonder if you got a hardon for your boxset????
@HappyBirthdayPaulie
Also I always meant to tell you that I love your screen name haha that was one of the funnier moments in Rocky history.
@criticnic
See I didn't enjoy Charlie and the Chocolate factory with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, and the Alice in Wonderland trailers and clips always reminded me of it, which is why I avoided it. what are u gonna do make out with it? thats what it seems like
Did you Reupload this video, i think i saw it before?

Do a top 10!!!
A scene I always remember from the mummy was those damn bugs especially when that guy got one in his skin and it crawled into his head yikes.
@Absolutesublime1 If you haven't seen The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai Across The Eigth Dimension you most definitely need to Jay. It's one of lifes must see movies. Feel Good Factor 10.

@Absolutesublime1 Just your favorite 10...or 20...or hell, 100 if that's what you want lol. I admire your taste in film and am interested =D

Could've just brought the trilogy in a US blu ray i saw one on amazon would've been cheaper :P
I don't think that was available at the time, I uploaded this video in June 2011, and it was a reupload from my old channel from a year prior. I do plan to pick up the Mummy trilogy on blu-ray though, I'm sure it would look visually stunning.
._. sorry didn't know it was that old but i will not pick it up either not that interested in the mummy series :/
BlackNinja847 It's all good, I only reuploaded a couple videos from my old channel, this was one of them. Crazy to think this video is so old ha. Did you win the bid? lol
lol,yes it is:)

2 was an absolute disaster on so many levels. I still can't get over how bad it was. I'll never watch it again. I never even bothered with the other ones.
im hoping to win this on ebay
@AgentDuckMan
I would even say it's moose feces.

I know! I wish it were as well, maybe one day they will make one for Blu-Ray.
Absolutesublime1 nooo they wont =[ because there already cheap blu rays like there all under £5.00 dunno bout dollars but yhh wnt happen
Absolutesublime1 btw what do you think to the third mummy??? i love it because i like chinese films

I only liked the first one. The rest were meh.
I highly dissaprove of the packing for the movies horrible
3rd one sucked imo. strayed way to far from the first two
