I bought one of the first 257r PCB's and the voltage controlled panning was incomplete. Furthermore, If I put a negative voltage on the M input, and the voltage exceeded -6 or -7 volts, it would shut down and would quit working until I powered down my modular and powered it back up again. It worked good enough to be useful and I never got around to fixing it. I just discovered that troubleshooter extraordinare Dave Brown discovered that a part of the circuit was missing and he came up with a mod that fixes it 100%..
Great demo! Wondering what that red LED does when a negative voltage is patched in? I'm using a Serge SWAMP panel with my Buchla system and a few of the outputs are inverted so I can't use them with my 200e modules. Looks like I could use 257 to either attenuate them into the negative (converting them to positive) or offset by up to 10v. Just wondering if I'd get any indication from the LED if negative voltage is still present or I'd need to use my 225h to check. Trying to decide between 257 and NLM Voltage Circus hVC. Any additional info appreciated.
I’ll need a 257t as it’s the only way I can think of to get a useful cv range out of the 245t. Handy demo- thanks!
Thanks for making this. I’m waiting for the 257t for my euro/Buchla system
This video is great! Now I love my 257! Thanks!!
Great demo Adam!!!
awesome demo thank you

Thanks !
vc crossfader, not panner, not mixer
Glad i wasn't the only one bugged by that.
