I’ve been watching your videos for a year and I wonder, do you happen to be the eldest daughter in your family? I’m the oldest child in the family and I managed to break the cycle of toxic relationships. I notice that in instances of dysfunctional families, it is almost always the oldest child who turns out the most resilient and ambitious eventually, so I wonder why.

Firstly, thank you SO much for supporting me for a year now!!! Wow, that's so crazy for me to think about and I am so grateful! :)
But yes, I am the oldest sibling. Haha, that's interesting to think about and I wonder if that is the case most times. Perhaps it's our need to take responsibility and action as we are always placed in positions to do so..? Something I'm interested in looking into, for sure! Thanks for the thought. :)

No, thank you. YOU helped me so much!!
I heard that birth order does make an impact on attachment. For instance, the firstborn child gets undivided attention from their parents until the subsequent children are born. None of our younger siblings had an opportunity to experience one-on-one bonding time with their primary caregivers - they were competing with us for attention from birth. There are all kinds of theories about birth order - the youngest is ‘coddled’, the middle child feels neglected, and the oldest child feels responsible for other’s actions.
