My husband as nd filed for heart, lung as nd kidney disease 8 years ago. As of last year, he died from stage 4 lung cancer, prostate and bladder cancer was diagnosed in March of 2022, the lung cancer was diagnosed July 15, 2022 and my husband sc band died October 15, 2022. Having a genetics test around the May 2022 time, was critical and proved that he had NO family background for any cancers. He was in the N as vy and after his passing I took a copy of his g ed netics test and a letter from his cancer doctor to a local VA representative. She told me the VA said he had not file 8 years earlier which was a lie. WHY would the BA lie about a fellow service man filing for disability, this was a slap in his face and showed even the VA can be corrupt! Thankfully the VA rep was able to prove my husband DID file 8 years earlier and it is now being looked at. I do not expect to recieve anything, being his surviving spouse because of corrupt VA people looking at veterans paper work behind closed doors, making decisions for which they show favoritism. My husband was in 3 branches of the military and loved this country. He deserved better treatment than to have had to wait 8 years to be considered for disability and basically slapped in the face by the VA and finally lied about filing. Sadly, he died before he recieved what he rightfully deserved!!!
Other veterans need to be investigated for fraud! I know 3-4 veterans that act like they are worse off while visiting the BA clinics and are getting disability that they do NOT deserve.
