Excellent review. I have the 2017 Reacto 7000E which is pretty much the same model as this. Its a great ride and comfortable even over 100km. Thankfully my ride doesn't have the loose cabling which on your reviewed bike is a big oversight.
Have the 5000 (2019) it's been a great bike for eating up the miles on long rides. My only complaint is the spaghetti cable routing. Also wish they offered more colour options instead of just changing it every year.
Just bought this bike down from £3000 to £1850 lots of discounts and cash back offers. Didn’t have it on my radar until yesterday which the massive price drops. You got any more videos on this bike
reacto is awesome i ride it 18000kms and so many elevations. uphill flat road or even 400ks long ride no problem at all the main downside is the rear brake position. btw my reacto is aluminum reacto honor a special edition
I own Scultura 300, I thought Im good at climbing, but as I gained some leg strength on a gym and gained some muscle weight I think I could pick reacto instead :D
Hey, nice video :) I've been looking at a reacto 5000 2018, what do you guys think about that one? Seems like a solid bike. Using a trek 1.1 atm. I'm not racing. Mostly traning leizure rides. Loving the idea of a stiff aerobike :)
Hello I have Short listed these bike 1. Merida Recto 500. Ultegra 2. Merida scultura 500 ultrgra 3. Felt FR 30. 105 4. Fuji Ruubaix 1.3 105 Which is good and value for money?
can you recommend adding deep section wheeles to this frame? I am thinking, however about the reacto disc version, so a set of 60 mm deep wheeles should be nice. any way, great review.
Hey SickBiker, is it possible to adjust the flappiness (sensitivity) of 105 shifter levers? the more gears you engage the flappier it gets to engage the next gear. can that be made shorter? thanks.
Hello. Shoutout from the philippines. Ive narrowed my roadbike choices down to cannondale optimo tiagra/105 or merida reacto 400 tiagra/105. Can i hear your thoughts please.
Hey Cannondanny! Ive started XC riding in Belgium a month ago and clocked 300 km’s already. We havent done many technical stuff but Ive been struggling with the same thing. A pool of water about half a wheels length and about 1,5m long. Theres a ramp in and out of dirt but I cant really seem to have a surefire way to get through. Can you help?
Hey guys, my local bike shop has told me the Reacto give a very very hard ride and that it isnt a good bike, I'm choosing between the Reacto 5000 or Scultura 5000, but I like the look of the reacto better. Is the ride on the reacto as bad as they say it is?
Do you think that I should spend about 1000€ more on my new mtb to get Shimano XT brakes and Kashima Coating or save a lot of money and go for Fox performance suspension and SLX brakes, I'm not a very rich guy
Yeah I know, I have A lot of SLX on my current bike, including brakes, I love them and the new bike I'm looking at is Commencal META AM V4.2 ESSENTIAL 650B SHINY RED 2018
Hi, It seems like you enjoy cycling just as much as we do! We would be happy to send you a sample of WingLights. It’s a great and unique product that attach magnetically to the handlebar and close in an aluminum keyring when removed, you can find more info on our website: www.cycl.bike Let us know if you are interested, Best Wishes,
Hahaha! I've had the 2017 mode, for 2 years now and get so many positive comments about the look of the Merida 7000E. That model, doesn't have any white on it though, all black and red.
Excellent review.

4. Fuji Ruubaix 1.3 105
Which is good and value for money?
Avinash Sandeilya Merida scultura 500 any day is value for money. I own it.
No Giant Propal in the competitor's list?

Hey man! Merida Reacto 2021 or Canyon Aeroad? Which one you pick over the other and why? Really confusing.
Hi, will you post a long term review of those assioma soon?
Good info, thank you.
Please can you review the Merida Scultura 4000 (2018).
Thanks

What do you think of the Pinarello Gan S?
0:06 why he did this? Visor is also for aerodynamics, right? not for mtb at all

Hi, do the cables rattle inside the frame, because they do on the Scultura in the top frame which is really annoying.
Put a cable tie where it enters the frame
@@oengus5686 Thanks for the info, my LBS did a magnificent job and it is now totally fixed!

I ride the Reacto 400 with my own saddle and other tires. I find it comfortable enough for a few hours.
Do you think that I should spend about 1000€ more on my new mtb to get Shimano XT brakes and Kashima Coating or save a lot of money and go for Fox performance suspension and SLX brakes, I'm not a very rich guy
What is the bike? SLX is not a bad groupset by any measure.
Yeah I know, I have A lot of SLX on my current bike, including brakes, I love them and the new bike I'm looking at is Commencal META AM V4.2 ESSENTIAL 650B SHINY RED 2018

Personally I dont think that is worth 1K, I would save the money. That is a lot of money for very little improvement
Ok Thx for help, will go with the more affordable bike.
Lol. Comparing Merida to Specialized Venge which is not even produced now. Since 2018 there is only Venge Vias.
Tyre is Made in Korea! :D
And im pretty sure that the handlebar is too wide. Like most bikes.
Trek ?? Hymmm....... Only MADONE !!!:)
I as well never had to touch the nipple
haha you are so funny :/ i have thought that canondale is one of the best what's hapend :) In my opinion this is subjective opinions from merida's guy

i like this bike, but i dont like the red accents.
Czm masz 2 kanaly xddd
You made the handlebar tape so ugly with that cables all over your bars
He didn't make anything. This is factory setting. He even criticized those cables himself in the latter part of the video. Did you actually watch it?
Merida kinda sucks, that's the truth...
kunivanu don't Merida make most of the specialized frames?
Awful looking bike i think
Know what you mean but these tube shapes, dimensions etc. Especially dropped seatposts look too technical, missing the soul
Horrible chunky seatclamp also
Step Forward yea, this ones ugly.. 📦..
Hahaha!
