Come on, this light should have switchable blinking function... complex PCB and electronics only for being able to flash a secondary LED when battery runs low... crazy.
I use with rechargeable battery- Panasonic or Sanyo and even when they are fully charged, light is in saving enegry mode. Reason is Rechargeable has 1,2V insted of 1,5V but it is no problem. It is still enough bright. Sanyo Eneloop BK-4MCCE Ni-MH 750mah last 8 hours and 35 minutes. Ni-MH 1000mah shoud last around 11 hours. edit: Just tested Varta 1000 (1038mah tested by me) goes 11 hours 15 minutes :)
@@MrCarter530 it is like that cos rechargeable are 1.2V but even with that they will work as long as I said dependable of rechargeable capacity. 11h is pretty good runtime
This isn't a light for seeing objects but allows you to be seen. Lights don't need to be super bright if it means you get seen. You can be seen with lights of 20 lumens.
Surprised most manufacturers haven't copied this idea . Xcellent Merida . Awesome idea
Thanks for the info. I thought the light was spolit when I replaced the batttery as there was no blinking!👍👍👍
Glad it helps! 👍
Is there any aftermarket edition of this lamp, that is brighter than the stock edition?
I have no idea, that flashing means battery is running out of power! So the problem is with old batteries, that video was very helpful, thanks!
But this flashing is a good thing! Prolongs battery life and makes you more visible 🤘

Thank you for your great information 👍🏻

Thanks for you experience with rechargeable AAAs. 8-11 hours is impressive result!
It's always flashing so I didn't know this means low battery. I use rechargable battery, maybe need to find some can do 1.5v.

Дак эт в инструкции написано же. Потом и основной диод мигает после 25% и пока уже все не вырубит
Never had a reacto but just in case 😉
我個人沒有很喜歡😮因為他沒電要一直換電池我個人是騎瑞克多9000我把它的燈座弄掉了😅
The most useless feature in a bike
Until somebody hit you from behind 😂
Batteries run low for a period then die
the light is about as bright as a candle, completely useless
