Given the fact that R.E.M. will never reunite it is almost unbelievable to me that Mike, Peter and Bill were on a stage together and played an old R.E.M. song. It really makes me happy.

I only just now noticed (REM fan since early in their history) that Rockville and Texarkana both have a total pause for almost a full measure. In Texarkana it’s at the end of the bridge and in Rockville it’s more or less there too, cause what comes after it is really the end of a verse. Mike Mills must like that “full stop” motif.

Soooo nice to see Mr. Berry on the kit. Mr. Mills is the smoothest bassist and an addictive voice. Just rock solid steady. Mr. Buck…. So creative and always ……. Doing new things. Miss Michael. Man I hope they do a small (in number) but big in venue reunion tour. Coolest band. REM and U2 were as much a part of my youth as my best friends.

I'm sure it's not without at least some level of trying, but I don't think I've ever seen Peter Buck not makin' a perfect picture of rock-n-roll cool-as-shit. I saw REM in 1987, and again sometime in the late 90's, both times awesome, although I was more than a little drunk in 1987... I'm a fan of the band and all four them, as such, but man, Peter Buck does bring the look/vibe every time, doesn't he? Even at 50 whatever he is here... GAWD, what a fanboi thing to say. Lol!
