You can do either, as we have with 2 of these made now. The main thing is to make sure only one 5V feed goes to the Receiver from the ESCs. This usually means pulling out one red connection on an ESC's throttle "servo" plug.
nothing tricky just 2 CAR ESCs. One hooked up to the Throttle, the other to the Elevator. No mixing, just one stick for each. Obviously you need to be careful finding centre on the Throttle stick with no self centering spring. Pusk both sticks forward to advance, both back to reverse, and alternate to turn on the spot. simple.
nothing to the frame, just grab some 20mm poly plumbing pipe and fittings (10 tees, 8 x 90deg elbows, 4 end caps, poly glue, zip ties, and a couple of pool noodles. Then just cut it out to suit your application, and glue together. Then your electronics which were 2 x 35A Car ESC, 2 x 35x30 Brushless Aero motors 900kV, 2 x 12 x 6 APC style Props and a big 12V LiPo. If you have experience in wiring up electric RC Watercraft, you will know what to do.
@@bradbenedict1312 no sure, you would need a ground transmitter that supported mixing across 2 channels in order to get the differential motor control for steering
@@Blisoft would you be able to explain how to do the wiring?.lol. what wires goes where. im trying to build me a rescue boat also. ive never messed around with electric boats. always gas. lol. if you could help me out , i would highly appreiciate it. have nowhere else to turn too.

you should sell those on ebay. I bet people would pay good money for a craft like that. I know, I would.
