The reason why it is so slow is because your smartphone has an ARM-CPU while macos X for example is compiled for X86-CPUs. The virtual machine needs to translate all X86 calls into ARM which is really slow. So I doubt it will run much better on a Snapdragon-CPU, since snapdragon is also on ARM instructionset. Running an OS compiled for ARM in that VM, would be much faster. Sadly only modern OS actually have ARM variants.
I was referring to newer snapdragon processors with better performance like the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 or 3. I am sure it will run far better on those smartphones.
