This is the first time I'm taking a closer examination at the lyrics of this beautiful song, even though it's been so many years. I had always thought it was some competition between two women over a guy, but then I realized that by She-Wolf it's not really suggesting the gender of a wolf, rather She-Wolf has always been a strong symbol that clearly means lust despite gender. An example of this would be Dante's Inferno, where easily the author could've just said wolf but to clearly show that the wolf wasn't a symbol of violence or hunger but of lust he uses She-Wolf. (Don't ask me what it is about putting the word 'she' in front of 'wolf' that suddenly turns the meaning into sexual lust, I believe it's one of those things were women are seen as objects rather than people but I wouldn't know any better *shrug* ) Also 'You loved me and I froze in time, hungry for that flesh of mine' That can be taken a number of ways. Originally I thought it was talking about a girl who was 'hungry' for her lover's 'flesh' but then she couldn't compete with the other girl who is a She-Wolf. But now I think this is talking about someone who has grown lustful over the narrator, specifically their body because it states hunger over their flesh and how the narrator can't stop them, they have become the She-Wolf. Therefore maybe the song is talking about being pressured into having sex? To me that makes the most sense so far. Still a wonderful song!

Is this a remake? I thought it might be the original up till the drop, because that synth is different to the vocal version... Unless its just the quality of it, I have a feeling that the high frequencies are distorted, the cymbals in the verses sound too much like white noise and i dont hear that in the original so much
