Absolutely love this watch, got mine two years ago when it was less desirable, and it’s beautiful to now see it finally coming to light like this, Rolex had to remove it from the shelves for it to be appreciated, and it finally now really is ✨👌🏼
To anybody that isn’t aware, the Air-King isn’t a bitsa watch, Rolex produced it in conjunction with the Bloodhound supersonic car project and the dial is a direct homage to the gauges in the car that were supplied by Rolex, have a google, this is a massively underrated watch and one that in time will surely go up in value! ☺️
the Bloodhound project is never mentioned for the airking by Rolex itself. of course the dial is like the one of the supersonic car but it is no homage to the gauges. Why would Rolex make a homage to a project which wasn't succesfull?
@@meandmytools9819 because the watch was released at the same time the project was launched and before they knew it wasn’t going to be successful 🤷🏻♂️
This is such a bold design ! I love it ! Honestly I don’t understand all the hate when is the very first time in years ( probably since the Milgauss ) Rolex making an statement design and taking some risk. The green second hands and the yellow and green accents 💚
Nice review. I love mine, had an Explorer I but it always felt a bit small and boring. AK is perfect for me, brushed steel bracelet (unlike MG), pop of colour, and some presence with the curvy thickness. Various rumours the Bloodhound will be discontinued tomorrow - fun stuff.
I love my AK. I had a two-tone sub before, but I think I prefer my AK. I'd love it to be discontinued, and shoot up in value, mine is basically unworn too. I do see it being discontinued, but don't see a price increase tbh.
The new AK is cool, but so puzzling. Why the asymmetry with the single digit at the 1 position (why not 05)? Why go huge and thick a la milgauss? Why white gold non-lumed arabics at the 3/6/9 (instead of lumed as on the explorer)? Love the playfulness, but the whole watch is let down by inconsistencies which come off as oversights (whereas, love it or hate it, the milgauss comes off as well thought out, balanced, and just as playful...)
I love my Air King. Got it Sept 2019. Very comfortable every day watch. No one can tell it is a Rolex, so no worries wearing it anywhere. Like most Rolex watches it is much nicer in your hands than in photos. I also have GMT MASTER 2 126710BLNR jubilee. Almost never wear it for several reasons.
The more I see reviews on these the more I like them!
Came out in Basel 2016. One of my favourites
Love my AK. This is the watch that got me into Rolex. I now have three.
Great collection
you have three air kings mate? damn. you're dedicated.

I just bought one about a week ago new from my local AD, and I love it!
Where is your ad?
Jonathan you have an incredible soothing charisma which ensures your videos are extremely cathartic. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Alex.
Maybe consider dialing down the background music volume just a touch? Tends to fight with your voice during the video. Love the content - thanks
Thank you. We shall take note. Appreciate your input.
You are one of the best reviewers!!!
Beautiful introduction to a very underrated watch
Thank you Richard

Great review! Would love to see the same for the 129000 if you get the chance 👍🏼
Such a beauty! Love my air king!

If they discontinue of course the price will go up, maybe just £1500 but in a decade or more it will be highly valuable.
These are now selling for £9500

The solid white gold numerals play with the light in a way that lume filled numerals never could. This watch is stunning under natural light.

I would change the 3 gold numbers 3-6-9 to lume bars. Would look better imo.
Great showcase
Thank you
Parts bin watch but I love it
Thank you for this nice video. Great watch 👍 I love my AK. It‘s my first rolex in my little collection and not the last one. Greetings from Germany
Thank you.
I love this guy. Brill stuff. Can I exchange on my RM? Are Rolex still radioactive?
Well this escalated a hell of a lot. 🤣🤣
