Smugglers always think they won't get caught 🤦♀To check out more crazy moments at the Border, watch this playlist 👉ruclips.net/p/PL8w3l-6EyvdvKManfN0N99Yx6Z1LO_ich&si=xj9-Bw8BlT5EeZJG
Here in Australia, a drug search over the clothes is (less intimidatingly) called a “pat down”, whereas a “rub down” is something you pay for that may or may not have a happy ending 😆
They only waited until the contraband was in the vehicle so that they can seize the car. When it goes unclaimed for so long, its sold (usually at auction, at least in my country). And they keep the *entire* auction-price (less maybe a transaction fee)
Exactly. Huge overreach. In the US, they'd have had to prove that the driver had at least knowledge of what was in the bags. It looks like a pure money grab from this angle.
Cannot understand these cops. A heavy smoker smokes 2 or 3 packets/60 cigarettes per day. Even 3000 cigarettes is not more than 2 months of personal use...
When it becomes economically viable to smuggle cigs on airplanes, you know the cigs are criminally over taxed. The only difference is which criminals are profiting, the smugglers, or the government agents collecting the criminally high taxes. Government is simply the largest criminal organization, the the organization with the largest amount of weapons... ...but they are still criminals..
Not saying they are guilty of anything, but maybe the couple coming back from Jamaica were hired to take drugs into Jamaica and not the other way around. That might explain the expensive trip and near empty suitcases.
If the Asian guy was a tall and handsome Asian, I'm sure the 3k pounds would be nothing. Middle class people can easily spend $10k on a trip abroad, buying Chanel, LV, or Hermes. I feel so bad for people who are looked upon and treated as lower class citizen. They get bullied while those who look middle and upper only get harassed if they bring over $10k without declaring

This video from 20 years ago? CRT monitors in the airport??

Obviously they don't expect to get caught. If they did they wouldn't do it. That said, most smugglers don't get caught.

"The cigarettes will be sent to be incinerated." Yeah, one at a time.
LoL 🤣
They keep the car because the cigs where found in the car... hahahahaha... what a joke.
surprised they can stop them at that point, glad they can but surprised
Check the law, they even can follow them.
They almost got away with it!

only thing i think is wrong is They waited it to put in Car trunk to seige their car.
They are probably the ring leader and not an Uber driver.

The agent is on the clock and acting as a security officer - why is the agent’s face blurred? Is he also innocent until proven guilty?
He didn’t sign the release.
Why do they keep trying to smuggle cigs? There can't be that many that get through.
That bag comes through that first xray the cigs gonna show up....:)
The UK has the highest cig prices in Europe. The punishment when caught smuggling is low. This encourages smugglers.
Follow the money and you will get your answer.
Especially when they keep getting caught 😅
They are no longer in the EU; so the smuggling must be even higher now
I love it when they don't find anything!
Same especially when they're so disappointed about it 😂
Glad they got those hard cigs off the streets.
"I am a single mom, i did it for the money" 😂😂😂
What ridiculous wasted money on virtually nothing. So stupid
Why dont the sell the cigarettes and donate money to a foodbank or something.
That CK brand seems to be very popular, every time someone is caught smuggling cigs its the same brand..wonder why that particular brand.
Cheap.
Seen the first smugglers before
I would notice i was being followed by guys in neon yellow jackets
Not hard to spot 😅
A rub down search??? You mean a pat down? 😂
Do you call it a pat down where you're from?

*"How do you afford a holiday like that with no job"?Has the agent never heard of savings and investments?*
Lanzarotea.............. no....
Do they have this in US too,? Never knew
I guess if they pass inspection it is surprising. So thou roughly searched
why censor some of the officers' faces but some dont?
Because some didn't give their consent.
I love that accent of that one agent. Is it irish? Or scot
Scotts.

The customs officer questioning the Asian guy is wearing a £20,000 watch. They must get paid paid well
Could be a gift or, more likely, a knock off
Could be from the evidence locker , somebody bought it in to avoid taxes and yoink
They dont! Would you wear a watch worth that much in a job like this? Must be a fake.
How much is it worth i. UK? Why chance it!
Lansarote
Cig smuggling is boring.
Undeclared food is boring.
Show something interesting.

That seems pretty sneaky of the border control to wait until they put the cigarettes into the car. They could have arrested them inside the airport.
I wonder if employees just grab a carton of those 🚬
Who pays for the parking of the seized car at the airport?
The classic " I'm a single mother " whine
For the people who legally have cash on them, why don't they just leave it in their account and get cash out at their destination?
To buy cigs!
Seizing a car because some cigarettes where in it for 5 seconds is indeed absurd
They are low income power hungry sadists. Most of cops.
It was obvious that if allowed to continue the people would have used the car to transport themselves and the cigarettes.
What is the resale of cigarettes?
