Searching for Elves in Reykjavik - Iceland

Just before Christmas in 2023, we decided it was time to explore the enchanting land of elves - Iceland. Our journey commenced on a chilly and snowy December day in Vienna, where we boarded a flight to Iceland's Keflavik airport. Upon landing, we hopped on a bus bound for Reykjavik. After an hour's journey, we finally reached the capital city.
Navigating our way to the hotel, we took a scenic stroll through the central park, a delightful experience at sunrise. The soft light illuminated statues scattered around, casting a magical glow on the frozen lake. Amidst this picturesque scene, we noticed a patch of unfrozen water, hosting a lively dance of Ducks, Geese, and Swans. Eventually, we reached the Central Hotels Plaza, our chosen accommodation.
To our pleasant surprise, the Plaza featured an ice skating rink and charming huts offering delectable food and mulled wine, perfect for warming up in the cold. The atmosphere was nothing short of amazing, adding to the overall magic of our Icelandic adventure.
