Thank you so much for replying. I'm really happy you are multi platform. Unfortunately from my own personal experience it'd be hard to search you out. I primarily watch you on RUclips and consume your content here. When I have downtime I have a number of content creators I enjoy and most of them are on RUclips, I tried to watch multiple platforms for one creator and sadly you just become out of sight out of mind. I even stopped watching Joe Rogan because I don't use Spotify...
So while I'm glad you are putting yourself out there in all forms of social interaction I'm going to just have to watch what I can when I can, and thank you for so much warmth from your videos ❤️
Yeah it would be so much better to have a full unedited video version of this podcast. This is honestly kind of a weird way to put out a podcast on RUclips. Like normally clips are released separately in a way shorter form.

At ;east speaking to the "going viral" and making content people want to see, I thought you both had great insight to share. I havve been making content for the last 3 years and it has been kind of a struggle to grow an audience. Not that my niche has low interest, more that I had early successes and few people have stuck around. Unlike others, I'm not on-location as much. I have thougt about making a channel around tea since I'm blind and like you both speak Mandarin. I'm gonna keep at this and see what happens.
I think if you’ve put a good bit of time in, you can do a good look at what works well and what doesn’t. If nothing stands out, it might be a good idea to make bigger choices in topic/format, I always recommend trying new stuff especially if you can keep the time investment down so you can try many things in not that long a time

We’re working on the sound - it apparently has to do with the way we angled the mics
I'd recommend the wireless rode mics. Your gain is up to high and its hard to listen with double audio. Love u and ur channel tho keep it up! Great guest!
Yeah, we are working on the audio, thank you for the patience, I have those mics, and I’m thinking we might wind up using them in the future. The mics on the table are better quality if everything works well, but it’s been difficult to get the sound as good as we want it
@@jessesteahouse seems like you'll get it all sorted! Here's some more unsolicited advice if you're interested haha.
one issue could be proximity. Since both mics are at an offset distance from the two speakers, the sound hits both speakers but slightly delayed - causing the chorus effect.
If the mics won't be situated close to each participant, then it could be better to just use one quality mic that captures both. Or just get the mics closer.
With that said, it's perfectly listenable to me!
@@philosophiabme yes, I actually asked my brother about this, because he studied music production, unfortunately, he’s not in Los Angeles, so he can’t help me with the sound directly, but he suggested, pointing the mikes away from each other, because right now they are pointing in the same direction, and that might be causing the phasing effect. But thanks for the patience as we sorted out, I’m a tea guy and a video guy and not an audio guy 😂

50 basic grasps of languages in 15 years is incredible, a basic grasp meaning like it takes kids 9 years to get there
He definitely doesn't speak 50 languages at a 9 year old level. Probably 30 of those 50 are just a handful of memorized phrases. There are impressive things about what he does. But let's be realistic
The 'tism is strong with this one, I wish I could learn fifty languages.

not sure what's going on with the audio but there's some weird phasing... it seems like you're mixing the audio as mono from the two sources, either your timing is just fractionally off or it's something about the echo of the room. it may even be the balance of voice:room, but there is easily three seconds of echo in that room. i'm not sure if it would benefit from more nuanced mixing. interesting to listen to in any case.

crazy here in britain we drink so much tea but of course its often what I assume is not the highest quality, and very mass produced. Its often called "english breakfast tea" does anyone know what type of tea that actually is? I must have drank over a million cups of it. But trying actual tea would be nice

The views on this do not reflect the value this video has. Podcasts have gotten pretty bad overall lately due to just not having interesting guests and interesting topics.
People can feel authentic enthusiasm. We can all see that both of you are completely engaged and having great, thoughtful conversations. I like seeing more of the personal side of China with these things.
