Loose fan belt could cause the overheating, hence the car possible breakdown
brake system is the most important, that's why they invented the secondary piston and 2 brake lines to brake diagonally as fail safe. The main idea is using incompressible fluid, having air in the brake will defeat the purpose for sure.
They didn't have tire pressure monitor system back then to warn low pressure.
Expensive does not necessarily equate good service.

In hindsight, Clay was actually a nice guy here because he actually cared about Niki enough that he worried about the guy being lonely

The character Clay R. could be anybody. Lauda’s attitude is appropriate for the business (any business) especially the F-1 world where you actually put your life on the line to be one of the best, very best. Clay R. is butt hurt when Lauda, calls him out (for his attitude). I get it…it’s a movie and the writers apply the “dramatic” license.
You don't have to act like Lauda to win in life. But this is how he was I guess.

It really isn't. Despite being a 2+2 and having a transversely-mounted engine, it was lighter than either the Urraco or the Merak (its two main competitors), and Niki Lauda had significant input during the development, so the car handles as well as if not better than the 308 GTB/GTS that succeeded it.
