One of the many messed up things about addiction is that you will never get an answer to the “how did this happen to me?” question. It’s best not to dwell on it.
I was in a facility with Anthony stabiles son , and always wondered what stabiles role with the mob was bc he was mentioned in the movie . Thanks for sharing I’m not sure but I think I remember hearing the son passed away too after the facility

I've heard that even Gaspipe Casso was a heavy cocaine user and used to go to the basement of some restaurant and smoke it. Maybe explains why he was so violent and caught delusions about people so often.
I don’t usually chime in with questions but as a life long New Yorker born in queens raised in Brooklyn . I grew up around all the wise guys as I been working in gyms most of my life not just went down the straight and narrow . But I was curious being in the city during the 70’s and 80’s did you have interaction with the west side Irish ? Or was that strictly a Brooklyn crew . Congrats on recovery . Be well

Question: did you ever meet or heard of Sal Polisi in the early 70s?
How can I stop with my cocaine addiction but I’m going to rehab
Heck I bet the substance abuse problem was worse than the mob problem!
You cleaned your life up which a lot of people did not
That film made Tommy a mythical mob figure. Wild that you knew the real guy
