The Rock Van had the highest center of gravity & it still outperformed the rest. The CR18P based vehicles always perform very well. I have had a blast putting in well over 100+ hours time tuning & getting my Furitek - FX118 Fury Wagon fully dialed in.
Nice! We got a couple sets of the DJ Crawler 60x25 that you have in this video. They are TOO BIG for the TRX4m Bronco and Defender unless you cut out the stock fenders or really lift up the body. Also, hex extenders will make the tires swing more in the wheel well instead of just pivoting, it is like a little arm swing, especially with the 7mm hex extenders. We were bummed...but, we gave a set to our son that put them on his Injora Tarantula build for the TRX4m and they are PERFECT! Great tires. Thanks for the video and showcasing lots of different products.
great video, thanks for sharing! You could do one more free mod to the tires on the Jeep and cut them like you would the 1.9 canyon trails it makes a big difference.
Awesome comparison vid! The LC80 is my favorite. I have a yellow one with basically the same minor mods you have on yours. I am looking to get the Ascent 18 very soon, though.
Good call! Thanks for watching! At the end of the video if you made it that far, I couldn’t resist and put on some aftermarket sticky tires and it made it without effort. It was awesome.
My favorite is still the FMS too but the Traxxas ford positively surprised me where the Axial team was disappointing. I reckon the larger wheel size and longer wheel base are a big advantage on that little trap you've created :) Too bad you can't scale the track to be proportional to each vehicles' dimensions. Still very insightful. Thanks and subbed.
Yes the High Trails have been good to us 🤟🏼 We enjoy all our vehicles but I still got the LC80 on my mind, although the Rock Van always surprises me too lol.
They mentioned DJ Crawler tires at the end of the video in what looked like a bonus clip, not sure of the wheel weights, looked like 1.0 beadlocks probably with brass rings in them.
The ones we have are for 1.0” wheels, I think the stock wheels are for 1.2 or 1.3”. I recommend checking the DJ Crawlers site or their Amazon listings to see what they have for those sizes.
Super cool appreciate you sharing i’ll Watch for more
Thanks!
It amazing what some weighted wheels do for the ascent18. Changed mine drastically when I added weighted wheels & tires to mine.
Definitely!

It's an awesome one for sure!
Great video 👍 right up my street
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing feedback and insight! 🤟🏼🙏🏼
That van looked fun to drive. Didn't think it would make it nice.
Definitely good fun!

Cool idea, thanks!
yes redcat is way better with better tires .if the high trails wouldnt topple over so easy they could be much better

Right on! Thanks for checking out the video. I think the Ascent 18 is worth it!
pretty sure the ascent would have made it if you had worn in the tires a bit, they, like most, get better with use. great video too :D

What wheels weights and tires for ascent 18. I'm thinking about which ones work best

Can the dj crawler tires fit the stock cr18p wheels?
