I can’t believe his daughter recognizes the value in her childhood like that and it’s invaluable to speak about how those qualities can be rediscovered at any age and regardless of what you go through, who and what you want to be is not defined by others or the world. Acting is one thing, but in the real world you should be able to be who you are if you learn how to fight for it.
She may have misjudged her age, but I have memories from when I was 2, close to 3. They're distinct moments with strong emotions attached to them, so if it's something that made her feel scared or unsafe in a big way, I can totally understand where she's coming from.
Julie Stewart I personally know someone whose father died when she was two, and she remembers something he did that no one else remembered, before he left the house that day. It can definitely happen if the emotion is strong enough.
Unfortunately we live in a world where some people leave scars on child’s heart that somehow changes the entire perspective of the world for that child.
The point that anything that makes girls and women shine has the underbelly that it also attracts predators was very familiar. And not only does it attract predators, it provides the fodder for people to blame you for it.
God, she is REALLY pretty. I fell head over heels for her in Buster Scruggs, but she plays a young girl so well that I thought she must be 18 or so! She sounds very mature in this, but it's still like a child saying these things. Weird.
I remember a lot as a child, but to remember something so well at 2.... I mean I didn't know shit when I was 2, how the fuck does she know a man on a bus wanted "something" from her from a fucking wink.. 😒 she seems like the jumpy " everyone is out to rape me!" Type...a 2 year old doesn't even know what sex is so how she could make the relation is beyond me, unless her care taker was filling her head with shit..and before anyone gets all butthurt at my comment, I was sexually abused when I was 4, and even that I only remember parts. I'd take a fucking wink over what I went through any day 🙄
i remember a lot of things from when i was young. that was probably an awakening experience for her so that maybe the reason she has a clear memory of the incident. I think the winky face wasn't an innocent winky face, you know more like a creepy uncomfortable staring persistent "patroninzing" look . If you're a man you've probably rarely received that look, but it's a distinctive face which leaves you feeling kind of "dirty" even though you were only on the receiving hand ... I don't know if I've explained myself but it's an uncomfortable position to be in, especially when you're a kid
Babies, toddlers and children usually avoid threatening or terrible people. Where do you think that comes from? Instinctively, we all know when someone wants something wrong from us. It's usually teens and adults who reason their way out of instinctive knowings.
@@patrickbateman9410 lol you will never catch me passively winking at a child. shit's weird. also, traumatic dissociative amnesia is a thing, which causes a lot of controversy and confusion, but either way that might be something to look into. im really sorry that happened to you (I know this comment means nothing, but I still hate that things like that are able to take place).
I remember a few things from when I was 2! I know that because at the age of three my family moved away and I still remember our first apartment and when we had christmas. There are people that can think that far back! I also remember every name from every child in kindergarden
not sure why you add the passive aggressive "girl" at the end of this... gonna give u the benefit of the doubt but this "girl" is very bright and has had a very fruitful life (subjective, but still) thus far, so whatever u meant by tht is effectively nullified
There's a lot of evidence that our memory starts when we begin attaching a lot of meaning to words, which is why women tend to have earlier memories than men. If someone is highly verbal at a young age like she certainly was, she probably has a few strong memories from that age. I certainly do.
She somehow manages to keep a Vestal Virgin like innocence and look at you like... Hey, I know how to play ball at the same time. A glimpse of paradise every time I watch her.

I don't know Zoe's work, but she's very introspective and well-spoken. I'm curious to see her films/tv work now.
I know her from Ballad of Buster Scruggs and Crazy Ex Girlfriend

I wish we had such a Platform in germany. These Interviews are so amazing. So raw and human. ♥️ I love it. Great job.
i really enjoy theses videos
this was a really good interview.
I dont think her age was the point people...
Not as much as it was her gender. Being a young woman in Hollywood must really suck.
Beautiful interview
I really understand her, I think this happen like this to me too. Wow
this is so true. I think women more than man, will recognize this feeling. so scary
Shit this is so relatable
So much truth
The first time I saw her was in the movie Fracture with Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins. She had a small role, but I remember.
Ralph Macchio: “Hold my Near Beer 🍺 “
So real
"you will grow younger and your good fortune will accumulate"
I believe her.

ok.. ive found my celebrity crush!
This" show" is a joke. But she has a great set
Winky face?! What's wrong with a winky face?

wtf some guy winks at her when she's a little kid and she wildly judges his character just for that? what a toxic woman
can guarantee you she wasn't two. you don't remember 2 much, if at all. probably 4 or older. come on, girl.
I remember a few things from when I was 2! I know that because at the age of three my family moved away and I still remember our first apartment and when we had christmas. There are people that can think that far back! I also remember every name from every child in kindergarden
not every child develops equally, that's why some children start to talk at age of two and other dont talk until 4
I'm sure the point was "some super young age."

question...why does it matter?
Huh? Who remembers anything from age 2? Maybe 4 or 5

you know, if you are daft, it doesnt mean everyone else is daft.. or daft the way you are daft.
I do.

Were you the man that winked at her on the bus?
@@elizabethjwilson4746 I think THE SAME THING, man dont get it. Creepy to hear this after what she says.
you sound extra predatory. need to check that out man!!
