  • HOW WELL CAN YOUR CASSETTE DECK RECORD ON PURE CHROME TYPE II CASSETTES ? How to record at 0db on real chrome dioxide type ll cheap pre-recorded cassettes. The key to a good recording here was , lots of positive + Bias .Note hat a pre-recorded CRO2 cassette with vibrant music recorded at 120qs , will play back at 0db too SOUND .AS CAPTURED BY CAMERA.

    Great job on this video, very informative. My Onkyo TA-RW111 records true Chrome tapes at a low level too. Of course it's a Japanese deck. It really likes the Denon HD8 type 2 metal formulation. I record them at +3 or +4 and they sound freakin' great. These tapes are damn expensive and rare though. Also standard type 2s such as TDK SA and SA-X and Maxell XLII and XSII-S sound really good. As of course one would expect. I enjoyed your video on this subject very much. Keep up the great work sir. 😎👍

    recording a real chrome cassette with selector on type 1, isa very big mistake

      I know exactly how it affects the sound and the noise floor , but , please do explain your take on it....
