Lex, it is amazing to me the things I have been told, about the Bible, since I was a little kid. I became a born again Christian about 4 or 5 years ago and I have read the Bible 4 times now and am going through and studying different parts now
Slot of the things I was told over the years are not in there. All I can say is people please read the Bible for yourself!!! Your salvation depends on it!!!

David LaLond I guess whatever your preference is. I was raised Seventh Day Adventist, and they have beliefs that go against the conventional Christian teachings as well. So although I don't believe anymore, and prefer to operate more on evidence, I am still fascinated by some of the weird unbiblical teachings of mainstream Christianity. I am also interested in the history religions and the language of ancient Hebrew. So channels like this are interesting and great resources

DANG JOS sounds very similar, to me. I’m still fascinated with discovering the roots of Christianity and Judaism, within the other religions, of the ancient near east.
You may enjoy, Rabbi Ariel Bar Tzadok and the KosherTorah School, channel. Or, the channel of Rabbi Tovia Singer. Rabbi Singer is well-versed, in christianity.
The thing with the weird, unbiblical teachings, in Christianity, is that there never was one true, “original version”. Even as early as the first century, there were many Christianities, with gnosticism being the most bizarre, in my opinion.

    • @DANGJOS

David LaLond Thanks for the suggestions.
I mean yeah, I don't claim there's one true version. I just think, if one claims to be a fundamentalist, which interprets the Bible literally, then there are certain things that just seem so contrary to reasonable interpretations of the Bible, that it is odd such person believes it.
If they are non-fundamentalist, then there is much more wiggle room.

I fought this doctrine of the resurrection of the dead profusely, because it didn't line up with what I was taught about "going to heaven or hell." Tomorrow's world ministry originally told me about it, then I found Unlearn on RUclips, and I prayed to Yahweh to open my eyes to the Truth about the afterlife. The moment Yahweh opened my eyes, the Resurrection "popped up" all over the scriptures! I can't believe I never noticed the Truth until some months ago. Praise God for Lex and Tomorrow's world.

This is a very basic Biblical principle. I am thankful to have gained understanding of it. I grew up in your typical Sunday church that is spoon fed doctrine from the mainstream sources. Once I gained understanding of the Sabbath (seventh day sabbath to be clear) many of these basic Biblical truths began lining up. The fact that we don't go to heaven immediately when we die was one. Another was the fact that hell is not a place of eternal torture but rather eternal separation from God in death. This is spot on and thank you for sharing it!

I have friends and relatives that died and came back. MANY people who have had near death experiences testify that they died, went to the 3rd heaven (paradise as Paul called it), met a being of light & indescribable LOVE who participated in a life review.
The dead person relives and reviews their entire life, focusing on what they intentionally did right, and intentionally did wrong.
The are shown how their behavior affects everyone and everything around them, rippling out into the world and the consequences affecting people you don’t even know.
I believe the Bible teaches Biblical reincarnation/resurrection/transmigration.
John the Baptist was Elijah RAISED AGAIN, says Yeshua TWICE!
EVERYONE was discussing transmigration, looking for Elijah to return.
Herod thought Jesus was John the Baptist RAISED AGAIN (reincarnated).
Jesus even lived more than once according to scripture!
If you want chapter & verse, ask..
The Bible has many mistranslations in it! It was translated to stay within DOGMA.

Please keep studying the state of the dead. Satan and his imps can impersonate the dead perfectly. Satan will appear as an angel of light; he will impersonate Christ. He will quote Scripture. But, he will also misquote like he did to Christ during the temptation in the wilderness.

NO MAN hath ascended into heaven except he that DESCENDED... the son of man. These errors stem from not underdstanding much. First God is NOT in this universe. There is no place in the sky that you can point to and say if I get into a ship and fly this direction I will reach heaven. God is SPIRIT He interacts in the physical but there is no location in the physical that we can point to in any direction and declare that God lives at X. Time exists only in this physical realm (universe). If you listen to what Mary says to Yeshua when He arrives and Lazarus has passed away at no time does she ever give any indication that Lazarus is anywhere but in his grave. This is a Jewish belief of that day and prior. YOu lived, you observed, believed that God would send the messiah. You were then "gathered with your fathers" Meaning you die and await the resurrection. The idea that "you go to heaven" is a pagan belief that has been co-opted and sprinkled into the church for centuries. In fact, Mary states this very thing to Yeshua when he asks her if she believes Lazarus will rise from the dead and he answers her telling here that HE IS THE RESSURECTION AND THE LIFE

It's a nice thought that a loved on who has pass is now in "a better place " rather than them lying in a grave for a millinia. This is the problem with people wanting to hear only what makes them feel good, regardless of truth. We don't know how "resting" in the grave actually works. It could be like sometimes when you fall asleep, then wake up not realizing how much time has passed. So, seems like you just closed your eyes for a second but in actually, hours has passed. Maybe that's what it like for those that have passed....just a thought

I would exercise extreme caution when reading the apostles creed and the Nicean creed. There was some very evil things afoot at that time, and some of those things are in those early creeds. At the heart of it, men who wanted power over the church, to come between the laity and God, were changing their understanding to fit their own power grabs.
That said, this is a very good teaching, IMO.

You think you are smarter than the learned gents who penned the Apostles and Nicene Creeds.
The laity back then knew almost nothing. Many were illiterate. The Bishops were literate men with solid faith, men appointed / ordained from the 1st century Apostles / Disciples / Evangelists / Church planters. The Creeds are timeless and full of basic Christian truth in short form.

There are two resurrections. The first is at the 2nd coming of Christ where the righteous are called forth and meet Jesus in the air. The living righteous who never see death are then caught up into the sky. 1 Thess chapter 4.
The wicked dead are not raised until after 1000 years in heaven. The wicked alive at the 2nd coming died because sin is combustible material. They, too get raised with all the wicked from Cain on down to the last sinner committing the last recorded sin. See Revelation chapter 20.
Dominionism and a 1000 years on this earth is more of what we must all unlearn.

For believers death is to be away from the body and at home with the lord “So we always have confidence. We know that while we live in this body, we are away from the Lord. We live by what we believe will happen, not by what we can see. So I say that we have confidence. And we really want to be away from this body and be at home with the Lord. Our only goal is to always please the Lord, whether we are living here in this body or there with him. We must all stand before Christ to be judged. Everyone will get what they should. They will be paid for whatever they did-good or bad-when they lived in this earthly body.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:6-10‬ ‭ERV‬‬
“It would be a hard choice.
“It would be a hard choice. Sometimes I want to leave this life and be with Christ. That would be much better for me;”
    ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:23‬ ‭ERV‬‬
“I tell you this, brothers and sisters: Our bodies of flesh and blood cannot have a part in God’s kingdom. Something that will ruin cannot have a part in something that never ruins. But listen, I tell you this secret: We will not all die, but we will all be changed. It will only take the time of a second. We will be changed as quickly as an eye blinks. This will happen when the last trumpet blows. The trumpet will blow and those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we will all be changed. This body that ruins must clothe itself with something that will never ruin. And this body that dies must clothe itself with something that will never die.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:50-53‬ ‭ERV‬‬
“Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about those who have died. We don’t want you to be sad like other people-those who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died, but we also believe that he rose again. So we believe that God will raise to life through Jesus any who have died and bring them together with him when he comes. What we tell you now is the Lord’s own message. Those of us who are still living when the Lord comes again will join him, but not before those who have already died. The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. And the people who have died and were in Christ will rise first. After that we who are still alive at that time will be gathered up with those who have died. We will be taken up in the clouds and meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with the Lord forever.”
    ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:13-17‬ ‭ERV‬‬
These verses describe believers being resurrected and getting glorified bodies but then what is the point of the resurrection if we believers go to be with the lord as soon as we die it seems to me that the body of the believer stays in the grave asleep and is reunited with the our spirit/soul at the resurrection and then once we are reunited with our bodies that will be glorified and transformed into the image of Christ we will be living in the new heaven and earth with them and for the unbelievers they seem to be sent to a temporary holding place/ punishment waiting to be resurrected and judged and sent to there final destination hell
“Jesus said, “There was a rich man who always dressed in the finest clothes. He was so rich that he was able to enjoy all the best things every day. There was also a very poor man named Lazarus. Lazarus’ body was covered with sores. He was often put by the rich man’s gate. Lazarus wanted only to eat the scraps of food left on the floor under the rich man’s table. And the dogs came and licked his sores. “Later, Lazarus died. The angels took him and placed him in the arms of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried. He was sent to the place of death and was in great pain. He saw Abraham far away with Lazarus in his arms. He called, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me! Send Lazarus to me so that he can dip his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am suffering in this fire!’ “But Abraham said, ‘My child, remember when you lived? You had all the good things in life. But Lazarus had nothing but problems. Now he is comforted here, and you are suffering. Also, there is a big pit between you and us. No one can cross over to help you, and no one can come here from there.’ “The rich man said, ‘Then please, father Abraham, send Lazarus to my father’s house on earth. I have five brothers. He could warn my brothers so that they will not come to this place of pain.’ “But Abraham said, ‘They have the Law of Moses and the writings of the prophets to read; let them learn from that.’ “The rich man said, ‘No, father Abraham! But if someone came to them from the dead, then they would decide to change their lives.’ “But Abraham said to him, ‘If your brothers won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen to someone who comes back from the dead.’””
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:19-31‬ ‭ERV‬‬
Unbelievers aren’t sent to there eternal place yet but there temporary one is not a pleasant one and then everyone will be raised the good and the bad to be judged at the great white throne of judgment by jesus
“Everyone must die once. Then they are judged.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:27‬ ‭ERV‬‬

I studied revelation as a teenager, and came across the resurrection of the dead by accident. I started researching on my own into its origins, and couldn't believe what I'd found. I had never heard of such a thing before, despite being raised in the church. I asked other Christians, leaders and even my own parents, and was simply told "no, that's not right" or "that's the rapture".

DNW My premise is that the bible teaches both the bodily resurrection and souls being reunited with the body. You said you have studied revelation, so my question will come from there.
      Revelation 6
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Who are these souls from men that the scriptures say are in heaven while they wait to be avenged against men on earth?
      Revelation 6 Easy English Version
9 Then the *Lamb opened the next (fifth) *lock. And I saw a special table where people offered gifts to God. I saw the *spirits of some dead people under the table. These people had died because they had spoken about Jesus Christ. They had said that God’s words are true. Other people had killed them because they had gone on speaking about Jesus.
10 These dead servants of Christ shouted loudly. ‘ *Lord, you have all authority’, they shouted. ‘You are completely good. You always do what is right. When will you decide to do what is fair to people? You must decide about all the people who live on the earth. How much more time must pass before you decide? When will you *punish the people who killed us?’

Dorothy Bandell When you follow the scriptures historically, the story comes together. Enoch chapter 22
      Greek
5I saw [the spirit of] a dead man making suit, and his voice went forth to heaven and made suit. 6And I asked Raphael the angel who was with me, and I said unto him: 'This spirit which maketh suit, whose is it, whose voice goeth forth and maketh suit to heaven?'
7And he answered me saying: 'This is the spirit which went forth from Abel, whom his brother Cain slew, and he makes his suit against him till his seed is destroyed from the face of the earth, and his seed is annihilated from amongst the seed of men.'
In Genesis God is using Abels blood as a witness against him for the murder in a metaphorical way. Enoch says his voice cried out just as revelation does. Difference is Abels spirit was in sheol as the book says, and the souls in revelation are in heaven. Revelation chapter 4 lets you know this takes place in heaven. The bible shares this same thought as Enoch, so even if you denounce Enoch, you cant take it out of the bible

I remember learning this from a baptist church growing up in central California. My family moved and left that church when I was about ten years old and have really not heard it since. I have been a Catholic my adult life and recently decided to go attend a Pentecostal church out in the backwoods of Oklahoma since I had been invited. Not again. It was all the showmanship with two unrelated scriptures read and thirty minutes about how bad pain medicine is. I do not know what has happened to people and the neglect of the scripture.

dude, flat earthers throw out reason altogether. Lex doesn't seem to do so, but in this topic, Lex forgets many Scriptures that are problematic for his view. several have already meantioned Paul's comment, 'to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord'. but when Cain killed Abel, God says in Gen 4:10:
«And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground."» But the flat earth deception is a whole different topic where people can't even see that the sun 'rises' from the horizon so the flat earth deception doesn't even explain how the sun rises and sets at ground level every day.

My family and I have learned an ENORMOUS amount from your videos, website, conferences and books. Please keep standing strong and preaching the TRUTH as found in scripture. Ignore the naysayers and whiners! I seriously don't know how you do it.... to do what you do and then to come on here and read the comments from people who are immature and ignorant, and just want to argue and berate and debate, people who have nothing better to do with their time than just be obstinate! It is astounding, but exactly what is expected. It is only through the power and strength of the Holy Spirit and the love of Messiah in you that you ignore it and keep working the fields! HalleluYah! I thank my God daily for you and your willingness to be His mouthpiece, His voice, His servant. May Yah continue to bless you and your family. Shabbat shalom!

UNLEARN the lies We die and go straight to heaven as there are saints and those beheaded for Jesus who were already in heaven as the book of Revelation states. Some have argued they are raised up with a disembodied body, that they are souls saved by Christ, that he goes into prison to save the souls of the dead. I would have to agree with this. The Resurrection is different, because the souls who live in heaven (who accepted Jesus) will probably be given a new body, made back in his image, and what they've (the believers) have asked for. God is not the God of the dead, but of the Living and that means when you die you're saved right away! The Resurrection is a new actual body which will be immortal for the disembodied saved soul in heaven.

Reece James actually the scriptures say that the dead in Christ will rise first then the rest. It's referring to getting a glorified body as promised. Jesus said that He is going to prepare a place for us and that there will be many mansions in Heaven. This is a reference to us receiving a glorified body.
You are right. When we die our Spirits go directly to Heaven. This guy believes that we stay in the ground. That's not true. Our bodies go to the grave but again the Spirit goes to Heaven and awaits a glorified body.

. Is because they have replaced it with the rapture. The problem is that most Christians don't study the bible for themselves they depend on others to teach them in my first 7 years after I got saved I believed everything I was taught also but the more I read the bible I begin to see some contradictions to what I was taught and started to ask God for clarity and started to believe what the bible actually teaches rather than what men taught me that was wrong. Unfortunately I found out that I can't correct my pastors because they refused to accept correction they have this saying this is what we were taught and that is what we believe. Yeah but it's clear that the church has replaced the resurrection of the saints with the rapture.

First time I've heard this even though I was raised in a church, thanks for the biblical truth. I'm just a little confused about how "The dead rest in their graves until the God of the living brings them back to life at the resurrection" (7:34). If people stay in their graves after they die, how did Moses appear with Jesus on the Mount?
And why does Paul say that he has the desire to depart through death to be be with Jesus, if we don't go to be with God when we die but rather wait until the resurrection?
"For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better." (Philippians 1:21-23)

Yes, the resurrection of the body is neglected for some reason and upon it hangs the faith as you mention in 1 Cor. 15. Yet, the departed spirits go to Paradise after death to await its body's resurrection on earth. Hebrews 12:23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, *and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,* These spirits are those Paul speaks of in 1 Thess. 4:14 who will come with Jesus at his return:" For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so *God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.*

KJV Holy Scriptures Excellent. I have posted and asked context questions on these scriptures to lex and some that share his belief. They don't address the context. They commit the either or fallacy. The bible teaches that man is the soul and man has an inner soul, but they only hold to man being the soul. I understand lex's reasoning behind his belief. Lex belief that man doesn't have an inner soul comes from emotions tied to loosing his uncle and grappling with understanding after that. Lex is absolutely correct in saying man is the soul, but absolutely incorrect in teaching that's it. There's a lot of omission going on with this topic, but it's not new. I came from a church that teaches man has no inner soul, and they are one of the biggest, successful churches out, but when pressed with questions that oppose their view, they have no answer, and all they will do is deny definitions, bible context, and bible history in favor of biased research. Lex is no different because he didn't make this doctrine up, so it's not an attack on him. The doctrine of soul sleep is full of holes.

UNLEARN the lies I too believe you have to twist scriptures to address this topic because of your belief that man is only the soul because of that you have to ignore the fact that the breath of life has TWO components, the air we breath and divine inspiration/inner soul in it. All of hebrew history supports this and the bible backs it up. Now, I expect you to ignore me, but here we go.
      Josephus book 1 Chapter 1
      2. Moreover Moses, after the seventh day was over, (3)begins to talk philosophically; and concerning the formation of man says thus: that God took dust from the ground, and formed man, and inserted in him a spirit and a soul. (4) This man was called Adam: (Josephus understood the breath of life had two components)
      Jasher 43
28 Arouse now and see how bitter is my trouble for thee my son, although I did not rear thee, nor fashion thee, nor give thee breath and soul, but it was God who formed thee and built thy bones and covered them with flesh, and breathed in thy nostrils the breath of life, and then he gave thee unto me. (Joseph understood the breath of life had two components)
      Job 34
14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath; note
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
(Job understood man was made of three components, spirit/breath, inner soul, body which turns to dust).

    • @jeffreylewis2029
      @jeffreylewis2029 6 лет назад +4

UNLEARN the lies I can repeatedly show this in hebrew history, and the bible, yet you say, the hebrews NEVER thought this way. 2 Corinthians 5 is a huge problem for the sould sleep believer because the context and definitions put soul sleep to sleep. Paul clearly says he desires to be absent from the body. That right there lets the reader know the body is not the topic there. Paul talks of both, an inner soul that leaves the body and a spiritual body. When you address this, PLEASE use the definition of tabernacle that Paul refers to. Please dont do biased research.

Remember what Jesus said to the repentant criminal hanging on the cross next to Him. Today you will be with me in Paradise. At the return of Jesus, the body will be resurrected. • @ShayPatrickCormacTHEHUNTER
      @ShayPatrickCormacTHEHUNTER 6 лет назад +4

Nope... All applies. Messiah died so that we can start the covenant over again.. Because a divorced woman cannot be married to her first husband. Messiah died and was ressurected and we die through trust and obedience in Messiah and so we start the same covenant over again. But like a new version based on obedience through trust rather than obedience with no trust like the first (even though the prophets obeyed trough trust... Common people didn't).. That's all that changed. Sacrifice still is in effect... In fact we will offer sacrifices in the third temple during the millennial reign. Read ezekiel.

The Resurrection is the very reason why Jesus came into the world. Many people believe that when a person dies their "immortal" soul immediately goes to heaven or hell. This is why they can't appreciate the concept of The Resurrection. During The Resurrection life will be restored to the dead. They'll be brought back to life.

EvedYahu: I have spoken with some of the people at Jews for Jesus. I sincerely feel that they are on the right track in that they recognize Yeshua as The Messiah. But they're big believers in the immortal human soul, hellfire, and the trinity. I can't go back to that way of thinking. It took me a long time to arrive at my current understanding of things. I know that Lex believes in the trinity and I respect that. But at least we agree on the state of the dead as well as the fact that God doesn't burn people in hell forever. I'm thankful for that.

Satan’s greatest ambassadors are not pimps, politicians, or power-brokers, but pastors.
His priests do not peddle a different religion, but a deadly perversion of the true one.
His troops do not make a full-out frontal assault, but work as agents, sneaking into the opposing army.
Satan’s tactics are studied, clever, predictable, effective. Therefore, we must always remain vigilant.

At It Again thanks for taking the time to talk with me. I'm going to jump over to 2 Corinthians 5:9. Now the whole passage here is talking about absent from the body and pleasing to the Lord, which would make sense under the carnal vs spiritual interpretation you cited in reguards to the originally referenced passage. It also make sense under the interpretation found in most orthodox Christianity, where it refers to the body being distinct from the soul. What makes nine special is that it cannot be interpreted both ways and ties the passage directly into one intended interpretation. Check it out,
"So we make it our goal to please him. Whether we are at home in the body or away from it."

We die and sleep waiting for the resurrection. The pagan belief that people die and go strait to the "otherworld" is obviously not Christian. There are some people who were taken directly to heaven but the norm is death, sleep, resurrection. Jesus will send His angels down to the earth to take up His people when He returns. That's biblical.

However, Hebrews 9:27 may support the assertion that no man was ever taken to heaven. Descended means "came down from". When He returns He will not come down to earth but His angels will to retrieve His Bride, the saved.

The very essence of the gift that is the blood sacrifice Yeshua made for us is that we ARE NOT PERFECT. No one has all the answers, and these extremes of calling different interpretations of scripture "lies" or "denial of the Gospel" just because they don't agree with you is a misguided focus on your own opinion over the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.
Be open to learning about Scripture, not taking sides against others over who is smarter at interpreting it.
Yeshua said that He, Himself, was the only Way. He never said we had to or even could understand everything.

If there was a blood sacrifice then Yeshua would have preached it in His lifetime. He never preached it because it is a man-made doctrine and a damnable LIE of the Adversary to take people's eyes off the TRUTH of the Resurrection of the dead and Yeshua's teachings of how to live in the "here and now" which are all written in the Gospels. That doctrine was started by the proxy bishops who were subservient to Constantine the Great in an attempt to eliminate REAL Christianity and replace it with a Romanized fake. Check the OT in the Law and the Prophets human sacrifice is named as an abomination. YHWH never changed His mind on this!!!!!

We do not death sleep. Not the "bride of Chist". We are dead in our transgressions until, because of our faith in Jesus our savior, when we accept him he transforms our spirit right here on earth. Unless you are not born again, then it's a different deal. Reread Jesus conversation with Nick regarding being born again. It's a mystery as not knowing where the wind comes from and where it goes to. Jesus said to the thief next to him. "surely today you will be with me in paradise". He did not tell him, be kool dude you will go to sleep today for a very long time until I come back, then I will take you with me. The dead that didn't rise when Jesus died (read the eyewitness accounts kind of scary) arose will raise from the dead as mentioned, because their spirit was not "born again" yet. Reread conversation with Nick. A more in depth study than just your interruption of scripture is required. Its referring to dead works. Always cross reference with the Hebrew words. Paul said to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. He wanted to and was ready to die and be with Jesus but he argued it's better to stay for a little while longer to teach the church. Our body is corruption because if our fallen nature, but we put on incorruption (being born anew) when we come to Christ Jesus and that is why its call being born again. Sounds like you are believing JW man made doctrinal beliefs. Repent of all of your sin and believe in the finished work of christ Jesus, put on Jesus and you shall be saved. And because your are now born of above, repent daily keep your heart clean and thank God for his son and your salvation. We were once spirit because of sin we were no longer perfect spirit, after we are born from above we become enlightened spirit that lives in a body that is driven by a soul (mind 'heart' the essence of man) jesus body could not corrupt, the soul that sins dies, he gave up his spirit. He died sinless but going the way of the sinner for you and me taking on sin allowing him to take back the legal power over death from the evil one, that took the power from Adam. Jesus is the first born the new Adam so to speak

But this is a good thing to bring attention to--the Resurrection of the Dead. And no one ever teaches on baptisms for that.

I don’t understand why people claim that they accepted the Lord, that’s false doctrine. To first be saved, you MUST have a broken heart and a contrite spirit, there’s more to it than just accepting the Lord. I begged and pleaded for salvation, when I finally realized I couldn’t save myself and no one else could save me, that’s when joy replaced that awful feeling. And yes there is going to be a resurrection of the dead, when a saved souls body dies, that soul goes to a rest, then when the Lord returns on the clouds of glory and an angel puts one foot on land and one the sea and declareth by him that lives forever that time shall be no more, we which are alive and remain shall be changed in a moment and twinkling of an eye, and the dead shall be raised and we’ll all leave together with the Lord

I know this video has a little age on it but I only run across these every now and then. I do appreciate them. As i watched the video I kept expecting the following from Matthew 27. "50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
    51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many." This always made it perfectly clear to me. I must admit that in all my years of church attendance I've never heard this passage preached on, even at Easter. Now, the problem I have with this account is that it dead ends. It doesn't account for what happened to these holy men who rose from their tombs. Were they taken up into heaven, live on, or crawl back into their graves that night? Maybe this is why preachers avoid this passage. And of course The Bible is not all encompassing. Maybe this happened elsewhere and was not witnessed or recorded.

From reading the comments, the argument between the Sadducee and the Pharisee continues to this day. The idea of God's throne room being filled with human ghosts playing harps and acting like angels for all of eternity is a difficult myth to dispel. It's not Biblical, but it's an image we are given as children to help deal with the idea of physical death. It is so comforting as a child that the image becomes entrenched in our foundation beliefs.
