Really disappointed in the SUPER high fees in dealing with Exodus. I came over from Binance where there was no fees for many of the transactions I was used to doing but I guess I have a lot to learn about wallets then. Binance wasn’t a wallet I guess. Got destroyed in fees for buying a small amount of BTC and ETH with USDC today and also was not able to buy at the price I intended because my price wasn’t locked in at the time of making the exchange but only when it gets processed. 😢

I have 5 crypto accounts all over the place but I have recently decided to consolidate holdings down a bit to minimize risk. I always assumed I had to keep my coins on some of these sites to be able to stake while holding. I love the Exodus / Trezor combo and the built in staking capability of Exodus. @@CoinBureau You can use as many passphrases as you want thus removing the armed robbery possibility. Simply unlock an account that holds less crypto. You can also create a kill pin with the Trezor.
Why not use Electrum? You can have a wallet containing your private keys on an offline air-gapped computer and a different watch wallet on an online computer containing only the public addresses. You can create a transaction using the online computer, save it to a USB drive, take it to the offline computer, sign the transaction, bring it back to the online wallet to broadcast the transaction. It's a little extra work, but you can be sure that your private keys are never exposed. Electrum lets you import multiple paper wallet addresses into a single wallet, so you don't have to bring them into a traditional seeded wallet.

The nano S has a reallllyyy small storage. Many stories of people getting their ETH, BTC and then trying to put on ADA and it said there was enough space. The X is definitely the better one if you want more than 2 coins really

I've gone through many external hard drives over the years, losing a lot of data. What happens if this hard wallet goes down or malfunctions? Do you loose everything?
@Tony Bryan I'm catching on slowly. I figure if I have the key copied down on paper or on an external drive, separate from the wallet then I should be able to access my coin even if the hardware brakes. The coin isn't in the hardware, it's on the blockchain data from what i can gather...

Really disappointed in the SUPER high fees in dealing with Exodus. I came over from Binance where there was no fees for many of the transactions I was used to doing but I guess I have a lot to learn about wallets then. Binance wasn’t a wallet I guess. Got destroyed in fees for buying a small amount of BTC and ETH with USDC today and also was not able to buy at the price I intended because my price wasn’t locked in at the time of making the exchange but only when it gets processed. 😢

If the budget is your priority and you have an old phone you do not use anymore, there is also airgap vault and wallet (android) : you install the vault part on the old phone on which you disable all network. You make transaction using qrcode between phones.

@@geniedoll3822 it is like the cobo vault, you can search video on it, you prepare and sign transactions using qrcode. Cobo vault / ledger are still better than an old phone because they have a secure element that protect the seed. With an old phone, make sure you keep control of it at all time

to be fair, as shitty as banking regulation is, they have 80 plus years of rules as a foundation and alot of screw ups to learn from (or ignored). the only sales point on storing your money in a bank these days is relative security due to regulation.

I have 5 crypto accounts all over the place but I have recently decided to consolidate holdings down a bit to minimize risk. I always assumed I had to keep my coins on some of these sites to be able to stake while holding. I love the Exodus / Trezor combo and the built in staking capability of Exodus. Being able to sync across PC and mobile is also fantastic. Thanks for the informational video.
For the trezor, it is recommended to add a passphrase (aka 25th word), so the kraken attack doesn't work

Why not use Electrum? You can have a wallet containing your private keys on an offline air-gapped computer and a different watch wallet on an online computer containing only the public addresses. You can create a transaction using the online computer, save it to a USB drive, take it to the offline computer, sign the transaction, bring it back to the online wallet to broadcast the transaction. It's a little extra work, but you can be sure that your private keys are never exposed. Electrum lets you import multiple paper wallet addresses into a single wallet, so you don't have to bring them into a traditional seeded wallet.

Exodus is a scam my crypto was stolen, it's showing transactions that I never made , I'm just glad that I only invested 50 bucks in bit coin

Nah exodus is out here robbing people and I've sent multiple emails to exodus support and they still haven't responded to my email and this was weeks ago
@Log SplittaExodus is a scam and they're don't care about a damn reputation they care about making money any way they can even if it means stealing it, I had that little 50 bucks on their wallet for 3 years and all of a sudden the wallet account goes to zero? Nah that doesn't make sense it just means that Exodus are petty thieves, I got other crypto wallets and all of the money is still there, so explain that, why are my other crypto wallets still have the money in them except for Exodus? I'm keep spreading the word about Exodus wallet , I'm just glad that it was only 50 bucks and I'll never keep any serious money in a crypto wallet online or hardware wallet especially since crypto doesn't have a SEC to go to. And you're the stupid dumbass thinking that you can't get got hardware wallets have been getting hacked too and I'm good that 50 bucks i invested didn't hurt my finances one bit.
There are so many people that have faced hacks in Meta Mask. I myself faced that. There were many like me who faced this issue in Google chrome, they all were posting that post on their site. Later they closed the post and restricted any further inputs to it. I lost more than $ 2000 worth of coins. Cant trust them ever again. But there is no alternative to it on some sites.

I've gone through many external hard drives over the years, losing a lot of data. What happens if this hard wallet goes down or malfunctions? Do you loose everything?
@Tony Bryan I'm catching on slowly. I figure if I have the key copied down on paper or on an external drive, separate from the wallet then I should be able to access my coin even if the hardware brakes. The coin isn't in the hardware, it's on the blockchain data from what i can gather...
Once you keep safe your back up code, you have nothing to worry about your coin in your wallet

Exodus on Android required internet connection to create a wallet. Shady! Impossible to use as a cold wallet. MyEthereumWallet, MetaMask, Atomic, Samurai, Mycelium don't require internet.
I agree on Atomic Wallet. Have been using it for a while and on or offline is solid.
i have to use internet connection in order to loggin to atomic wallet.. why? so that mean it's still at risk of an attacked from viruses right? also it doesnt offer 2fa
