The lost legion final box was cool, for $20 you got the last 10 or so unboxed minis, another map, and the promo cards. It was just on the ffg website. There were map packs announced but never happened you can find on amazon in a tiny pic
From what I was reading, having recalled this from ages ago while discovering proper Mutant Chronicles recently (as opposed to the movie), it sounds like they were originally planning on blind boxes (like D&D Miniatures, Star Wars Miniatures, Lord of the Rings Tradable Miniatures Game, etc), but backlash resulted in them backing up in favor of the set boxes (more akin to Heroscape) comparatively late into production.
Thank you for reviewing the game. I’ve been watching the Mutant Chronicles Lore you’ve been releasing. Great stuff! In my opinion, the game was very underrated. It’s actually a lot of fun. I read that it only lasted a year and that was due to a lot of factors. I heard they had a lot of delays with the manufacturing which put them way behind schedule, which made them switch from Booster packs to open window to hopefully get some more traction. They also ended up releasing some of Ilian but never got to imperial. If you go to the Fantasy flight page for MC they have all the unreleased cards and figs. I’m still playing MC CMG and have been working on making 3D terrain etc. to make the game more updated. You can see it @rickyscreativecorner if interested. Overall, it’s one of my go-tos, that and Heroscape lol. Not sure if you remember that one but it was a lot of fun too!! I wish they could have done more. I actually dig the scale but I’m probably one of the few lol. Love to here your thoughts after you play. It’s definitely unique trying to pick cards, minis and orders but it adds to the strategy piece. Thanks again!!
The Doomtrooper game is the only console release I know of. There was an RTS in development that died in development called Warzone Online. Now there is an excellent digital version of the Doomtrooper CCG by Secret Cow Level. It is free to play at store.steampowered.com/app/723410/Doomtrooper_CCG/
Just bought a second hand (but still sealed) copy of this starter set. Had never heard of it before, and I'm a sucker for odd and short-lived games. Tbh though, I don't think I'm going to play the actual game that much, I'll probably cannibalize it and use the stuff for RPG adventures instead.
Unfortunately, it only lasted a few years after it was first published in 2008. eBay and OOP online shops like Noble Knights may still have some sealed starter sets and miniatures. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=mutant+chronicles+miniatures+game&_sacat=0 Let me know if you get a copy!
@@UpturnedTable making a vid for a game that old made me hope lol my first contact with mutant chronicles was a box of warzone 2th edition back in the 90s. Grate work best of wishes
It was a blast, a fun game ruined by poor decisions sadly. This was going to be collectible initially. But FFG caved at the last minute, and made their boxes fixed components. It did not work, and the odd large scale wasn't helpful either. I ended up giving all my minis to my friends toddler son. They have fought a lot of battles on his kitchen floor.
I also found out about MC CMG back in 2008 when I found the starter pack at a gas station for $5😂

Mutant Chronicles 1st edition RPG looks the most interesting so far.
I miss MC and AT-43m hope we get 3D prints, I know Heroscapers have made some At-43 3D prints for units

Mutant Chronicles had more video games than Super Nintendo and Megadrive?

Is it still in production? Where I can buy if I am interested?
