Dear Evan Hansen is a show that has a VERY special place in my heart, as I consider listening to the soundtrack to be the moment I officially became mature, but it PALES in comparison to this masterpiece. I sadly discovered my love of the theatre too late to see this show, and every year I beg for a revival. Dust and Ashes is a masterpiece, the latter half of the second act is chilling, and the rest of the show is wildly fun! But I am convinced this show WILL return. One day, we will crowd into the theatre, take our egg shakers, and visit the opera once more! Till then, we always have the songs!

i havent seen the show but a couple of my friends (they all went to different showings) said that either he did cry, or he was trying hard not to, not even a staged cry, real emotions man
After 3 years, I'm still here. Crying my eyes out and hoping this show to come back. I always promised myself I would play Natasha and now, Rewatching this after 3 years breaks me heart. Especially hearing my sweet, teddy bear Lucas cry again. ❤😭

If you look closely...Rachel Chavkin and her partner are in the pit right next to Lucas. Lucas points to that pit when he sings “wish me luck”. MY HEART
the thing about it that infuriates me the most is they didn’t do any promo for oak at all. i went to oak’s second show and ingrid was pretty new as well. i saw posters all over new york for ingrid. not a SINGLE sign, poster, ANYTHING for oak. i mean, he was in hamilton!!!! how abt advertising that?? ppl who can’t afford to see hamilton could go see it!!!! but they didn’t.

And that was probably the big problem, too, if that's the case... Maybe if it was better advertised they would've gotten better sales and wouldn't have had to do the Mandy thing and never would've had to close (at least not then)
