Purplefire0796 the only thing about a tour is just the way the show is set up. If they did a tour they would have to change a lot since the show even before it was on broadway was done in the rounds.

I failed as a human being by not being able to make it out to see Great Comet. This show is so brilliant and it deserved so much more than what it received. It is nice to see the community of people that this show has brought together.

JackieBear with the way the show is performed, I feel that a recording would miss parts, unless there are multiple cameras set up throughout the stage and audience. Then you'd need to have waivers for the people who might be on camera when the cast interacts with them.

Dave Malloy man, he created one of the best broadway shows I've ever seen.
I am truly saddened by The Great Comet closing. It is a brilliant work of art. The cast is so friendly and appreciative of their fans. I saw the show 7 times with the last one Saturday night--Sunday's show was sold out. Each time I saw something I hadn't seen before. I hope that the Comet's orbit continues to cross my path. Here's to Happiness, Freedom and Life.

One of the highlights of this last performance for me was Rachel Chavkin and Sam Pinkleton were the last two people to sit down at a table onstage, presumably to sort of sneak on so they wouldn't be bothered, and as soon as they were recognized almost the entire theater stood up and started applauding. It always gets me how much of what made Comet special boiled down to the visions of people like them.
Can we just appreciate Lucas and Brittain holding hands around 4 mins.and not letting go until the end of the speech ;=;!!!
So sad the show closed though.. THE SHOW DESERVES TO RUN FOREVER

And also, let me just say that all of you deserved better. I am so sorry you had to get caught in this casting controversy mess. It is so unfortunate that this amazing cast had to suffer this fate.
But let us not dwell on the past. Because although your time on Broadway was short, you touched the hearts of so many people, including mine. Believe me when I say that this show will not be forgotten for a very long time. What you did was completely unique. We need more shows like this on Broadway. Shows with unique concepts and unique casts. Shows that push boundaries without being afraid of what other people might say. That is what Great Comet was. And I loved every minute of it.
So I leave you with a quote from Doctor Who (my favorite TV show of all time) because it really fits this moment, "The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant." God bless you all!

Today marks the three year annianniversary of this show's closing.
It's been over a month and I'm still absolutely heartbroken over this. Yet, it also felt somewhat surreal. There was so much praise, and then things slowly started going downhill until it finally closed. I'm still very sad about this, but even if it's incredibly late, I wish the cast good luck for the future :')

My favorite character is princess Mary, I wish her role was larger. Gelsey bells voice is phenomenal
This is so incredibly disappointing that this show is now gone from broadway. Dave Malloy and everybody involved with this production are so beyond talented. What crazy minds can spew this much creativity from set design to each individual chord in the music. This is truly unique and now my #1 favorite musical of all time, and there are A LOT of musicals to choose from. The funniest part is that this is 70 pages from war and piece! There is a lot more story to be told you guys, read it. The story and of course the musical are just one of a kind. Can't wait to see the revival one day!

Apparently there is discussion of a tour, but I think the earliest it could be would be 2019. And I think the show is under audit (the Broadway run took on debts from previous productions), so a tour may hinge on how that goes, too. I'm with you, though! I'd love to see this in a tent production (I'm not sure it would have the same feel if it was just performed in a theater like most touring productions are)!
I hope this performance was recorded. I just need this show in my life forever.
