A 3-fer Saturday... =] Thanks, Davie... reminds me of the old days... finding tying materials dead along the road and going down to the chicken abattoir for neck hackle before chickens came in only one color. Nearly gone memories... Mike
Great tutorials on using the pigeon, magpie, and jackdaw found single feathers. Jackdaw fine tail feather fibers made a good looking herl for the fly body. Three quick effective looking patterns. Thank you Davie.
Thank you for another set of great videos Davie! I live in New York, so your wings from a pigeon feather reminded me of when I first started tying. There are a lot of pigeons here in New York, so I would collect all the nice pigeon feathers I could find to start tying. I haven't been tying that long, but your videos always teach me so much. Though my flies are not the prettiest, they do catch fish and all the inspiration is from you. My wife and I are heading out to Scotland next week (Skye). I tied a bunch of your UK patterns, and I am so excited to try them out there in Scotland! Thank you for all of your great videos Davie. All the best. Orlando from New York.
Lovely fly and a nailed on killer. Seen so many variations to this pattern but was a favourite on Loch Leven years ago. The shuttle cock version is popular on Rutland. These old flies should never be forgotten.
I just watched the three videos Davy, they were beautiful. I'm more like that old Kenny Everett character that always made a balls up. I get by though. I did consider making a comedy fly tying channel called Ian Mcfail. We'll see.

Great way to use the feather like that for the body. You never stop to amaze me.
Always a joy to watch you work pal.
The thing about these classics wing flies, they are almost better when wings had split…. Again, great tying. Thanks!

Hallo Davie, sehr schöne Fliegen! Die Coffin Caddis ist ein Muster das auch in unseren Fliessgewässer sehr gut ist. Grüsse aus Nidau CH, Peter
