I was a fan of the Split Pad Compact for a while, but the Mobapad M6 HD blows it out of the water. It's the big, comfortable set of Joy-Cons I always wanted from Nintendo but never got. And the Xbox Series-style d-pad is a nice bonus.
Ended up settling for some mobapad joycons but videos like these really helped me out, they're very informative and give me the info I needed to hear about the nitro deck and the hori split pad. Also, off topic note, you have a really nice beard, take good care of it.
I use the Mobapad M6 Gemini. I like it a lot. The buttons are clicky which is unique. Supports a lot of the features others do not. It’s comfortable for me, though closer to the size of the Split Pad pro.
I did a custom joycon shell for my joycons and I’m selling it. I’m buying the Hori splitpad compacts but idk what color red or dark blue. Or the gray that comes with the middle piece
Not interested in a “sled.” To each their own though. I do have the HORI split pad compacts and they are nice to use. Would love it to have amiibo support, but really that only applies to a very small selection of games for me. Also, I noticed the book you used in your vid, I just got The Game Console 2.0 book today in the mail and looking forward to going through it!
Just got a V1 Switch a few days ago (wanted to mod). I love that Nitro Deck, US SNES style is the best look for devices. With an 18 month on (congrats on your baby) I can't get one now $$$$. When I play Red Dead Redemption I get 2-2.5 hours of game time. Nitro Deck seems very useful for many people...especially us on the V1 with our more energy hungry cpu. Good review..subbed.
I really just want a great set of split pads that are as comfortable as modern Xbox and PlayStation controllers for when I’m playing handheld. The ROG Ally’s buttons really made me hate the little ibuprofen buttons on the Joycons. On a scale of 1-10 how hard is it to play with the NYXI Wizard in handheld form? 😅 AWESOME awesome video man!
I was using nitro deck + for the last few weeks, and then I put it back in the original nitro deck yesterday.. To my surprise... It felt smaller than the newer + version. It felt more sleek and comfortable in my hands... maybe its a wear and tear thing and it just feels too new to me at the moment... idk.
I got the Nitro Deck on sale and wow it is not good for fps. Woke up the next day pain in my elbow and shoulder on the right side. Just bad idea for fps games.

I always preferred sliding in Joycon alternatives to the sled type

@@Jdcoffeepodcast they should have made it as big as the Wii U controller and fix the layout. Plus this thing isn't child hand size friendly.
