I like how its totally OK for Erlang Shen to be a pure jungle warrior but one season of Ravanna in the jungle as a warrior and they trashed him into assassin.
i never understood this either. i mean ravana had a niche in solo but was better as a jungler. erlang was SUPER good in solo a few seasons ago but his role as a jungler is just infinite times better.
They need to move Ravana back to a Warrior.

@@suppmydiff3257 he actually does to me. A lot of dmg. The root the dmg with his 1. His 2 is good for bit of movenemnt same as ult and yeah well his passive is kinda warrior related but yesh itd goed 't have it as a jungler too for extra hp
I feel like the magic ADCs should’ve shared a spot, rather than having them each take a spot on the list. That would’ve left more space for things like Cthulhu, who has no essentially no support capability despite being a guardian, or mages like Zhong or Baron who are traditionally played more in solo than in mid.
That's reasonable for sure. Perhaps I could do a part 2 of ones that are more boundary pushers rather than absolute class breaks.

@@Inters3ct You mentioned Morrigan in the video but I'd say she belongs on the list since she breaks every semblance of class boundaries lol. She literally has a choice of 39 abilities in any given conquest match, more if there are stance changers.

I was really expecting Hades to be on the list. He was quite literally a guardian for years before they stapled the mage tag on him and tweaked some of his base numbers + scaling around
Yeah I played ranked yesterday and picked gilga hoping one of my solo/jungle would want him. But solo didn’t see my message till after he picked hades and I told him I’ll support hades. all I built for defense was hide, mantles and pythag and it worked so well🤣
Hades is honestly more of a magical warrior tbh
He wants to be built bruiser asf. Deals most of his damage in melee range and tries to leverage early pressure into an easy lategame

I love gods that break class; it means there is much more flexibility in play than just picking any random god in it's class. You can choose to play somewhere inbetween mage/assassin if you want for instance.
the gameplay of just ka when talking about ten other gods is kinda shaky. itd be cool if you showed gameplay of the actual god when talking about them. just my opinion. and im not a youtuber or an editor so i wouldnt know how much time and effort goes into editing so i cant say much. thanks so much for all the knowledge my man!
Most of the time I simply don't have the time to spare to play 10 matches of smite since I post roughly every 3 days. I do try to do that with ones that I have a bit more time to work on though.

Nah she works better as backline support. Makes that actual supports job much easier.
i always say shes a late game supp with supportive damage (as in shes played mid/solo laning fase but kinda swaps to a second support late game)

Ravana: he plays so much like an assassin that they actually changed his class in-game. (Ik there's a few others as well)
The funny thing is they say "oh, everyone was playing Ravana in jungle" so we just made him an assassin, but its totally ok that Erlang has been a prime jungle pick since release, we will keep him a warrior. Their logic makes no sense. Right now its Warrior Jungle meta, guess all the warriors are gonna be assassins now.

Hades (Guardian - Mage)
Nemesis (warrior - assassin)
Ravana (warrior - assassin)
Vulcan (Guardian - Mage)
Tsuku might as well be an adc as well because those long range autos are chunky af when he's late game

@@MrChaosWeapon yeah, i do, that was next lvl shit and Hi-Rez fixed it real quick, some bugs and items are too strong to be keept alive and hi-rez notices these asspects in BMT's videos not competitive play
"Not talking about your friend who's silver who plays Jorm support" honestly this cracked me up.
Actually played against a decent Jorm support today. He body blocked perfectly and rotated to other lanes on cue. They lost inevitably but he did a really great job at support.
I think for most roles it's kind of brainless picks. But depending on your mmr and team comp a clutch pick can win you the game.

Very interesting. There aren't that many more that break their designs fully. You can cross some pretty interesting boundaries. Wonder when/if we will get an Hunter/Assassin with an execute, something different than a ranged Assassin. Or a Guardian/Assassin with an execute. Just have an entire team with executes, scary thought.
Guardians and executes don't align very well, but i do think a hunter is possible
I remember that League of Legends has specifically a character that fits what you describe: Pyke. As a support (or in this case, guardian) it likes to roam a lot to other lanes, has an execute and its playstyle is closer to an assassin than a guardian, but it has good crowd control and catching tools, so it fills the "agressive playstyle support" very well. The execute gives full gold to you and the last ally that dealt damage to the target or, if you activated the ability and the target died before it hit, you get full kill gold as well. The thing that balances the guy out is the fact that he can't increase his HP with items, only with levels, meaning that he's very squishy.
@@victorrosolino8522 I do agree it doesn't align well but if you had the right god you could it without feeling clunky. Something like Charon(ferrymen of the dead) or a lesser known death god from one of the lesser known pantheons. I have no ideas what is in the Voodoo or Polynesian pantheon you might find something in there that's the right fit.
@@jettblade imo Charon should be a guardian and take Hades Ult and silence. Kinda like how they gave Hun batz Sun Wukong's old kit
@@suppmydiff3257 I don't think it would have the right feel though. Charon would seem like he would be a little bit more mobile being, so a new kit work probably be better. I feel it would be good for him to be an guardian with an execute because he ferries the dead, whether they want to go or not. I'm sure that if they decided to do something like Wukong to Hades they could find a better candidate elsewhere. I actually really like that they've done that because you can keep the kit and update the god. If they every did that to Zeus his shield toss would be interesting on a hunter, it would have to be a new hunter that doesn't use traditional projectiles kinda like Chernobog.
Should’ve put all of the Mage ADCs in one spot together IMO. All of the magical ADCs have a decent bit of overlap in their playstyle & builds, and giving each of them a spot on the list takes up a lot of space when there are other gods potentially being left out.
Camazotz should have been given a spot as a Solo lane bruiser, as opposed to a typical assassin.
Hades and Zhong Kui as well, for their close-range damage & lifesteal-heavy bruiser gameplay.
Also, honorable mention to Chiron, who is insanely ability-based like a Mage.
And sort of Fenrir as well, who was really notable as Support for some time & is a decent solo.

A video about what pantheon is the best overall(aka the most versatility and effectiveness overall) would be great video and I think inters3ct would be the only smite youtuber that could do it. Especially based on how unique his videos usually are.
Let’s not forget about Zhong who’s design feels like it’s for any role other than mage. Mostly known for his solo lane viability, his double autos lend themselves well to a semi carry playstyle as well. And his stun, slow, sustain, and defensive passive makes for a half decent support as well
Missed the opportunity of making some honorable mentions for Thor, Nemesis and Ravana that went pass the warrior breaking point and became assassins, or Hades and Vulcan that went from guardian to mage, or maybe Guan Yu that went from guardian to warrior XD. Don't know if i missed any other cases (?). Was a nice little video, cheers~

I was hoping to see Achilles here as an Achilles main myself. I play him Solo, Jung and Support and he feels super viable in all three being able to peel super well in support with his stuns and threat of an execute as well as his procs and healing steroid hiving him survivability, of course having and execute and double dash for jungle, and his entire kit just work really well as an in your face solo.
I would have Cabrakan on number 1, because I feel like Guardian and Assassin are the most polar opposite classes in the game, and Cabrakan manages to be a Guardian Assassin!
At least Cabra is still tanky enough, and his control abilities do a great support. Jorm is just pure damage.
When someone picks Ao as mage for joust 🤢 🤢
When Rav was released I picked him in a joust and absolutely mopped the floor with the enemies. It's not the god, it's the player.

@@Tonaldo90 he surprisingly kinda works with a tank build, he still has acceptable damage and abuses stone of fall but thats a very janky playstile

@@suppmydiff3257 i mean i am not good enough to play anything against really good players, against players on my skill level i can still play it, but i can definetly see that its not that good, its just extremly unexpected and changes the playstile of everyone basically so you sometimes surprise a team
Skadi is genuinely a Physical Mage.
Zhong is one of those mages who doesn't play as much like a mage, his nuke ability relies on him being close in and comboing, he has high base health and his passive and ult are based around keeping him alive longer so he can tank and deal AoE control. He honestly can play more like a warrior, and actually suffers if you don't give him some defence early (Like a warrior style build), as he can't survive the nukes of mages as he sets up his combo. Playing against any conventional Mage in mid Zhong needs to be very good to win lane, as he will get constantly poked. The only other mage I can think of who relies on combo for damage as much as Zhong is Au Puch, who can stay a good way back to do pretty much all his stuff.
Hades, although he isn't usually in midlane, although neither is Zhong, they both are classified by Hirez as bruiser mages or tanky mages. It's funny, they actually changed Zhongs, Ao, Hades stats to reflect that they are close range mages, too

Ao Kuang is def #1 most unique creation imo.
Been goofing with friends in Jorm jungle and I don't think we've lost when I picked him yet. It is only because of his recent buffs tho
If a good jungle on a meta god like Kali vsed you trust me you would and easily. As soon as they notice the Jorm jungle pick they can just waltz up into your jungle and just bend you over. You just don't have the cool downs and nuking ability a assassin has intrinsically w/o items especially at the start. Yes I know Jorm 2 especially amped by venom pools can hurt a lot as a diamond Jorm on 2 accounts I exploit it too but
If the enemy jungle ACTUALLY tries to invade you, counter gank, and apply pressure on your other team mates trust me you will crumble under that weight.

I once read somewhere that Cerb was designed as a warrior all the way up until release when his damage was changed from physical to magical. Any truth to this?

I was thinking Izanami for her assassin capability. You run two attack speed/crit and 2 lifesteal. Your beefy tank build will be devoured by Iza.
I've had more issues with Iza than Artemis or even Tsuko.
Gilgamesh is more of an assassin that a solo, Ceberus and Cthulhu are solos not supports, Ullr can be played like an assassin rather than a hunter, etc
i feel like ullr could be on the list, because he works better with a burst damage build rather than a traditional adc/dps build, making him a sort of physical damage mage in a way?

Ok but like Horus jungle. 9/10 times I get the mid gank 2 mins in the game. Ult is great late game and has good cc and escapes with a pretty safe and easy combo: dash, hydra auto, knock up, hydra ranged auto with bonus damage and possibly runeforge. Idk I’m shit and go off with this 🤷♂️

Ymir is also a class breaker. Even though I don't play Ymir jung, I know he can absolutely dominate it there. Ymir solo is also beast with 1 ring and poly.

Ymir is just stupid in general and a outlier. Dude has the highest natural tank stats without any items while boasting some of the highest damages in the game. Autos that can actually hit over 100% scaling due to passive making him hit autos harder than even hunters on scaling, naturally the highest tanky stats that makes boxing him hellish, and abilities that nuke you from orbit
Not to mention that nightmare fuel 2.2 second insta stun
My Ymir is diamond cuz of jungling 🤷♂️ (earlier seasons tho)

I don't think that Horus is ruining class. He is only extending the concept of physical god with supportive potential as most of the warriors are, almost all of them have something from supports, just not as much, as horus (locking down). Warriors are basically in-between guardians and assasins, between chonky support-oriented gods and full-damage oriented ones, this is why some warriors are closer to junglers (gilgamesh, erlang, vamana) and others to supports (guan yu, herc, horus). So he is not a physical guardian (because he is far behind them, he is even less tanky than some warriors), but he is a High utility warrior.
Imagine not mentioning Sylvanus, who is not only the only guardian with ranged basic attacks, but also the only god in the game with a ground-targeting basic attack.

@@Tonaldo90 lately Osiris has been played more in the jungle than solo, and Xing can be flexed into solo, but he is still definitely a support first. Aphro is just the faulty mindset that healing = support

I know with Jorm he's much more successful playing as a warrior, but if you haven't at least tried Jorm support, fucking try it. Also don't be afraid to build a little bit of damage items like gem of isolation to help with the puddle's slow and Magnus so allies deal more damage if someone so much as steps in your puddle on accident
If you are building damage items you clearly aren't a real support.
What about some of the bruiser/tank mages like zhong and hades? Play more like magical warriors then mages.

Disagree with the sol selection. She’s better built as a mage in the current meta. That may be because magical adc’s currently suck. The items just aren’t worth buying aside from telkhines(idk how to spell it).

Erlang is possibly the greatest cancer on this game his lack of lane clear tools make him too weak for solo but his warrior defenses make him an obnoxious jungle, honestly I'd want him to be the second true magical assassin (mage is in his title) if it weren't for the matter that there are so few good magical items for him

Suprised Ymir isn't on this list. He's a guardian but plays a lot loke a mage. I personally play him like an asassin. Attack speed. With tihuti. Is naaaasty and is definitely an assassin.

Set plays 4 roles and is a hybrid auto attack, ability based assassin with a very aggressive play style
Set plays 2 roles
Set ADC, Mid and Support are not viable ways to play him when he's in a balanced state. He was viable in all roles when he was busted but that's not actually part is his design it's just the fact that overpowered charactera dumpster lane no matter where they are
