Peanuts compared to average starter’s salary now but still a decent amount. Typical nba starters in the 80s weren’t necessarily living in cardboard boxes and eating scraps out of cans

    RIP Abe Pollard previous owner of the Washington Wizards...before he died he promised to give gil a fat contract because of how he basically put the team on the map and got them back in the playoffs in god knows how many years.. Was it a dumb contract? Prolly.. But he was a billionaire and he never had a real supeestar on the wizards the whole time he owned the team which was decades so he never had to spend any money...
