Well FXS would be speculative in that price can go up or down just like anything else. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being max risk and 1 being minimum risk I’d consider it a 6 or 7. Staking FRAX is less so as you’re using a stablecoin and getting around now 20% yield. If you want minimal speculation stick to blue chip assets like ETH, MATIC, BTC, etc. A solid strategy would be taking ETH and restaking on Swell to get the Swell, Eigen and various AVS airdrops. Your risk would be essentially smart contract risk from Swell. Another play is AKT and staking it for the 17% annually. Or maybe a combo of like 4 of these things to mix your risk up. Good luck!

I think they have to change some things to succeed. If they were to rebrand with a new ticker + new website + into a narrative like restaking they could do great. Otherwise they're going to struggle hard.

So you're seeing the difference between Coinmarketcap and Coingecko. Coinmarketcap lists $32 million as of this moment and Gecko $80 million. This has to do with the circulating supply. Coinmarketcap lists 138 million while Gecko lists 339 million. Coinmarketcap says their data is verified while Gecko does not. Binance and Coinbase both also list the circulating supply at 138 million. So if Binance, Coinbase and Coinmarketcap are right it's a market cap of $32 million.
For example one might be saying tokens are unlocked because of X reason while the other is saying they're locked because they still have to technically be vested. I'm not 100% sure what the deal is between the two.
This is a really cool video and I appreciate all the research you do. That said, anyone offering 40% yield is a HUGE red flag, like you mentioned in the video. Guys if you stake anything for super high yield please take your money and run for the f-ing hills before the bull cycle is over.
So this is a misconception. High yield isn't bad, it should just be a flag for you to dig further and ask where does this yield come from? In this case of FRAX it's what's called real yield. It's not coming from them issuing more tokens but from revenue and real sources of yield. Usually this is due to a mismatch between demand and supply. For example if a token is making $1,000,000 a year in profit and offers 90% of their profit to stakers and only 1 guy stakes he'd get an absurd amount of yield. If 2 people stake that yield is cut in half and so on. So some have high yield due to lack of demand and market mismatches. In the case of FRAX the yield is totally sustainable and fine.
Also note the yield isn't pegged to 40%, that would be red flag for sure. It's free floating yield that fluctuates based on the amount of capital staking and the profits etc.
@@jesseeckel2 thanks for the thoughtful response. Real yield is certainly more sustainable, but only as long as revenue holds up. These models completely crumble when the crypto market is in free fall. So again, enjoy those yields while they are around but be sure to get out long before the crash.
I'd guess you feel like that because the vast majority of influencers are scammy and use their audience for personal financial gain either by pumping small caps and claiming wins or running a media business that has nothing to do with being a good investor. So me being an influencer you're naturally distrusting and skeptical.
I have yet to see Jesse be anything but 100% honest. He also constantly reminds you to DYOR and that if you blindly buy what RUclipsrs buy without that research on your own you will lose money.
Unless I misunderstood the interview with the guy from index, he said you can’t benefit from the piece that lets you own a percentage of the revenue which seemed like the main selling point.
So I used the Coinmarketcap numbers however the coingecko numbers are different putting it at $49 million in market cap. I'd lean toward actually in this case Coingecko being correct and I misquoted the wrong market cap. Either way still very small, but not quite as small.
lol, I like your sense of humor but did wanna add some context to your comment: -Bought Titano before ever making a video. I bought off the open market like everyone else and my money went from $3000 to $60,000. Learned about it from a comment on one of my videos. -Made a video on Titano, and had a 3 minute straight section of me warning people about the risks and telling them to do their own research because this was an insane risky project. -I held Titano for 6 months and it skyrocketed going up over 40,000% -I learned the team was planning on keeping their APY at 100,000% FOREVER. Anyone who knows basic math can tell you this is an absurdly stupid idea that would mean the token would literally go to zero. -Upon learning this I sold and made a video explaining why I sold and warning others that the project would eventually collapse. The project of course almost doubled over the next 2 weeks and everyone laughed at me, tried to discredit me and sent me death threats. -Over the next year and a half the project as predicted collapsed to zero and then died. To this day everyone still accuses me of doing something wrong but you judge for yourself.
Frax isn't anything like LUNA. UST was backed by LUNA. Both tokens were correlated. FRAX is backed by treasuries, etc. Not at all correlated. You're saying due to the high yield, but the high yield wasn't why LUNA and UST collapsed. The high yield for UST was actually just subsidized yield. It wasn't an issue. The issue was UST was backed with LUNA. That's why it collapsed. It would be like if I issued two tokens and said that one was worth a dollar because it was backed by the other token I issued.
If it was fixed yes, but a variable APY isn't. They can go way higher than that. Just depends on how well known they are, how many people are in it and the perceived market risk. In this case it's easy to understand that most people don't understand FRAX is fully backed and have stayed away because originally it was similar in some ways to LUNA. However it survived the LUNA collapse (which that alone shows you even their previous model did work) but also they've changed to now being fully backed.

I'd guess you feel like that because the vast majority of influencers are scammy and use their audience for personal financial gain either by pumping small caps and claiming wins or running a media business that has nothing to do with being a good investor. So me being an influencer you're naturally distrusting and skeptical.
I have yet to see Jesse be anything but 100% honest. He also constantly reminds you to DYOR and that if you blindly buy what RUclipsrs buy without that research on your own you will lose money.

Unless I misunderstood the interview with the guy from index, he said you can’t benefit from the piece that lets you own a percentage of the revenue which seemed like the main selling point.

So I used the Coinmarketcap numbers however the coingecko numbers are different putting it at $49 million in market cap. I'd lean toward actually in this case Coingecko being correct and I misquoted the wrong market cap. Either way still very small, but not quite as small.

lol, I like your sense of humor but did wanna add some context to your comment:
-Bought Titano before ever making a video. I bought off the open market like everyone else and my money went from $3000 to $60,000. Learned about it from a comment on one of my videos.
-Made a video on Titano, and had a 3 minute straight section of me warning people about the risks and telling them to do their own research because this was an insane risky project.
-I held Titano for 6 months and it skyrocketed going up over 40,000%
-I learned the team was planning on keeping their APY at 100,000% FOREVER. Anyone who knows basic math can tell you this is an absurdly stupid idea that would mean the token would literally go to zero.
-Upon learning this I sold and made a video explaining why I sold and warning others that the project would eventually collapse. The project of course almost doubled over the next 2 weeks and everyone laughed at me, tried to discredit me and sent me death threats.
-Over the next year and a half the project as predicted collapsed to zero and then died.
To this day everyone still accuses me of doing something wrong but you judge for yourself.

UST was backed by LUNA. Both tokens were correlated.
FRAX is backed by treasuries, etc. Not at all correlated.
You're saying due to the high yield, but the high yield wasn't why LUNA and UST collapsed. The high yield for UST was actually just subsidized yield. It wasn't an issue. The issue was UST was backed with LUNA. That's why it collapsed.
It would be like if I issued two tokens and said that one was worth a dollar because it was backed by the other token I issued.

If it was fixed yes, but a variable APY isn't. They can go way higher than that. Just depends on how well known they are, how many people are in it and the perceived market risk. In this case it's easy to understand that most people don't understand FRAX is fully backed and have stayed away because originally it was similar in some ways to LUNA. However it survived the LUNA collapse (which that alone shows you even their previous model did work) but also they've changed to now being fully backed.
