Watch the funniest Mock The Week moments here! We're uploading your favourite Mock The Week clips featuring Milton Jones, Romesh Ranganathan, Stewart Francis, Hugh Dennis and more every week, hosted by Dara O'Briain.
Mock the Week is a British topical, satirical celebrity panel show, that was created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson.
More accurately, Dara's impression of Peter Sellers' impression of Lawrence Olivier's portrayal of Richard III.
Sellers was an absolute genius
I used to have a cassette tape of Seller's doing the Beatles in different impressions.
So funny 😂😂😂😂
I want to see Dara redub all of Sidious’s scenes now, bonus points if he acts them out too 😄
Bonus points to whom?

Dara O'Briain is the best. I can't stop laughing at this clip
You guys are the funniest and I'm lost as to why the series had to end, end of an era.
The Tory Government has no sense of humour.
I will never be able to look at palpatine the same 😂😂
Loved this from when it was first broadcast and knew I'd never again be able to watch Return of the Jedi without bursting out laughing every time the Emperor says anything thanks to Dara! 🤣
In my mind now Richard III actually wins the Battle of Bosworth by firing blue lightning out of his hands! He corners the would-be Henry VII in an isolated spot and gleefully cackles "Tuuudoooor.... your friends cannot save you nowwww!!!!!" All English history from the Tudors onwards is thus forever wiped out and reboots with a Sith-Lord on the throne instead, Darth Ricardius (someone needs to make a film of this with Dara in the lead role! ;-)
"The One Pound of the Megabus is a pathway to many chickens, some requiring hospital treatment."
Would that treatment require going to Monsoon Poultry Hospital by any chance?
@@mathesonkamin6067 Fuck yes!
@@richardpaxford5792 A little late for the chicken carcass, I would say though.
This and "Private Browsing" are just classic MTW. Never been quite the same since it finished
To Greg, everyone else is the size of a chicken
Did Chris Addison steal Micky Flanagan's racist door there at the end? 😂
This week on Through the Racist Door with Frankie Boyle 😂
To be fair they were just riffing on Monkey which had already pounded that door into the dust 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dara and Chris 🤣 I think they should redub the whole of Star Wars 🤣
Search on youtube for, TWISTED TOONZ - The Original Star Wars Panel. It's a reading of the Radio play of Star Wars by assorted cartoon character voice actors. it's amazing.
One of my favourite clips of all time, thank you for posting!
Love the rhyming slang joke from Greg, excellent turn of phrase
Dara had just one dead horse here but by God he was going to beat it and have a good time in the process
I mean, he traded his kingdom for it so he probably felt like he should get his money's worth
@@jimbobur Oh my god 😂😂😂
It tracks that in Irish schools they would just play the Original Star Wars trilogy and say it was basically the same as the War of Roses
isn't 2:53 just the Trade Federation delegates from Phantom Menace...?
There are definitely some racial undertones in Star Wars. The Trade Federation are clearly imitations of Asians seeking market dominance, the Gungans are basically caricatures of African tribesmen, the Tuscan Raiders are essentially Bedouin warriors...it's pretty overt.
The Prince Harry joke aged well 😂🤣😂
'SKYWALKER!!!!!'
Richard III of the house of Palpatine
Poor Greg. His "stepping in a Richard III" quip was wasted in the flow.
Hey. Leicester also has David Attenborough. So there.
And John Deacon and Mark Selby!
So, 2 fossils?
3:03 😅😆😂😂😂😂😂
MTW is ten out of ten but when they go ‘off script’ from the format and ad-lib, they go to eleven!
Well Dara does appear to have the age that Richard III would have today, so he has that going for him
Which episode?
20th September 2012 Series 11 Episode 9
we’re there more than the three Starwars films made in the ‘70s then?
At least when Ian McDermid dies we’ll have a replacement.
Some jokes age like fine wine... then some... hmm....
Yup, bit unfortunate
I remember reading about it and just looked it up; he was found in 2012. When did this episode air? I'm in the States, so these are all new to me.
@@bikeny 20th September 2012
Cause Star Wars and a Palpatine reference is old?
@@johnnym3071 They're most likely referring to the blatant Asian racism at the end...
Chinese Travelers?
The official history of Richard the Third is a classic example of the winner rewriting history to destroy the character of the vanquished. Pure propaganda.
Have you read Daughter of Time?
@@qwertyTRiG No I've not. Sounds intriguing though.
@@tinplategeektoo Josephine Tay is a very good writer. It's an enjoyable read.
The end of this video did not age well...
It's fine not to be a Megan Markle fan, but they refer to her as a skip now?
Harsh.... :)
I like Chris a lot but his "Chinese" accent is cringe.
British who's line is it anyway
Whose line is it anyways WAS a British show first. They copied it. It even had Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie on it.
@@Alacritous oh I didn't know that interesting
In fact, the original producers moved the show to Los Angeles because 90% of the comedians* were based there and flying them to Britain was pricey on a panel show budget. The last UK season was filmed there, then the US show hosted by Drew Carey took over using the same sets.
*The other 10% were Colin Mochrie, a Canadian.
@@edwardphilibin3151 They were regular guests but let's not forget Josie Lawrence, Tony Slattery, John Sessions, Stephen Fry, Paul Merton, David Walliams, Neil Mullarkey, Humphrey Ker, Sandi Toksvig, Peter Cook, even Jonathan Pryce.
