How does is fair with good old Samson SR850?
It's always nice to hear about a good experience with a budget set of cans. What I want to know: Do these compete with the Samson SR990, or the good old HD280 Pro?
I haven't tried the Samsons but it's easily on par with the HD668B.

How does it compare with the Audio Technica ATHM40X?
I don't have a pair on hand for comparison unfortunately.
@PrimeAudioReviews They're my favorite closed back budget set, but only with brainwavz angled pads. Opens up the sound stage and the imaging is extremely precise. Great for music and gaming.
Can this compete with audio technica ATH-M50X ?
I wish I could tell you but I don't have the M50X to compare.

There is no locking mechanism. It's a standard 3.5mm jack.

I check the price in my country and wow it is close to ath m30x.. I would choose m30x
M30x is also nice. M60 has some extra features though.
